Best Local SEO Tools in 2026: What One Location Costs on Each

Trusted by780,000+ Techpresso subscribers·Editorial policy·How we make money

For one location that wants listings, a Google Maps rank grid and review requests, Moz Local Preferred is the cheapest of the six tools that cover all three jobs: $30 a month billed monthly, or $299 billed yearly, read on 20 Oct 2026. Localo Single Business follows at $468 a year billed monthly, with lighter listings and review coverage. Google Business Profile itself is free to create.

Dupple data: 9 of the 10 local SEO vendors whose pricing we read on 20 Oct 2026 print a price that a single-location business can pay without a sales call; Yext's current site prints none. Across the six options that cover all three jobs, the yearly bill runs from $360 to $1,536 billed monthly, a $1,176 gap for the same work.

Best Local SEO Tools in 2026: What One Location Costs on Each. Last updated October 2026.
Tool Plan priced Jobs covered 12 months, billed monthly 12 months, billed annually Hidden costs
Moz Local Preferred All three $360 $299 Listings AI and Reviews AI are paid add-ons; no Local Grid limits printed
Localo Single Business Listings tracked, grid, QR review poster $468 $389 One profile only; the page's static copy disagrees with its checkout
Synup Solo All three $588 $468 A second location moves the account to the Premium plan
Semrush Local Pro All three $720 $720 Same rate in both views; extra users $20 a month; no trial button
BrightLocal Grow All three $780 $584 Citations are bought apart, from $3.20 each ($2 in bulk)
Whitespark Citation Finder, Ranking Grids and Reputation Builder All three, as three products $1,536 $1,464 Annual billing only on the citation tool, whose $33 is rounded
GatherUp Small Business plus Listings Hub Listings and review requests, no grid $1,968 $1,668 The $99 is the annual rate; Listings Hub is $40 per location a month
Local Falcon Starter Rank grid only $299.88 $299.88 Monthly credits expire each cycle; extra credits cost $0.05 each
NiceJob Starter Review requests only $900 Monthly only No listings or rank tracking; Pro is $125 a month
Yext None on its current site Listings No price No price Sold through demos

The scenario is one location, such as a dental practice, a plumber or a restaurant, over 12 months at list price with no coupon. Billed monthly is 12 times the monthly price; billed annually is the yearly price as printed, or 12 times the per-month price shown for annual billing where no yearly total is printed. Rows run from the most jobs covered to the fewest and, inside a group, from the lowest to the highest bill billed monthly, with Yext last as it prints no price.

What is a local SEO tool?

A local SEO tool keeps a business's name, address and hours consistent across directories, shows where it ranks on Google Maps around its address, and asks customers for reviews by link, text or email.

Methodology: how we priced one location

This page compares vendor pricing pages and plan tables read on 20 October 2026, and we did not test any product or claim that one lifts rankings. A plan counts as covering a job only if its own pricing page lists it for that plan.

Prices are US dollars; Localo and Semrush set theirs by visitor country with a script, so the figures here are the ones a US visitor gets. Single-job tools are priced alone; Whitespark's is the only sum, as it sells each job separately.

1

Moz Local Preferred: the lowest total of the six that cover all three jobs

Moz Local's pricing page sells one subscription per physical location in three tiers: Lite at $20 a month billed monthly or $199 billed yearly, Preferred at $30 or $299, and Elite at $40 or $399. Lite lists directory management, Local Grid and review monitoring, but review generation, the feature that requests reviews, starts at Preferred. Preferred also adds review responding and social posting to Google and Facebook; for more networks, see our guide to social media management tools.

The catch: the page prints no limits for Local Grid, it supports listings in the US, UK and Canada only, and Listings AI is $14 a month extra and Reviews AI $10. Verdict: Pick it for one location that wants all three jobs at the lowest bill among the six that cover them.

2

Localo Single Business: all three jobs in a lighter form

Localo's pricing page sells Single Business for one Google Business Profile at $39 a month billed monthly, or $389 billed yearly, which is $32.42 a month. The page's static copy still prints $49 and $39, but the checkout price service returns the two figures above to a US visitor, so those are priced here. The plan ticks a position map, keyword tracking, a reviews inbox with reply templates, a QR-code review poster and a citations manager that shows where the business is listed.

The catch: listings are tracked and suggested rather than pushed to directories, and review requests are a poster, not texts or emails. A second profile needs Pro, which is not priced here. Verdict: Pick it for one Maps profile whose owner will put the QR poster at the counter.

3

Synup Solo: every feature on one location, then a step up

Synup's pricing page says every plan includes every feature, among them listings distribution, review generation campaigns and a Local Rank Grid, and it prices by location count. Solo, for 1 location, is $49 a month billed monthly or $39 a month billed annually, with 20,000 monthly credits and a 14-day trial. Premium, up to 10 locations, is $299 monthly or $239 annually; Pro, up to 25, is $499 or $399; Scale, up to 50, is $899 or $719.

The catch: a second location lifts the bill by $250 a month, to Premium, and credits meter the agent's work and keyword rankings, with no price for extra blocks. Verdict: Pick it for exactly one location that wants every feature without choosing a tier.

4

Semrush Local Pro: a flat rate per location

Semrush's Local pricing is a separate toolkit from its main SEO plans, which our guide to AI SEO tools covers with its AI visibility feature. Base is $30 per location per month, with Google Business Profile management, review auto-replies and 375 Map Rank Tracker credits. Pro is $60 per location per month and adds Listing Management, review management and generation, and 1,225 credits; Semrush's local SEO page says generation sends post-service SMS and email requests. The page shows the same rates in its monthly and annual views, and Business is quote-only.

The catch: the page does not say how many credits a scan uses, and the Local cards offer Subscribe rather than a trial. Verdict: Pick it for per-location pricing that stays flat as sites are added; Base lacks listings and review requests, so one location needs Pro.

5

BrightLocal Grow: review requests sit on the top tier

BrightLocal's pricing page prices by the number of locations managed. For 1 location, Track is $41 a month billed monthly or $369 billed annually, Manage $54 or $485, and Grow $65 or $584. Track includes a Local Search Grid for up to five keywords and a citation tracker, Manage adds Active Sync for listings and Google post scheduling, and Grow adds review monitoring and review requests by email, SMS and in-store campaigns. Each plan has a 14-day trial with no card.

The catch: the Citation Builder is pay-as-you-go, from $3.20 per site or $2 with bulk credits. Verdict: Pick Grow when more locations are coming, because its band for 2 to 5 locations adds $22 a month to the single-location price.

6

Whitespark: three products for three jobs

Whitespark's pricing page rejects bundles, so each job is its own product. Local Citation Finder's Small Business plan is $39 a month billed monthly, or $33 a month billed annually (the page's $78 saving implies $390, so $33 is rounded), with a free starter of 1 campaign and 3 searches a day. Local Ranking Grids start at $10 a month for 2,000 credits, 25 credits per 5x5 grid. Reputation Builder is $79 per location per month, with 3,000 email requests and 300 SMS credits. Together they come to $128 a month.

The catch: Citation Finder finds and tracks citations but does not submit them, which the one-time Listings Service does, from $20 per location. Verdict: Buy the piece you need, not the stack, since the grid and the review tool each work alone.

7

GatherUp: reviews first, listings as an add-on

GatherUp's pricing page opens on its annual view, where Small Business for 1 location is $99 a month; billed monthly it is $124. Multi-location is $60 per location per month billed annually for 2 to 10 locations, or $75 monthly. Every plan includes up to 300 SMS and 3,000 email credits per location per month and Net Promoter Score surveys; for survey-first tools, our guide to customer feedback tools compares eight. Listings Hub, covering 125 directories, adds $40 per location per month.

The catch: the pricing page lists no rank grid, so this row covers two of three jobs. Verdict: Pick it when reviews are the main job and listings the second.

8

Local Falcon Starter: the rank grid alone

Local Falcon's pricing page sells credits, one per map pin in a scan, so a 5x5 grid costs 25 credits. Starter is $24.99 a month billed monthly for 7,500 credits, or $299.88 billed annually for 90,000 credits. Basic is $49.99 or $599.88, Pro $99.99 or $1,199.88, and Premium $199.99 or $2,399.88. Keywords and locations are unlimited, and extra credits cost $0.05.

The catch: it prices the grid only, automated review response starts at Basic, and unused monthly credits expire each cycle. Verdict: Pick it when the grid is the only job, since 7,500 credits run 300 scans of a 5x5 grid a month.

9

NiceJob Starter: review requests only

NiceJob's pricing page lists Starter at $75 a month and Pro at $125, with no contract and a 14-day free trial. Starter includes SMS and email review requests with follow-ups, review widgets, social sharing, a team leaderboard and a reviews microsite. Pro adds rebooking reminders, referrals, email broadcasts, AI replies, thank-you gifts, NPS surveys and competitor tracking.

The catch: it has no listings and no rank tracking, and a field-service CRM may already send review requests, as our guide to CRMs for service businesses notes for Housecall Pro. Verdict: Pick it when reviews are the only gap and texts should go out automatically after each job.

10

Yext: no price on its current site

Yext calls itself an enterprise agentic marketing platform, and its home page offers Contact sales and Get a demo, not a price. An older one-location listings page, with a 2018 copyright line and a block in Yext's robots.txt, still shows annual packages of $199, $449, $499 and $999, so it is history rather than a quote.

The catch: nothing current can be priced, so the row sits last with no total. Verdict: Ask for a quote only if you manage many locations; for one, the nine priced tools suffice.

Where the order changes

  • At 3 locations. BrightLocal Grow's band for 2 to 5 locations is $87 a month billed monthly, against $90 for three Moz Local Preferred subscriptions, so BrightLocal is cheaper than Moz from the third location; billed annually it is $782 against $897.
  • At 5 and 10 locations. Five Moz subscriptions are $150 a month and five Semrush Pro locations $300, against BrightLocal's $87. At ten locations BrightLocal's band is $131, against $300 for ten Moz subscriptions and $600 for ten Semrush locations.
  • Billed annually. BrightLocal moves ahead of Semrush; nothing else in the first group changes places.
  • Rank grid only. Whitespark's $10 buys 80 scans of a 5x5 grid a month and Local Falcon's $24.99 buys 300, so the cheaper plan depends on how often you scan.

How to choose

For one location and the lowest bill across all three jobs, pick Moz Local Preferred. If you would ask for reviews by hand, Moz Local Lite at $199 billed yearly covers listings and the grid, and Google's help page says you can ask customers to visit a Google link or scan a QR code. Choose BrightLocal when you will add sites, Localo for one owner-run Maps profile, Synup for every feature on one plan, and Whitespark, Local Falcon or NiceJob when one job needs depth and the others are handled elsewhere.

Common mistakes

Pricing the tier below review requests. BrightLocal Track is $492 a year billed monthly but leaves them out, and Grow costs $288 more. Moz Local Lite is $120 a year below Preferred, billed monthly, and lacks them too.

Reading an annual rate as monthly. GatherUp's $99 is billed annually; billed monthly it is $124, which is $300 more over a year.

Stacking three tools for three jobs. Whitespark's products total $1,176 a year more than Moz Local Preferred, which lists all three.

Gaming reviews. Google's rules for merchants bar incentives for a review and any attempt to "selectively solicit positive reviews from customers", so check each request flow against them.

FAQ
