Fintech Lead Generation: Who You Can Reach and How to Choose a Provider

Trusted by790,000+ Techpresso subscribers·Editorial policy·How we make money

Fintech lead generation means putting an offer in front of readers who chose Finance & Banking and an engineering, data or product role in Dupple's quiz. From 5 Aug to 3 Nov 2026, 1,206 new subscribers did, and 58.8% of them work at companies of 51 or more employees. Buyers pick between four provider types for this audience, and audience networks such as Dupple are one of them.

Through Lead Generation, a buyer can pay per click (CPC, cost per click) or per lead (CPL, cost per lead) for this audience. The quiz has no fintech or payments option, so the segment is built from the Finance & Banking industry and an engineering, data or product role. Everyone in it chose Finance & Banking as their industry in the quiz, so consumer fintech sits outside this data.

Quick answer

  • 1,206 people (0.9% of the 130,965 quiz answers from 5 Aug to 3 Nov 2026) chose Finance & Banking and an engineering, data or product role: the fintech builders.
  • 58.8% of those builders work at companies of 51 or more employees, against 42.6% of all Finance & Banking respondents.
  • 190 builders (15.8%) are decision-makers at companies of 51 or more employees, over the same 90 days.
  • Finance & Banking decision-makers at 51+ clicked 9.3% of the offer cards they saw over 30 days (206 clicks from 2,215 card views), a small sample of 339 people.

Finance & Banking, Operations & Project Management 566 26.9% 60.4% 15.5% (88) 81.6% 50.6%

Table 1: quiz answers from 5 Aug to 3 Nov 2026 (90 days), new subscribers who answered the post-signup quiz, not the whole list. n = 1,206, 9,135, 1,125 and 566 people by row. Decision-makers are Founders, C-Suite or Director/VP. Source: Dupple Offer Network data, read 3 Nov 2026.

The builders sit at larger companies than finance as a whole: 58.8% are at 51+ employees against 42.6%, and 35.6% are at 1000+ employees. Their decision-maker share is lower than the Finance & Banking average (26.2% against 30.3%). By role answer, the group is 53.6% Data & Analytics, 26.8% Engineering & Software Development and 19.7% Product Management. Who Signs Up puts the decision-maker share of all 130,965 respondents at 28.6% over the same 90 days.

The pool is the real constraint. The 190 builder decision-makers at 51+ companies are 15.6% of the 1,217 Finance & Banking decision-makers at 51+ companies. A budget that needs more than 190 in 90 days cannot be sized from this data.

Work-email share: an upper bound

Across Finance & Banking, 12.8% of respondents use an email domain that is not a consumer mailbox provider: 1,169 of 9,135, measured over the 90 days to 3 Nov 2026. Consumer providers (about 50, such as Gmail and Yahoo) are set aside, so every other domain counts as non-consumer. The share is an upper bound for business addresses. We found no independent, non-vendor benchmark for this share.

Among Finance & Banking decision-makers at 51+ companies, 211 of 1,217 (17.3%) use a non-consumer domain, also an upper bound. Dupple has no email figure for the builders alone.

What Dupple can check on a pay-per-lead offer, and what stays unpublished, is set out in what counts as a lead.

Table 2: offer-card views and clicks by quiz respondents, 4 Oct to 3 Nov 2026 (30 days), with each row's own card views. Click rate = clicks per card view, not a lead rate. Rows under 500 people are small samples. The US and outside-US rows cover 2,469 of the 2,481 people in the first row. Source: Dupple Offer Network data, read 3 Nov 2026.

Finance & Banking respondents outside the US clicked at 9.5% (734 clicks from 7,719 card views), against 5.6% in the US (511 clicks from 9,129). For an example target of 100 clicks, the card views needed are 1,786 at the US rate of 5.6%, against 1,053 at the outside-US rate of 9.5% (100 divided by the rate, rounded up). Example target, not a forecast. The only independent click figure we found is for email: the Data & Marketing Association (DMA), a UK industry body, reports a 2.3% unique click rate for 2024 from seven UK email service providers. Both rates here are higher, but they are per offer-card view, so the DMA number gives scale, not confirmation.

Data & Analytics is the only builder role above the Finance & Banking rate of 7.4%, at 8.4% from 167 people. Engineering and Product both sit at 6.8%. All three rows are small samples, and the 7.6% combined rate is our sum of those three rows (175 clicks from 2,309 card views), not a figure Dupple reports. A click only shows interest in the card; Dupple publishes no figure for how many clicks become leads.

To go from these click rates to a cost per lead with your own inputs, use the cost-per-lead model.

How to choose a lead generation provider for fintech

Four provider types sell lead generation, and each hands you something different. Compare them on what you receive before you compare prices.

  • Data and intent platforms: your own team runs outreach from a contact or intent database, so the list, the sequence and the follow-up stay with you. The data side is covered in B2B intent data providers and B2B contact databases.
  • Outbound agencies: a team prospects for you and hands over meetings or leads. Its prospecting list decides who you meet, so ask which roles and company sizes it targets.
  • Content syndication vendors: a lead is a person who registers for your content, filtered on your criteria, so the content has to carry the registration. See content syndication providers compared.
  • Audience networks paid per click or per lead: readers answer a quiz and may click an offer, and you pay for the click or the lead as agreed. This is where Dupple sits. Dupple is an audience network, not an agency, so it does not prospect for you.

Ask any provider these four questions before you sign, using the fintech data above:

  1. How will you reach the Data & Analytics, Engineering & Software Development and Product Management roles, and can you filter on the 51+ company sizes that the table shows?
  2. What counts as a lead, and is that definition written into the contract?
  3. Can I exclude the domains of current customers and open pipeline before the offer goes out?
  4. What report do I get, and does it show clicks or results? A click is not a lead, so a click report alone cannot size a pilot budget.

For the full list of B2B lead generation companies, grouped by these provider types, read B2B lead generation companies compared by type.

How a campaign would be targeted

Targeting uses the quiz dimensions and the option labels the Lead Generation page lists:

  • Industry (10 options). Finance & Banking is the option that matches this segment.
  • Job level (8 options): Founder, C-Suite, Director/VP, Manager, Individual Contributor, Freelancer, Student or Intern, Other.
  • Role (14 options), including Engineering & Software Development, Data & Analytics and Product Management.
  • Company size (6 options): Just me, 2-10, 11-50, 51-200, 201-1000, 1000+ employees.
  • Country, set at country level, with strict mode so the offer is never shown outside the chosen countries.
  • More levers: device, the newsletter the reader joined, weekdays only on US Eastern time, and email domains to exclude.

Two example rules show how the conditions combine. Rule A: Industry is Finance & Banking, AND Role is Engineering & Software Development, Data & Analytics or Product Management, AND Company size is 51-200, 201-1000 or 1000+ employees. Rule B: Industry is Finance & Banking, AND Job level is Founder, C-Suite or Director/VP. Rule A OR Rule B can reach both audiences with one offer.

Under Rule A, the company-size condition keeps 58.8% of the builders: 51-200 is 10.9%, 201-1000 is 12.3% and 1000+ is 35.6%. Dropping 51-200 keeps 47.8%, the 201+ share. Rule B has no role condition, so its supply is all Finance & Banking decision-makers: 30.3% (2,767) of 9,135 respondents, of whom 1,217 work at 51+ companies.

For country, 39.2% of builders with a known country are in the US, so builders known to be in the US are 31.8% of all builders (0.392 multiplied by 0.812). Among builders with a known country, 60.8% are outside the US, led by the United Kingdom (10.8%), Canada (5.8%), Italy (5.7%), Poland (5.3%) and Singapore (4.8%). Country is unknown for 18.8% of builders, and the Lead Generation page does not say how a country rule treats them.

For intent data and website-visitor identification, a different signal from quiz answers, see B2B intent data providers.

How the post-signup flow works

Someone joins a Dupple newsletter, then answers a short quiz, choosing a role, job level, industry and company size from fixed options. The offer can then show on the offer wall, in the welcome email or in the follow-up emails. In some countries a full-page screen with one selected offer comes before the wall. The reader chose to look at an offer, so a click is not a request for a sales call, and the reader is not an exclusive lead, a marketing-qualified lead (MQL) by itself, or intent data.

An offer limited to targeted readers only stays hidden from every reader your rules do not match. Targeting applies to readers who answered the quiz, and a reader whose answer is unknown never matches a rule that uses that question.

You pay per click (CPC) or per lead (CPL). The Lead Generation page lists no CPC or CPL price; applicants send their offer, terms and CPC or CPL, and Dupple reviews applications weekly. The form says a person replies within 24 hours.

For a pay-per-lead offer, Dupple can run a business-email check and a company-size check, with job title and company size enriched. Dupple tags each click with its placement, unless your link already sets its own utm_medium, and each offer can get a private live report of clicks by placement: offer wall, welcome email and email sequences. The report shows clicks, not results.

Dupple can deliver leads to a shared sheet or to a webhook. A list of email domains can be excluded, so the offer wall does not show the offer to readers from those domains. The exact lead definition for a pay-per-lead offer is not published: ask us.

What offers fit

The offer types the Lead Generation page lists as the fit are broad B2B (business to business) tech offers a new subscriber can use right away, free newsletters, free tools and calculators with email capture, eBooks and guides on AI (artificial intelligence), marketing and engineering, and free trials of SaaS (software as a service) products with short time-to-value.

The builder data points toward tools and guides for data and engineering work: data roles are 53.6% of the group and engineering 26.8%, and Data & Analytics is the one builder role above the Finance & Banking click rate. Those rows are small samples, so test two or three creatives before you commit a budget.

Finpresso, Dupple's daily finance and tech newsletter, is the newsletter closest to this topic. It has 31,000+ subscribers across the whole list, a different count from the quiz answers on this page. Its Dupple page is Finpresso. For the wider industry cut of the same quiz data, read lead generation by industry, tech and finance, and for the SaaS cut, read lead generation for B2B SaaS.

For how post-signup offers compare with content syndication programs, see co-registration vs content syndication.

Limits

  • The builder decision-maker pool is 190 people at 51+ companies over 90 days. The data has no other window.
  • The three builder role click rows are small samples (167, 102 and 77 people), and the combined 346 is still small.
  • There is no email figure for the builders alone. The 12.8% and 17.3% above are Finance & Banking figures, and both are upper bounds.
  • Quiz answers are self-reported from fixed options. Among builders, 3.8% did not answer job level and 3.0% did not answer company size, and 18.8% have no known country.
  • The data has no payment volume, no split by company type (bank, fintech startup or corporate finance team), no intent data, and no quiz breakdown by newsletter, so the builder numbers cannot be split by newsletter.
  • Audience counts cover 90 days (5 Aug to 3 Nov 2026) and click rates cover 30 days (4 Oct to 3 Nov 2026). Do not combine the two windows into one per-person figure.
  • A click is not a lead. The data does not show what share of clicks became leads, and the lead definition is not published: ask us.

FAQ

How many fintech builders sign up?

1,206 new subscribers who answered the quiz from 5 Aug to 3 Nov 2026 picked Finance & Banking and an engineering, data or product role. Only 190 of the builders are decision-makers at companies of 51 or more employees.

What click rate do finance decision-makers show?

Finance & Banking decision-makers clicked offer cards at 7.7% over 30 days (408 clicks from 5,310 card views, 799 people). The subgroup at 51+ employees clicked at 9.3%, but that row is a small sample of 339 people.

Why does the US click less?

Finance & Banking respondents in the US clicked at 5.6% (511 clicks from 9,129 card views) over 30 days to 3 Nov 2026, against 9.5% outside the US (734 from 7,719). The data shows the gap but not its cause. A US-only offer should be sized at the 5.6% rate.

Which type of lead generation provider fits a fintech company?

It depends on what you need the provider to do. A team that wants its own outreach needs a data platform, a team that wants someone else to prospect needs an outbound agency, and a team that wants registered leads for a piece of content needs a content syndication vendor. A team that wants readers to see a short offer and pay per click or per lead needs an audience network, which is the model this page describes.

Is this audience consumers?

No. The segment is defined by the Finance & Banking industry answer, chosen from fixed options. The data does not show whether anyone is a consumer shopping for a card or an account, and consumer fintech is outside this quiz data.
