10 Best Agentic Commerce Tools in 2026

Trusted by750,000+ Techpresso subscribers·426 AI tools reviewed·Editorial team

Short answer: Shopify's Agentic plan, with no monthly fee and card rates from 2.9% + 30¢, when the sale should happen in ChatGPT, Copilot, or Google AI Mode. Stripe's Agentic Commerce Suite when the catalog should stay on the platform you already run. PayPal Agent Ready when the buyer already pays with PayPal.

Most "AI commerce" pitches are a store builder with a chatbot taped on. The purchase that matters puts a live catalog in front of an agent and still leaves you as merchant of record, so a dispute still lands on you.

Dupple data: Toolradar, our software directory, tracks 102 e-commerce platform tools as of September 2026, and agent checkout is a slice of that e-commerce platforms category, not a catalog of 102 agent products. Every price below was checked on the vendor's own site on September 23, 2026. For a data-heavy ranking of the same question, see Toolradar's guide.

Quick comparison

Tool Best for Starting price Standout
Shopify Selling in AI chats without replatforming No monthly fee on Agentic; cards from 2.9% + 30¢ ChatGPT, Copilot, and Google AI Mode for US buyers
Stripe One ACP endpoint on the stack you have 2.9% + 30¢ domestic cards; suite fee not posted Waitlist, hosted catalog, shared payment tokens
PayPal A wallet the buyer already trusts 3.49% + $0.49 on the fees page; no agentic line Agent Ready and Store Sync by request
BigCommerce A store already on this platform $39/mo on Core Stripe orders skip the open-provider fee
Squarespace A small catalog that should not pay a store fee $19/mo billed yearly on Basic Store transaction fee drops to 0% on Core
Wix A site that needs payments before an agent feed $17/mo billed yearly on Light; payments from Core Core and above can take payment
WooCommerce WordPress, with no platform fee Free core; you pay the host Stripe suite is the agent path
commercetools Order-based pricing, not a cut of GMV Quote only Unlimited catalogs, channels, and storefronts
Salesforce A catalog that already lives in Commerce Cloud Quote, a percent of storefront GMV Merchant Agent on Growth and Advanced
Adobe Commerce Both UCP and ACP on an existing Adobe catalog Custom quote Protocol support, not a self-serve switch

What an agentic commerce tool actually does

An agentic commerce tool lets an AI agent find a product, hold a cart, and take payment, while you remain the merchant of record.

The catalog has to be readable, checkout has to finish in the chat or in an in-app browser, and the order has to land in your admin with the channel named.

The Universal Commerce Protocol, which Shopify co-developed with Google, is the cart contract for Copilot and Google AI Mode. The Agentic Commerce Protocol, which Stripe co-developed with OpenAI, covers ChatGPT and shared payment tokens that never hand the agent a raw card number.

If the brand never gets retrieved, the protocol does not matter yet. Why a brand does not show up in AI search and what answer engine optimization is are the discovery half, and this page is the transaction half. A normal gateway comparison still lives in best payment gateways.

How we chose

I ranked 10 products a merchant can buy or request so an AI agent can see a catalog and take the order. Toolradar's e-commerce platforms category lists 102 tools as of September 2026, the closest directory count, not 102 agentic products. Prices come from vendor sites on September 23, 2026. I did not place a live order in each checkout, and no vendor paid for a slot.

1

Shopify, the channel that is already a sales channel

Shopify is the default when US buyers should discover the product inside ChatGPT, Copilot, or Google AI Mode, and another platform can keep running the site. The Shopify AI stack does not replace this channel.

Pricing

The pricing page lists an Agentic plan with no monthly fee, card rates from 2.9% + 30¢ online, and payment only when a product sells through Shopify Checkout, so quiet months cost nothing.

Yearly cards show Basic at $29 a month, Grow at $79 a month, and Advanced at $299 a month. Basic on a monthly term is $39, with a 2% fee when a third-party processor replaces Shopify Payments, so your own processor makes that plan expensive. A 3-day trial is followed by $1 a month for 3 months on the store plans.

The catch: Purchasing is limited to US buyers, and ChatGPT opens your store in an in-app browser, so that path uses the processor you already have, while Copilot can use embedded checkout. Google AI Mode and the Gemini app are select US shops.

Verdict

Buy the Agentic plan when the store should stay where it is, and Basic or Grow when you also want the storefront.

2

Stripe, the suite for a stack you will not move

Stripe sells the Agentic Commerce Suite as one hosted ACP endpoint, checkout, fraud checks, and shared payment tokens, for a catalog that should stay outside Shopify.

Pricing

The suite announcement (December 11, 2025) posts no separate suite fee and points merchants to a waitlist. Stripe's pricing page lists the domestic card rate from the table per successful charge, so the suite is not a second subscription. Radar is included at no extra charge on standard pricing.

Stripe says a custom ACP build can take up to six months for every new AI agent. The same suite is the path named for Wix, WooCommerce, BigCommerce, Squarespace, and commercetools.

The catch: You cannot turn it on from a public price card today. You stay merchant of record, so tax, refunds, and disputes stay on your team. A shared payment token is scoped to a seller, a time, and an amount.

Verdict

The right plumbing when the platform should not change, after you are off the waitlist.

3

PayPal, when the wallet is the product

PayPal splits the job into Agent Ready, which takes the payment on your current setup, and Store Sync, which writes the order into the system you already use, though it is a weak catalog system of record.

Pricing

The developer overview, updated June 10, 2026, says access starts with a form to PayPal's AI team. Partners named there include Wix, Cymbio, BigCommerce, and Shopware. The US business fees page shows 3.49% + $0.49, a 4.99% rate with the same 49¢ fee beside Pay Later copy, and card rates of 2.99% plus that 49¢ fee and 2.89% + $0.29. It does not publish an Agent Ready surcharge, and Checkout costs more than Expanded Checkout because PayPal handles unauthorized transactions on Checkout.

The catch: Nothing on that fees page prices the agent product. Store Sync keeps the customer relationship with you, and it does not replace a storefront subscription.

Verdict

Add it when PayPal is already how people pay. Do not pick it to avoid a Shopify or Stripe decision.

4

BigCommerce, the store plan with a fee you can dodge

BigCommerce is the published store subscription among the platforms Stripe named for the suite. The agent feed is that suite, not a reason to replatform onto the same waitlist.

Pricing

The pricing page and the June 1, 2026 plan note list Core at $39 a month or $29 a month billed annually, up to $30,000 in trailing-twelve-month GMV. Growth is $105 a month or $79 a month annually, up to $100,000. Scale is $399 a month or $299 a month annually, with a $33,333 monthly GMV cap and a 0.9% overage above it, and Performance starts at $1,499 a month, billed annually.

Card processing begins at 2.89% + $0.29, the trial is 15 days, and GMV is gross order value after a 10% reduction, so the cap uses a smaller base than raw sales.

The catch: Self-serve plans add an open-provider fee of 2.0% of eligible GMV on Core, 1.0% on Growth, and 0.6% on Scale. Stripe and PayPal are embedded, so those orders skip the fee. BigCommerce bills the fee to you and says it must not be passed to the shopper.

Verdict

Stay, and route cards through an embedded provider, if the catalog is already here.

5

Squarespace, leave Basic if the store is the business

Squarespace Commerce is the small-catalog pick. Stripe's suite post includes Squarespace, and that suite is still a waitlist, not a line on the price card. Basic allows products and still behaves like a website plan.

Pricing

The pricing page lists Basic at $25 a month or $19 a month billed yearly. Core's monthly price matches Shopify Basic's monthly price, and yearly Core matches the yearly Basic rate. Plus is $65 a month or $49 a month yearly, and Advanced is $139 a month or $99 a month yearly.

Standard cards on Basic and Core start at $0.30 plus the percentage the table lists for Shopify. The online store transaction fee is 2% on Basic and 0% from Core up. The trial is 14 days, there is no free plan, and Commerce APIs start on Core.

The catch: A Basic store pays that store fee on top of card rates, and agent distribution still sits on Stripe's waitlist.

Verdict

Core, not Basic, if this is the store. Not the first buy for a brand that only needs the AI channel.

6

Wix, payments before the agent feed

Wix eCommerce is on the same Stripe rollout list. What you can buy today is the website plan, the free site cannot take a payment, and Enterprise is a separate quote.

Pricing

Wix's plan guide lists yearly rates of Light at $17 a month, Core at $29 a month, Business at Shopify Basic's monthly rate, billed yearly, and Business Elite at $159 a month. Light does not accept payments, and Core is the first plan that does.

The catch: The free plan is not a store, and the agent path is the Stripe suite, which is not a Wix line item.

Verdict

Core or Business if the site is already Wix. A new brand that only wants AI checkout should start with Shopify's Agentic plan.

7

WooCommerce, a free platform and a paid host

WooCommerce has no platform fee and no revenue share, which suits a team that will own the server. Stripe names it as a suite platform, so the agent catalog is that waitlist, and someone has to own hosting and updates.

Pricing

The pricing page says the core platform is free. Hosting for most stores is $25 to $350 a month. Extensions are a separate yearly invoice for each add-on. Woo says you pay the processor you choose and nothing extra for using a third-party gateway.

The catch: The $0 platform fee is not a $0 stack. A slow host or a pile of extensions can pass a hosted plan, and the agent endpoint is still Stripe's suite.

Verdict

Right when WordPress is non-negotiable and someone will own the server.

8

commercetools, a quote priced on orders

commercetools sells composable commerce with order-based pricing, which the company contrasts with a cut of GMV. Stripe lists it among suite platforms.

Pricing

The pricing page publishes no dollar amount. It promises unlimited catalogs, channels, and storefronts, and checkout is an add-on rather than the base package. Google Cloud Marketplace and AWS Marketplace are buying routes, and the agent feed is the same Stripe waitlist.

The catch: "Predictable" on that page is not a number you can put in a budget, and there is no self-serve ChatGPT switch on the price card.

Verdict

The composable option when a GMV percentage is the deal-breaker, after sales sends a figure.

9

Salesforce, the CRM you already pay for

Salesforce Agentforce Commerce is the pick when the catalog and order management are already in this stack. On October 14, 2025 Salesforce announced a build, with Stripe and OpenAI, of Instant Checkout on ACP.

Who it's for: Brands that will not leave Commerce Cloud to reach an assistant, and anyone who needs a price this afternoon should not start here.

Pricing

The B2B pricing page says contact for pricing and charges a percentage of storefront GMV, merchandise revenue minus tax and shipping. Growth includes 6 storefronts, a Merchant Agent, and 250,000 Data Cloud credits, and Advanced includes 10 storefronts and 500,000 credits. Premier Success is 30% of net license fees. Orders outside the storefront that use Order Management are priced separately. The press release describes ChatGPT checkout as a build, not a posted add-on.

The catch: Guided shopping on your own site is not checkout inside ChatGPT, and off-storefront orders are a second contract.

Verdict

Stay if Salesforce is already the system of record. Do not migrate for an integration that still has no public price.

10

Adobe Commerce, a protocol commitment and a custom quote

Adobe Commerce is the last slot, for catalogs that already run on it and can wait on a sales cycle.

Pricing

Adobe's commerce pricing page offers customized pricing for Commerce as a Cloud Service, Commerce on Cloud, and Optimizer, with no list price. The commerce blog commits the product to UCP and ACP, describes machine-readable catalogs for Gemini and ChatGPT as work underway, and treats in-agent checkout as the intent of that work.

The catch: A standards commitment is not a sales channel you can enable this week, and Optimizer still needs a transaction engine underneath it.

Verdict

Relevant when Adobe Commerce is already the catalog. Irrelevant when you need US checkout in Copilot this month.

What a real month costs

Shopify's Agentic plan has no monthly fee, then the card rate from that row when Shopify Checkout runs the sale. A full store adds the yearly or monthly Basic term, plus the $1 introductory months after the trial.

BigCommerce Core moves to Growth at $105 a month after the trailing volume on that plan, and an open provider adds the Core percentage from the catch. commercetools, Salesforce, and Adobe publish no monthly price, and Salesforce Premier Success is 30% of net license fees on top of the GMV deal.

How to choose for the job in front of you

Match the missing piece, then the invoice. If US buyers and a live channel matter this month, Shopify Agentic Storefronts is the buy, and the e-commerce CRM question can wait. If the catalog cannot move, ask Stripe for the suite and treat PayPal as the wallet, not the catalog. If the store is already BigCommerce, Squarespace, Wix, or WooCommerce, do not replatform for a feed those vendors reach through the same Stripe waitlist.

After the order exists, you still need a page an assistant can cite: showing up in ChatGPT answers, the traffic loss in zero-click search, and website builders for a small business if you do not have a storefront yet.

Common mistakes when buying these tools

  1. Treating Shopify's Agentic plan as a full store: there is no monthly fee, ChatGPT still opens your site in an in-app browser, and Google AI Mode is not every shop.

  2. Budgeting a Stripe suite subscription: the announcement posts no suite price on top of the domestic card rate in the table, and the dashboard control is a waitlist.

  3. Assuming PayPal Agent Ready is self-serve: access is a form to the AI team, and the fees page never names Agent Ready, so those card rates are ordinary checkout prices.

  4. Ignoring BigCommerce's open-provider fee: Stripe orders are exempt, an open provider on Core costs 2.0% of that GMV, you cannot surcharge the shopper, and Core auto-upgrades after $30,000 in trailing GMV.

  5. Selling on Squarespace Basic: the yearly price is $19 a month and the store fee is 2%, then that fee hits 0% on Core, which is also where Commerce APIs start.

  6. Counting Wix's free site as a store: payments start on Core, and Business Elite at $159 a month is a volume plan, not an agent add-on.

  7. Reading Salesforce's 2025 checkout announcement as a price: Growth and Advanced still say contact for pricing, and Premier Success is 30% of net license fees. Adobe's protocol note is the same shape: a commitment, then a custom quote.

FAQ

What are the best agentic commerce tools in 2026?

Shopify's Agentic plan, with no monthly fee, when US buyers should check out from ChatGPT, Copilot, or Google AI Mode. Stripe's suite when the catalog stays put and you can join a waitlist. PayPal Agent Ready when the wallet is already PayPal. BigCommerce, Squarespace, Wix, and WooCommerce when the store already lives there. commercetools, Salesforce, and Adobe Commerce are quote-only. Toolradar's e-commerce platforms category lists store platforms, not agent products.

How much do agentic commerce tools cost in 2026?

On September 23, 2026, Shopify's Agentic plan had no monthly fee. Store plans showed Basic at $29 a month on yearly billing and $39 on a monthly term, Grow at $79 a month on the yearly card, and Advanced at $299 a month on that same card. Stripe posted no suite fee on top of the domestic card rate in the table. PayPal published no agentic surcharge on top of the checkout-style rate in the comparison. BigCommerce Performance started at $1,499 a month billed annually. Salesforce and Adobe publish no package price.

Is there a free agentic commerce tool in 2026?

Shopify's Agentic plan has no monthly subscription, and you still pay card rates on a Shopify Checkout sale. WooCommerce's core is free, and hosting for most stores is $25 to $350 a month. Wix blocks payments on the free site. Squarespace's trial is 14 days, with no free plan. Stripe and PayPal agent access are requests, not free tiers. BigCommerce's trial is 15 days.

Should I buy Shopify's Agentic plan or a full Shopify store?

Buy the Agentic plan when another platform already runs the site and you want the catalog in AI channels at no monthly fee. Buy Basic when you also need the online store and Shopify Payments. The $1 a month for 3 months follows a 3-day trial on the store plans, and it is not the Agentic plan's permanent price. ChatGPT on Shopify still completes on your store in an in-app browser.

How do Stripe and PayPal compare for agent checkout?

Stripe's suite is a hosted ACP endpoint and shared payment tokens at the domestic card rate in the table, behind a waitlist, with no separate suite price. PayPal Agent Ready and Store Sync start with a request to the AI team, and the fees page has no agentic line on top of the 3.49% checkout-style rate. Pick Stripe when the catalog feed is missing, and pick PayPal when buyers already pay with that wallet.

Does BigCommerce charge extra if I use Stripe?

No. Stripe is on the embedded provider list, so those orders skip the 2.0% Core fee, the 1.0% Growth fee, and the 0.6% Scale fee. You still pay Stripe's processing and the BigCommerce subscription until trailing GMV passes $30,000. An open provider is where the percentage appears, and BigCommerce says that fee must not be added at checkout.

What is the difference between UCP and ACP?

UCP is the cart and checkout contract Shopify co-developed with Google, used for embedded checkout on Copilot and Google AI Mode. ACP is the Stripe and OpenAI contract behind the Agentic Commerce Suite and the Instant Checkout build Salesforce announced with Stripe. Adobe's commerce blog says it is committed to both. They are not two names for one invoice.

Bottom line

Start with Shopify's Agentic plan when US buyers and a live channel are the job, Stripe's suite when the stack should stay and you can wait, and PayPal when the wallet is already decided. Keep BigCommerce, Squarespace, Wix, or WooCommerce if that is where the catalog already lives, and leave commercetools, Salesforce, and Adobe Commerce until a quote is worth the sales cycle.
