What is Gemini Enterprise?
Gemini Enterprise is Google's business subscription for the Gemini assistant and AI agents that work across your company's apps, email, documents and data. It is sold per seat and is separate from the Gemini features that come inside a Google Workspace plan.
That second point causes most of the confusion. Google Workspace business plans already include Gemini in Gmail and Docs, and our Google Workspace pricing guide covers those editions. Gemini Enterprise is a different product: in the Workspace Admin console, Business edition is added, assigned and cancelled as its own subscription, with its own licenses. If you only want help drafting emails in Gmail, you probably need a Workspace plan, not this.
What Gemini Enterprise adds is the agent layer. Google lists connectors to Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, HubSpot, Jira and other tools, a no-code Workflow Builder for custom agents, prebuilt Google agents, Gemini Notebook for enterprise and one central view of every agent in the company. In plain terms, it is built to search and act across all of a team's systems, not only Google's.
How much does Gemini Enterprise cost per user?
The two starting prices in the table above are the only Gemini Enterprise prices Google prints, one for Business and one shared by Standard and Plus. Everything else about the bill depends on your seat count and, for the larger editions, on a quote.
Several third-party sites quote other figures for monthly plans without a commitment, a separate Plus price, extra storage per GiB and a Frontline seat minimum. None of those appear on Google's subscriptions page, so we leave them out. If you need them, the Standard and Plus sales conversation is where you get a real number in writing.
The Business price is well below the norm for paid AI agent tools. Dupple data: Toolradar, our software directory, tracks 1,022 AI agent tools as of 28 October 2026, and the median cheapest paid plan among the 319 that publish a price is $29 a month (Toolradar AI agents data). Business edition starts $8 a seat below that median.
What does a 10-seat team or a 50-seat company pay?
Here are the yearly totals at Google's printed "starting at" prices. All figures are our arithmetic, dated October 2026, before tax and before any discount a sales team might offer.
| Team size | Edition | Per month | Per year | Pooled storage |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 10 seats | Business | $210 | $2,520 | 250 GiB |
| 50 seats | Business | $1,050 | $12,600 | 1,250 GiB |
| 50 seats | Standard or Plus, from | $1,500 | $18,000 | Up to 3,750 GiB |
A 10-person team has one realistic option: Business. It is self-serve, it has a trial, and the security features in Standard and Plus (VPC Service Controls, customer-managed encryption keys, data residency) solve problems small teams rarely have.
A 50-person company faces a real choice. Business still fits under its seat cap and costs $5,400 a year less than Standard at the starting rates. Standard earns that gap only if you need what Business lacks: higher Gemini usage limits, your own agents built with Google's Agent Development Kit or third-party agents, enterprise compliance controls, or triple the pooled storage per seat.
Google also points developer teams toward Standard and Plus. Its Workspace admin help says that after changes starting 7 July 2026, Workspace Business and Enterprise customers lose access to Gemini Code Assist and Gemini CLI, and it names Gemini Enterprise Standard or Plus as the way to keep them. For an engineering-heavy company, that can tip the decision.
What is the difference between Business, Standard and Plus?
Business is the self-serve edition. It includes the Gemini assistant for business, Gemini Notebook for enterprise, the connectors, the no-code Workflow Builder, prebuilt agents, built-in security and governance and 25 GiB of pooled storage and indexing per seat. Its weakness is the cap: Business stops at 300 seats, so a growing company will eventually move up.
Standard and Plus share one card on Google's page and one starting price. They include everything in Business and add:
- higher usage limits for Gemini
- your own agents built with the Agent Development Kit, or third-party agents
- VPC Service Controls and customer-managed encryption keys
- cloud compliance and data boundaries for data residency
- compliance features in Gemini Notebook for enterprise
- up to 75 GiB of pooled storage and indexing per seat, and unlimited seats
- the option to buy Gemini Enterprise Frontline for frontline workers
Google's public page does not separate Plus from Standard, which is the main weakness of this pricing. You cannot compare the two without a sales call, so anyone budgeting for Plus should ask for both quotes side by side.
Is there a Gemini Enterprise free trial?
Yes, for Business edition. Google's subscriptions page shows a "Start a trial" button on the Business card, while Standard and Plus go through "Contact sales". Google does not state the trial length next to that button on the US page, so check it in the sign-up flow before you commit.
If you are an individual rather than a team, a business edition is the wrong product. Google's consumer plans on the same page start at $4.99 a month for Google AI Plus and $19.99 for Google AI Pro, and our guide to whether Gemini is free covers what the no-cost version already does. Students and new users should also read how to get Gemini Pro for free before paying for anything.
Gemini Enterprise vs Microsoft 365 Copilot: which costs less?
At list prices, Gemini Enterprise Business and Microsoft 365 Copilot Business cost the same per seat, and the enterprise tiers also match. The difference is what you must already own.
| Product | List price per user a month | Billing shown | What it requires |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gemini Enterprise Business | From $21 | Starting price, no term shown | Sold as its own subscription; connects to Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace |
| Gemini Enterprise Standard / Plus | From $30 | Starting price, contact sales | Sales contract |
| Microsoft 365 Copilot Business (add-on) | $21 ($18 first-year promotion) | Paid yearly; $25.20 on monthly billing | An eligible Microsoft 365 Business plan |
| Microsoft 365 Copilot (add-on) | $30 | Paid yearly | A Microsoft 365 plan |
Sources: Gemini subscriptions, Microsoft 365 Copilot business pricing and Microsoft Copilot Studio pricing, read 28 October 2026. Microsoft's $18 rate is a discount for purchases between 1 July and 31 December 2026 and applies to the first year only, with an annual commitment.
For 10 seats, Copilot Business costs $2,520 a year at its list price, the same as Gemini Enterprise Business, or $2,160 in year one with the promotion (our arithmetic). The catch is the prerequisite: Copilot is an add-on to a Microsoft 365 plan you already pay for, while Gemini Enterprise is sold as its own subscription. A company already on Microsoft 365 adds only the Copilot seat. A company on Google Workspace that wants agents across Workspace and other tools pays for Gemini Enterprise on top of Workspace.
At 50 seats on the enterprise tiers, both sides start at $18,000 a year (50 seats at $30 for 12 months, our arithmetic). If your team is weighing Gemini against other assistants instead, see Gemini vs ChatGPT and Claude vs Gemini, and the Gemini profile on Toolradar.
Does Google train on Gemini Enterprise data?
No, according to Google. Its subscriptions page says that on Business, Standard and Plus, your data, including prompts and outputs, is not used to train Google models or models for any other customer. Google also says it never sells customer data to third parties and does not use it for advertising.
That promise is the main reason to buy a business edition instead of letting staff use personal Gemini accounts. A consumer plan is tied to a personal Google account, while Gemini Enterprise gives an admin control over who has a seat and which agents they can reach.
Hidden costs and limits to plan for
- Starting prices are floors. Google prints "starting at" figures and no billing term, so the price on your contract can differ by term, seat count or edition.
- The seat ceiling. Business ends at 300 seats. Past that, every seat moves to Standard or Plus at a starting price $9 higher per seat a month, which is $32,400 more a year for 300 seats (our arithmetic).
- No public Plus price. Budgeting for Plus means a sales call before you have any number.
- Workspace is a separate bill. Gemini Enterprise does not replace a Google Workspace plan, so a Google-based company pays for both.
- Storage is pooled per seat. Business gives 25 GiB per seat to the shared pool. Ten seats share 250 GiB for indexed company data, which a document-heavy team could fill.

FAQ
How much does Gemini Enterprise cost per user?
Gemini Enterprise Business edition starts at $21 per seat a month for up to 300 seats. Standard and Plus editions start at $30 per seat a month with unlimited seats, sold through Google's sales team. Prices from Google's subscriptions page, October 2026.
What is the difference between Gemini Enterprise Business, Standard and Plus?
Business is self-serve, capped at 300 seats, with 25 GiB of pooled storage per seat. Standard and Plus add higher usage limits, your own and third-party agents, encryption and data-residency controls, up to 75 GiB per seat and unlimited seats.
Is Gemini Enterprise the same as Gemini in Google Workspace?
No. Workspace business plans include Gemini in Gmail and Docs. Gemini Enterprise is a separate per-seat subscription for the Gemini assistant and AI agents across company apps and data, managed with its own licenses in the Admin console.
Is there a free trial of Gemini Enterprise?
Business edition offers a trial from Google's subscriptions page. Standard and Plus are sold through Google's sales team, which is where to ask about trying them first.
Is Gemini Enterprise cheaper than Microsoft 365 Copilot?
At list prices they match: Gemini Enterprise Business and Microsoft 365 Copilot Business both cost $21 per user a month, and the enterprise tiers both start at $30. Copilot needs a Microsoft 365 plan underneath, and Microsoft offers its Business add-on at $18 for the first year on purchases made by 31 December 2026.
How much does Gemini Enterprise cost for 50 users?
At the printed starting prices, 50 seats cost $12,600 a year on Business or from $18,000 a year on Standard or Plus. Those totals are our arithmetic, before tax and before any negotiated discount.
Bottom line
Gemini Enterprise is priced clearly at the bottom and vaguely at the top. Business edition at $21 a seat is a straightforward buy for any team under 300 that wants AI agents across Google, Microsoft and other tools. Above that size, or with strict compliance needs, you are in a sales conversation where the only public anchor is Google's shared Standard and Plus starting price, so ask for Standard and Plus quotes together and compare them against your Workspace or Microsoft 365 bill.
