Lead Generation for Accounting and Finance Software: How Many Finance Buyers You Can Reach
Lead generation for accounting software on Dupple reaches people who chose Finance & Accounting as their role: 4,856 quiz answers from 5 Aug to 3 Nov 2026. Only 521 of them are decision-makers at companies of 51 or more employees, so a pilot sized on the 4,856 would overstate the pool. Buyers reach them through Lead Generation, which runs per click (CPC, cost per click) or per lead (CPL, cost per lead).
Quick answer
- 4,856 new subscribers chose Finance & Accounting as their role between 5 Aug and 3 Nov 2026 (quiz answers, 90 days), which is 3.7% of all respondents.
- 27.6% of that role are decision-makers (Founder, C-Suite or Director/VP), and 521 of them work at companies of 51 or more employees, 10.7% of the role.
- 12.9% of the role use a non-consumer email domain, an upper bound for business addresses, and 20.2% of its decision-makers do.
- At most 92 decision-makers at 51+ companies with a non-consumer domain appeared in the 90 days to 3 Nov 2026, so a pilot that needs 100 such leads cannot be filled from that pool.
- Finance & Banking respondents clicked 7.4% of the offer cards they saw in 30 days (4 Oct to 3 Nov 2026), and those with a Finance & Accounting role clicked 8.1% (807 people).
The finance and accounting audience in numbers
| Segment | People | Decision-makers | At 51+ employees | Decision-makers at 51+ (count) | Country known | US share of known country |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Finance & Accounting role, any industry | 4,856 | 27.6% (1,342) | 40.9% | 10.7% (521) | 82.5% | 47.7% |
| Finance & Accounting role, decision-makers only | 1,342 | 100.0% | 38.8% | 521 | 84.8% | 53.9% |
| Finance & Banking and Finance & Accounting role | 2,673 | 26.3% (704) | 43.4% | 9.8% (261) | 82.8% | 45.3% |
| Finance & Banking industry, any role | 9,135 | 30.3% (2,767) | 42.6% | 13.3% (1,217) | 76.3% | 46.8% |
Table A: quiz answers, 5 Aug to 3 Nov 2026, figures as of 3 Nov 2026 (n = 4,856 in the role, 1,342 role decision-makers, 2,673 in the role within Finance & Banking, 9,135 in Finance & Banking). Source: Dupple Offer Network data, read 3 Nov 2026. For the decision-makers row, the 51+ share is a share of that row's 1,342 people.
Of the 4,856 in this role, 2,183 did not choose Finance & Banking as their industry: 45.0% of the role (4,856 minus 2,673, computed). The other 55.0% chose Finance & Banking, so an industry filter alone would drop nearly half of the role.
Of respondents with a known country (82.5% of the role), 47.7% are in the United States. The next shares are the United Kingdom at 8.5%, the United Arab Emirates at 5.9%, Canada at 5.6%, Australia at 5.4% and Spain at 5.2%.
The post-signup audience page reports 13.3% (1,217) decision-makers at 51+ companies across Finance & Banking (5 Aug to 3 Nov 2026). Its 9.8% (261) is the Finance & Accounting role inside Finance & Banking; across all industries the role is 10.7% (521).

Work email: the upper-bound check
We call a domain non-consumer when it is missing from our list of about 50 consumer mailbox providers (Gmail, Yahoo, Outlook and similar). A personal domain off that list is counted too, so each share below is a ceiling on business addresses. The counts are exact.
For the Finance & Accounting role across all industries, 12.9% use a non-consumer domain. Among its decision-makers the share is 20.2%. Among the 521 decision-makers at 51+ companies, 92 use a non-consumer domain, which is 17.7% (92 divided by 521, computed). We found no independent study of work-email shares in sign-ups to set beside the 12.9%.
Inside Finance & Banking, the role's share is 12.0% (322 of 2,673). Its decision-makers at 51+ companies are 38 of 261, or 14.6% (computed; small base: 261 people). The data has three email rows for this role: the role across all industries (12.9%, and 92 of 521 decision-makers at 51+, 17.7% computed), the role's decision-makers across all industries (20.2%), and the role inside Finance & Banking (12.0%, and 38 of 261). These email figures cover the 90 days to 3 Nov 2026, from the same quiz answers as Table A.
For a pay-per-lead pilot, Dupple can run a business-email check and a company-size check on each lead. Suppose a lead must also be a decision-maker at a 51+ company. The 90-day pool for that is at most 92 people across all industries, and 38 of them are inside Finance & Banking. That number is a ceiling set before anyone sees or clicks an offer. A pilot that needs 100 such leads cannot be filled from one quarter's new subscribers.
The options that could change that arithmetic are a wider targeting rule (for example Manager as a job level, or companies of 11 to 50 staff), a longer window, or pay per click instead. The data here does not size any of them, and it gives no lead rate. For a pay-per-lead offer, the lead definition is not published; ask us before you count.
For the arithmetic from a click rate to a cost per lead with your own inputs, see the cost-per-lead model.
Click rates for finance respondents
| Segment | People | Card views | Clicks | Click rate |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Finance & Banking respondents | 2,481 | 16,894 | 1,245 | 7.4% |
| Finance & Banking respondents with a Finance & Accounting role | 807 | 5,853 | 477 | 8.1% |
| Finance & Banking respondents in the United States | 1,281 | 9,129 | 511 | 5.6% |
| Finance & Banking respondents outside the United States | 1,188 | 7,719 | 734 | 9.5% |
| Technology respondents with a Finance & Accounting role (small sample, n = 100) | 100 | 670 | 69 | 10.3% |
Table B: offer-card views and clicks, 4 Oct to 3 Nov 2026 (30 days). Click rate is clicks per card view, and a click is not a lead. Source: Dupple Offer Network data, read 3 Nov 2026.
Finance & Banking respondents with a Finance & Accounting role clicked 8.1%, 0.7 points above the 7.4% for all of Finance & Banking, and the data does not test whether that gap is more than chance. The country gap is wider: Finance & Banking respondents in the United States clicked 5.6%, and those outside the United States clicked 9.5%, a gap of 3.9 points.
The Technology row is small (n = 100), so read its 10.3% as a direction only. The data has no click rate for the Finance & Accounting role across all industries, and Dupple does not publish a click-to-lead rate. For outside context only: an industry body, the UK's Data & Marketing Association (DMA), puts the 2024 unique email click rate at 2.3%, from seven UK email service providers. The Finance & Banking rates here are higher, but they measure clicks per offer-card view, and we found no independent benchmark for that.
Example target, not a forecast: 100 clicks from Finance & Banking respondents with a Finance & Accounting role would need about 1,235 offer-card views at their 8.1% rate (100 divided by 0.081, rounded up to whole card views). For the fintech side of the same industry answer, the lead generation for fintech and payments page splits Finance & Banking by a different role group, and the lead generation by industry for tech and finance hub covers the wider picture.
For the whole Finance & Banking industry and its other roles, see lead generation for banking and lending products.
How a campaign would be targeted
Targeting uses quiz answers. The options are Industry (10 options), Job level (8), Role (14), Company size (6) and Country, set at country level, with strict mode available to keep the offer out of countries you do not choose. Other levers are device, the newsletter joined, weekdays only on US Eastern time, and excluded email domains. Targeting has no accounting, bookkeeping or finance-software option. The closest fields are Industry = Finance & Banking and Role = Finance & Accounting, and job title is not one of the targeting fields.
The live page's example "Finance professionals at manager level and above" is a rule with Role = Finance & Accounting AND Job level = Manager, Director/VP or C-Suite. In the role, Manager is 22.6%, Director/VP 11.1% and C-Suite 4.3%, which together make 38.0% of the role (computed). Rule A: Role = Finance & Accounting AND Job level = Manager, Director/VP or C-Suite. A stricter version of Rule A adds Company size = 51-200, 201-1000 or 1000+. The three sizes are 12.9%, 10.0% and 18.0% of the role, together 40.9% (computed, equal to the role's 51+ share). The data does not give the share that meets both conditions of the stricter version, so do not multiply 38.0% by 40.9%.
A finance reader joins a newsletter, picks options from the quiz, and can then meet your offer on the offer wall or in the welcome and follow-up emails. Opening an offer is the reader's own choice; the reader is not an exclusive lead, not an MQL (marketing-qualified lead) by itself, and not intent data. When an offer is set to targeted readers only, someone who skipped the role question cannot match a Role = Finance & Accounting rule. What counts as a lead covers what Dupple can check on a lead; the definition itself is not published, so ask us.
The Lead Generation page lists no CPC or CPL price. Applicants send their offer, terms and CPC or CPL, and Dupple reviews applications weekly. Each offer can get a private live report link that shows clicks by placement (offer wall, welcome email and email sequences), and the report shows clicks, not results. To keep your current customers and open pipeline out, list their email domains as exclusions: the offer wall does not show your offer to readers from those domains.
For fixed-price placements aimed at finance readers, see fintech advertising.
Newsletter
Finpresso is Dupple's daily finance and tech newsletter, and its list has 31,000+ subscribers in total. That count is the whole list, not the quiz sample, and it is not part of any figure on this page. The quiz is not split by newsletter.
What offers fit
The live page's best-fit list names five kinds of offer: broad B2B tech offers a reader can use straight away, free newsletters, free tools and calculators with email capture, eBooks and guides on AI, marketing and engineering, and trial signups of software-as-a-service (SaaS) products that show value quickly.
The data here does not split clicks by offer type, so it cannot say which of these five a finance-role reader clicks.
If your offer is a calculator or an assessment, Lead Magnet builds it and returns each lead with the reader's answers.
Limits
- Self-reported answers. Quiz answers are self-reported from fixed lists and not verified individually. The Finance & Accounting role can include founders who keep their own books, and the quiz does not say which people do accounting work.
- No accounting option. The segment is a quiz answer, not a list of accounting software buyers.
- Small work-email supply. The 92 and 38 counts are the people who passed the non-consumer test. The non-consumer shares are upper bounds for business addresses.
- Country. 17.5% of the role has no country on record, so the US share covers only the 82.5% with a known country.
- Two country rows do not add up. The United States and outside-United-States rows add to 2,469 of the 2,481 Finance & Banking respondents, so 12 are in neither row.
- Small row. The Technology row has n = 100.
- Clicks are not leads, and the windows differ. Quiz figures cover 90 days and click figures cover 30 days. The two are not combined here, and no click-to-lead rate is published.
- Missing cuts. There is no click rate for the Finance & Accounting role across all industries, and no quiz breakdown by newsletter.

FAQ
How many finance and accounting buyers sign up?
Between 5 Aug and 3 Nov 2026, 4,856 new subscribers chose Finance & Accounting as their role, which is 3.7% of the quiz respondents. Of those, 1,342 are decision-makers and 521 are decision-makers at companies of 51 or more employees. These are quiz answers from people who joined in that window, not the whole subscriber base.
How many finance-role sign-ups have a work email?
The share with a non-consumer email domain is 12.9% across all industries, and 12.0% (322 of 2,673) inside Finance & Banking, over 90 days to 3 Nov 2026. Both are upper bounds, because any domain outside the consumer list counts. Among the 521 decision-makers at 51+ companies, 92 use a non-consumer domain.
Can a pay-per-lead pilot fill 100 leads from this audience?
Not from one quarter's sign-ups, if each lead must be a decision-maker at a 51+ company with a non-consumer domain. The pool is at most 92 people across all industries in the 90 days to 3 Nov 2026. Dupple can run a business-email check and a company-size check on each lead, but the lead definition is not published, so ask us before you count.
Do finance people click more offers?
Finance & Banking respondents clicked 7.4% of their offer cards in 30 days (4 Oct to 3 Nov 2026), and those with a Finance & Accounting role clicked 8.1% (807 people). The country split is wider: 5.6% in the United States against 9.5% outside it. There is no click rate for the role across all industries.
Can I target controllers or CFOs?
Not by title. Targeting uses Job level (C-Suite, Director/VP, Manager and the other options) together with Role = Finance & Accounting, and job title is not a targeting field. The quiz has no CFO (chief financial officer) option, so CFOs cannot be picked out from the other C-Suite answers.
