Fireflies.ai Pricing 2026: Plans, AI Credits and What a Team Pays

Short answer: Fireflies.ai has a Free plan at $0, Pro at $10 per seat a month billed annually ($18 on monthly billing), Business at $19 annually ($29 monthly) and Enterprise at $39 per seat a month, sold on annual billing only. Prices verified on Fireflies' pricing page in October 2026. The seat price is the easy part: what actually limits you is storage and a small pool of AI credits.

Source: fireflies.ai/pricing, read 28 October 2026. The toggle on that page says annual billing saves "up to 44%". Fireflies says it offers volume discounts when you buy for more than 50 members, through its sales team.
How much does Fireflies.ai cost in 2026?
For one person, Fireflies costs nothing on Free, $120 a year on Pro with annual billing, or $216 a year if you pay Pro month to month (our arithmetic: 12 times the printed monthly rate). That gap is the 44% the pricing page advertises, and it checks out: $96 saved on $216 is 44.4%.
Business is where the discount shrinks. At $228 a year per seat on annual billing against $348 on monthly, you save about 34%, not 44%. Only Pro reaches the advertised "up to 44%", so a team budgeting for Business should plan on a smaller saving.
Enterprise has no monthly option. It costs $468 per seat a year (12 times $39) and you buy it through Fireflies' sales team.
A seat is any teammate you add to your Fireflies workspace. You can still share a single meeting recap link with people outside the workspace at no charge, which matters for teams where only a few people run the calls.
What does a team pay? (1, 5, 10 and 20 seats)
Here is the yearly bill for the two self-serve paid plans, on both billing options. All totals are our arithmetic on the per-seat prices printed on Fireflies' pricing page in October 2026.
| Seats | Pro, annual | Pro, monthly billing | Business, annual | Business, monthly billing |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| 1 | $120 | $216 | $228 | $348 |
| 5 | $600 | $1,080 | $1,140 | $1,740 |
| 10 | $1,200 | $2,160 | $2,280 | $3,480 |
| 20 | $2,400 | $4,320 | $4,560 | $6,960 |
Take a 10-person sales team. On Pro billed annually, the team pays $1,200 a year. Moving those 10 seats to Business annual costs $2,280, so the upgrade is worth $1,080 a year only if you need what Business adds: unlimited storage, conversation intelligence and team analytics for the manager.
Monthly billing is the expensive way to stay flexible. The same 10 seats on Business cost $3,480 a year when paid month to month, $1,200 more than the annual price for identical features. If you expect to keep the tool for most of a year, annual billing is the cheaper bet on both plans.
Dupple data: at 10 seats, monthly billing adds $960 a year on Pro and $1,200 on Business compared with annual billing, and the Business upgrade over Pro costs $108 per seat a year on annual terms (our arithmetic on Fireflies' printed prices, October 2026).
What are Fireflies AI credits?
AI credits are the meter behind Fireflies' advanced features. According to Fireflies' AI credits guide, they pay for AI Skills, AI soundbites, custom summary sections, Voice Agents, Sales Assist, the Slack Assistant, CRM autofill, AskFred during a live meeting and the Personal Assistant features (Daily Digest and Meeting Prep). Standard transcription, note-taking and recap emails do not use credits.
Credits have no fixed exchange rate. Fireflies charges them per query and a complex request costs more than a simple one, so you cannot convert a balance into a number of meetings before you use it.
Here is the catch for teams: credits are pooled, not per seat. The guide says the plan allowance is shared across the workspace and does not grow when you add teammates. A 10-person Business team shares 30 credits, which is 3 per person. The guide also describes that allowance as one-time credits that do not expire, while Fireflies' Free plan guide calls the same 20 credits monthly, so the two help pages disagree on whether the balance refills.
Either way, the numbers are thin. Pro carries the same 20 AI credits as Free, and Business adds only 10 more. If your team plans to lean on AI Skills or the Personal Assistant, budget for an add-on from the start.
What extra AI credits cost
Fireflies sells credit packs as a subscription on paid plans only, billed monthly or annually (annual is 20% cheaper). Unused purchased credits do not carry over to the next cycle.
| Credits a month | Monthly price | Annual billing, per month |
|---|---|---|
| 50 | $5 | $4 |
| 200 | $20 | $16 |
| 1,000 | $90 | $72 |
| 2,500 | $200 | $160 |
| 5,000 | $375 | $300 |
| 7,500 | $450 | $360 |
| 10,000 | $600 | $480 |
Source: Fireflies AI credits guide, read 28 October 2026.
For our 10-person team, a 200-credit pack billed annually adds $192 a year (12 times $16), which brings Business annual to $2,472. The 1,000-credit pack adds $864 a year on annual billing.
Is Fireflies.ai free?
Yes, there is a free-forever plan, and the "Unlimited transcription" it advertises has an asterisk. Fireflies' tooltip says it applies to shared bot meetings, the Chrome extension and the mobile app. Its help article on unlimited free transcripts adds the real condition: for accounts created on or after 1 September 2026, you need the Auto-join calendar setting turned on. With Auto-join off, Free stops at 3 meeting transcriptions.
The Free plan's other limits bite sooner than the transcript count:
- Storage: 400 minutes per team on the pricing page. That is under seven hours of meetings before you have to delete old files.
- AI summaries: "limited" on Free. Fireflies' help center says summaries, action items and analytics depend on your credit balance.
- Downloads: downloading transcripts requires a paid plan.
- Recording length: 2 hours per meeting, the same cap as Pro.
Free is a fair trial of how the bot fits your calendar. It is not a way to run a team's meeting notes for long, because the whole team shares those 400 minutes.
Fireflies Pro vs Business: which do I need?
Pro fits a solo professional or a small team that mostly needs searchable transcripts and summaries. It gives each seat 8,000 minutes of storage, which is about 133 hours, unlimited AI summaries, video recording and downloads. Its weaknesses: a 2-hour recording limit and the same 20 AI credits as Free.
Business fits a team with a manager who reviews calls. Unlimited storage removes the cleanup chore, and conversation intelligence plus team analytics give a sales or success lead something to coach from. Teams that want deeper call coaching than that should compare dedicated conversation intelligence software. It also raises the recording limit to 3 hours and adds multi-language mode for teams that run calls in more than one language.
Our rule of thumb for a team lead: if no one will open the analytics, buy Pro and watch storage. A rep with two 45-minute calls a day over 20 working days stores about 30 hours a month, so 8,000 minutes lasts a little over four months before deletions start. If that sounds like constant housekeeping, Business is the cleaner buy.
Enterprise is for regulated or large organizations. Its reasons to exist are SSO and SCIM, HIPAA compliance, private storage, custom data retention, a 4-hour recording limit and 1080p video (Pro and Business record at 720p).
Hidden costs to budget for
These are the charges that do not show up in the per-seat price. Every figure comes from Fireflies' own pricing page or help center, read 28 October 2026.
- The monthly premium. Pro costs $8 more per seat a month on monthly billing and Business $10 more, a gap that grows with every seat you add, as the team table above shows.
- Enterprise is annual only. There is no way to try it month to month.
- AI credit auto-subscription. When a paid plan's credits run out, Fireflies automatically subscribes you to the lowest pack (50 credits for $5 a month). If you already have a pack, it moves you up to the next tier. You can turn auto-upgrade off in billing settings.
- Credits running in the background. Daily Digest and Meeting Prep are on by default and consume credits. An admin has to switch them off in AI Skills settings if you want the pool kept for something else.
- Upload overages. Uploads, imports and dialer calls are capped at 3,000 minutes per source a month for an individual (3,000 times users for teams, up to 150,000). Past that, Fireflies charges $0.01 per minute, according to its storage and rate limits guide. Live bot meetings, the Chrome extension and mobile recordings have no such cap.
- The trial converts. The 7-day free trial runs on the Business plan, needs a card, and bills you for Business unless you cancel before day 7.

Is Fireflies.ai free to use?

What are Fireflies AI credits used for?
They pay for advanced features such as AI Skills, Voice Agents, Sales Assist, CRM autofill, live AskFred questions and the Daily Digest. Plain transcription and standard summaries do not use them. Plans include 20 (Free and Pro), 30 (Business) or 50 (Enterprise) credits, shared by the whole workspace.
How much does Fireflies cost for a team of 10?
On annual billing, 10 seats cost $1,200 a year on Pro or $2,280 on Business. On monthly billing, the same seats cost $2,160 on Pro or $3,480 on Business. Those are our totals from Fireflies' printed per-seat prices, before any AI credit add-on.

Does Fireflies offer a free trial?
Yes, a 7-day trial of the Business plan. It needs a card, and Fireflies charges for Business when the trial ends unless you cancel first.
Do Fireflies AI credits roll over?
Credits you buy as an add-on do not carry over to the next billing cycle. Fireflies' AI credits guide says the credits included with your plan are a one-time balance that does not expire, while its Free plan guide describes them as monthly.
Bottom line
For most teams, Fireflies Pro on annual billing is the sensible starting point at $120 per seat a year, as long as someone keeps an eye on the 8,000-minute storage cap. Move to Business when a manager will use the analytics or when storage cleanup becomes a weekly chore. In both cases, treat the included AI credits as a sample, not an allowance, and add a credit pack to the budget if your team wants the AI Skills.
