What is Expertise AI?
AI sales agent that replaces traditional chatbots for HubSpot businesses
Expertise AI is aimed at sales teams that want to spend less time on admin work and more time actually closing deals. It handles the repetitive parts of the sales process so your reps can focus on conversations that move the needle.
How We Evaluated Expertise AI
We scored Expertise AI on five things: pipeline management, lead scoring, outreach automation, CRM integration, and forecasting accuracy. Same rubric we use for every sales tool in the directory, so the scores are comparable.
That meant using the product, testing the features that matter most for sales work, reading the docs, and checking whether pricing is upfront or hidden behind a sales call. We also compared it against lemlist and Instantly to see where it stands.
Key Features
What Expertise AI actually gives you:
- AI-Powered Intelligence: Uses AI to surface insights and automate decisions
- Lead Management: Capture, score, and route leads efficiently
- Outreach Automation: Automate follow-ups and outreach sequences
- Deal Tracking: Monitor deals from first touch to close
Pricing
Expertise AI doesn't list pricing publicly on their website, so you'll need to reach out to their sales team for a quote. That's fairly common for tools aimed at larger teams, but it does make it harder to evaluate quickly.
To give you a rough sense of the market, comparable sales tools like lemlist and Instantly charge in the range of custom pricing to custom pricing/mo, which should help you calibrate expectations.
Pros and Cons
What we like
- This is a tool built specifically for sales, which means the features are tailored to real use cases in this space rather than being generic functionality that sort of applies
- The pipeline view keeps your reps focused on moving deals forward instead of spending half their day navigating the tool itself, which is a trap a lot of CRMs fall into
- It focuses on doing one thing well rather than trying to be a Swiss Army knife, which usually means the core features get more development attention and polish than they would in an all-in-one platform
What could be better
- Pricing isn't listed publicly, so you'll have to sit through a sales call just to find out if it's in your budget. That alone is a friction point for smaller teams
- The tool only works if your reps actually log their activity consistently, and adoption is often the hardest part of rolling out any sales tool
- Larger organizations with complex requirements may find that some of the advanced features they expect from enterprise software are missing or underdeveloped

Who It's For (and Who It's Not)
Good fit: Expertise AI makes the most sense for sales teams and SDRs who spend most of their day inside their pipeline and need fast access to deal data, follow-up reminders, and lead context without switching between five different tabs. If that sounds like your situation, it's worth at least testing it out.
Skip it if: you close a handful of deals a month through personal relationships and word of mouth. At that volume, a well-maintained spreadsheet genuinely works fine. In that case, you might want to look at lemlist as a lighter-weight option.
Bottom Line
We gave Expertise AI 3.2/5. Does its core job well. Worth the investment if sales is central to your daily work. If you only need it occasionally, look at a simpler option.
In short: Expertise AI is a strong choice for sales teams and SDRs who spend most of their day inside their pipeline and need fast access to deal data. you close a handful of deals a month through personal relationships and word of mouth.
Try Expertise AIHow Expertise AI works
Expertise AI (expertise.ai) is a go-to-market automation platform built around installable skills, which are pre-built AI workflows that run sales and revenue-ops tasks on the stack you already have. The marketplace ships plays like Diagnose CRM, Weekly Pipeline Digest, Renewal Risk Monitoring, Website Visitor Funnel Classifier and Routing, Find ICP, New Target Account Research, Account Wedge Finder, and After-Hours Global Prospecting and Outreach. Alongside the skills product, the company sells an AI Agent for websites: a demand-conversion chat and voice agent that engages visitors, qualifies them, and routes or books meetings with reps. A third and cheaper tier, Expertise Assistant, is a credit-metered personal workflow assistant, and there is a standalone booking product as well.
The setup order is straightforward. You connect your data sources first: the vendor site lists 100+ tools including HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Gmail, Slack, Zoom, Apollo, Clay, Outreach, Salesloft, Marketo, Intercom and Gong. Then you browse the marketplace, preview a skill to see what it does, and install it in one click with no code. The docs describe the Skills dashboard as five buckets: All (toggle a skill on or off, or run it now), Created by Me (schedule, share, publish), Shared with Me, Marketplace, and Built in, the last being the document, spreadsheet, PDF, presentation and web-research primitives that every skill uses underneath.
Custom plays are authored by clicking Teach skill and describing the goal in plain language; Expertise walks you through the setup and saves the result. Skills are then shared across the team with inherited connections and settings, so individual reps are not rebuilding the same thing. The AI Agent is configured separately: you upload training materials (the volume is capped by plan) and wire up HubSpot live-chat handoff, 2-way sync, playbooks and webhooks. There is also a Salesforce AppExchange listing for the website AI Agent.
Where Expertise AI wins
- The adoption path is genuinely low friction. You can preview a marketplace skill before installing it, install in one click, and every plan family has a $0 tier: a Free Preview agent, a Free Assistant with 200 credits per day, and a free booking plan.
- The connector list is broad for a young product. HubSpot, Salesforce, Pipedrive, Gmail, Slack, Zoom, Apollo, Clay, Outreach, Salesloft, Marketo, Intercom and Gong are all named on the vendor site.
- Skills are a team object, not a per-rep hack. Build one once and share it with inherited connections and unified settings, with dashboards tracking skill usage and conversion.
- Natural-language authoring keeps custom work in-house. The Teach skill flow plus the built-in document, spreadsheet, PDF and web-research primitives mean a custom play does not require an integration engineer.
- The compliance posture is published, not implied. SOC 2 Type II, GDPR and CCPA, end-to-end encryption, with dedicated hosting and custom data retention available on Enterprise.
Where it falls short
- AI Agent pricing is steep and stair-steps hard. Growth is $500 per month and covers HubSpot only, Business is $1,250 per month, and Enterprise is custom. Salesforce, SSO, Marketo, LeanData and API access are all gated behind Enterprise.
- The free agent tier is a preview, not a usable free plan. One agent, 10 conversations and 50 training materials is enough to demo and not much more.
- There is a deep HubSpot bias. Proactive live chat, 2-way sync and playbooks are all described as HubSpot features, and Salesforce parity only appears at the Enterprise level.
- Public documentation is thin on the mechanics that matter. The Skills docs do not state trigger or scheduling specifics, connection requirements, credit consumption per run, or which models are used. You have to install something to find out.
- Marketplace depth is modest right now. Twelve skills are visible on the marketplace page against a headline claim of 100+ GTM skills.
Who should use Expertise AI
The clean fit is a HubSpot-centric B2B sales or RevOps team that wants packaged prospecting, pipeline-hygiene and inbound-conversion plays running without first building them in Clay or n8n. If your CRM is HubSpot, your bottleneck is that nobody has time to wire workflows together, and you can absorb the agent pricing, the one-click install path and the free tiers make it cheap to find out whether the skills produce anything useful.
Skip it in three cases. If Salesforce is your system of record and you are on a mid-market budget, parity is Enterprise-only and the economics stop working. If you need documented trigger, connection and credit mechanics before you buy, the current docs will not answer those questions. And if you already employ a GTM engineer maintaining custom workflows, you are paying for packaging you have effectively already built.
