Who is responsible

dupple.com is the flagship site of Dupple, an independent media company founded by Louis Corneloup in Paris in 2023. Pages are published under the byline of Louis Corneloup, Dupple's founder, and corrections go to his address. The site is written for people who choose and pay for software at work, and the readers of the Dupple newsletters.

How a page is made

  1. Brief. Each review and guide starts from a brief that names the question it answers, the products it covers and, before any writing, the verified facts it may use: plan names, prices, billing basis, free plan or trial, each with the URL and date it was read.
  2. Research on first-party sources. For a software review the source of record is the vendor: its pricing page for prices and plans, its documentation or changelog for features. Where we have verified a vendor's pricing page, the review, compare, alternatives and pricing pages that quote it link that page with the month it was checked; the list of those pages is kept in the repository and re-checked by the Toolradar pricing tracker.
  3. Drafting with AI assistance. Drafts are produced with AI writing assistance from the brief. The draft may not contradict the verified facts anywhere: summary, table, product cards or FAQ.
  4. Fact-check. Every price, plan, version, feature and statistic in the draft is checked again against a first-party source: the vendor's own page, or our own data. A fact that cannot be confirmed that way is removed, not kept because it was already there.
  5. Quality checks. An automated check must pass before a page is committed: house style (no filler words), structure (sections, comparison table, FAQ), internal and source links, dated data points, and no leftovers from research such as a page that failed to load. The page is then reviewed against a written quality bar: is the answer in the first paragraph, do the numbers match everywhere on the page, does each pick say when to choose it over the others.
  6. Publish and date. The page shows when it was last updated. The publication date never changes after the fact; the updated date moves only when the content genuinely changed.

Sources and prices

Guides that compare AI assistants and models quote model names, context windows and plan limits only from the vendor's own pricing page or documentation, because those figures change faster than anything else we cover. When OpenAI, Anthropic or Google changes a plan, the guides that name it are updated together.

The outside domains our /learn guides link to most often, by number of pages: github.com (78), chatgpt.com (70), hubspot.com (63), openai.com (58), zoho.com (58), microsoft.com (54), claude.ai (42), salesforce.com (35), help.openai.com (34), quickbooks.intuit.com (32). Links to our own sites and social networks are not counted.

How we use AI

AI writing assistance produces first drafts from a brief that already holds the verified facts, and helps with structure and editing. It is not a source: no price, plan, statistic or quote on dupple.com is published because a model said so. We do not claim hands-on testing we did not do: Dupple does not run a test lab. Our pages compare vendor documentation, pricing pages, changelogs and public user reports.

Updates

A page is refreshed when its prices are older than 60 days, when a product it names is discontinued, renamed or acquired, or when a reader or vendor shows us it is wrong. A refresh re-checks every price and product status on the vendor's page. Substantive fixes are listed on our corrections page.

Independence and money

dupple.com is free to read. Dupple is funded by sponsorships in its newsletters (at most three sponsors per issue, each labelled), by affiliate commissions, and by vendors who pay to be listed in some guides or to sponsor an article. Some outbound links to products are affiliate links: if you buy, we may earn a commission. The product links our page templates generate carry rel="sponsored".

Paid placements are disclosed on the page. When a vendor pays to be listed in a guide, the guide names it in a disclosure under the title, and a sponsored article names its sponsor. A paid placement can set that vendor's position in the guide, and the vendor may write or approve the text of its own entry. Some products are also on a list because they have an affiliate program with us; they get the same card as every other product, with prices from their own pricing page and their cons. The full disclosure is on dupple.com/affiliate-disclosure.

Email [email protected] with the page URL and the correction. Vendors disputing a fact should include the primary source (the page where the right figure is published). See how corrections work and how we rate.
