How Much Does Photoshop Cost in 2026? Every Plan Compared
Short answer: for one designer who needs desktop Photoshop for a year, the Photography plan is the cheapest Adobe option at $19.99 a month, or $239.88 a year billed monthly. It includes Lightroom and 1TB of storage. Photoshop alone costs $22.99 a month. All prices are Adobe's US list prices, read on 10 October 2026.
The monthly prices on Adobe's Photoshop page are annual plans paid in monthly installments, and the page lists no month-to-month option. This guide covers the individual plans, the team plans and the promotion on Creative Cloud Pro. For prices, it uses only Adobe's own pages, because third-party price guides quote conflicting figures for the same plans.
Toolradar data: On G2, Photoshop averages 4.6 out of 5 from 13,416 reviews, according to Toolradar's Photoshop page, checked 17 September 2026. Users rate the app highly, so the real decision is which plan to pay for.

| Photoshop (individuals) | $22.99 | Photoshop on desktop, web and mobile, plus Adobe Express Premium | 100GB |

| Creative Cloud Pro for teams | $99.99 per license | Photoshop, Lightroom, Express Premium and 20+ apps, plus business features | 1TB |
All individual plans are billed annually in monthly payments. These are Adobe's US list prices, read on 10 October 2026.
The Photography plan is the one to check first. It costs $3 a month less than Photoshop alone, and it adds Lightroom and ten times the storage. For a wider view of photo tools, our best AI for photos guide covers the category. Firefly Pro costs the same as Photography, but it drops the desktop app. That makes it a web and phone plan, not a replacement for the program on your computer.
What the price covers
Every individual plan except Firefly Pro includes the app on desktop, web and mobile. What separates them is storage, the other apps in the bundle and the generative credits. Photoshop alone includes Adobe Express Premium and 100GB of cloud storage. The Photography plan lists Lightroom and 1TB instead, and its entry on Adobe's page does not mention Express Premium. The extra storage matters if your photo library already runs past 100GB.
Creative Cloud Pro adds more than twenty desktop and mobile apps and Firefly credits, for the same 100GB as Photoshop alone. Paying for apps you never open is the expensive way to use this plan.
The team plans add business features and 1TB of storage, and they are priced per license, so the total grows with every seat.
How the plans compare on what you use
Each row names the plan that wins that single dimension, or the plans that tie for it. No single plan wins everything, which is why the choice depends on the work. If you are also comparing tools outside Adobe, our best AI photo editors guide sets the alternatives side by side.
| What you need | Winner | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Lowest monthly price with desktop Photoshop | Photography | $3 a month below Photoshop alone |
| Most storage for the price | Photography | 1TB against 100GB, at a lower monthly price |
| Generative credits, web and phone only | Firefly Pro | 4,000 credits at the Photography price, and no desktop app |
| Widest set of apps | Creative Cloud Pro | Photoshop plus 20+ desktop and mobile apps |
| Team features | Photoshop for teams or Creative Cloud Pro for teams | Business features on both, priced per license |
One year, one designer
We picked one scenario and kept it for every row: one designer, one seat, desktop Photoshop, twelve months, in US dollars. The table sorts the options by what they cost over that year.
| Option | Year cost | How it is calculated |
|---|---|---|
| Photography, billed monthly | $239.88 | $19.99 x 12 |
| Photoshop alone, prepaid annual | $263.88 | Adobe's annual figure, paid upfront |
| Photoshop alone, billed monthly | $275.88 | $22.99 x 12 |
| Creative Cloud Pro, year one with the offer | $734.88 | 3 x $34.99 + 9 x $69.99 |
| Creative Cloud Pro, regular price | $839.88 | $69.99 x 12 |
Two gaps stand out. Photoshop alone, billed monthly, costs $36 more a year than the Photography plan, and it gives you less storage and no Lightroom. Creative Cloud Pro costs $564 a year more than Photoshop alone at the regular price. That gap only pays off if you use the other apps in the bundle every week.
Billing monthly or prepaid
The billing choice matters less than the plan choice, but it still changes the bill. Photoshop alone costs $263.88 a year prepaid, against $275.88 billed monthly. That is $12 less, or about 4% of the monthly total. Prepaying means paying the full amount on day one, so it suits a buyer who already knows they will keep Photoshop for all twelve months.
What changes at renewal
Creative Cloud Pro is the only plan on Adobe's Photoshop page with a visible price change. Adobe lists it at $34.99 a month for the first three months, under the label "Save 50% for the first 3 months" for new subscribers, and then at $69.99 a month. The price doubles at month four.
Year one costs $734.88 with the offer and $839.88 at the regular price, so the offer saves $105 in total. From month four, the bill runs $35 a month above the offer rate.
Photoshop alone and the Photography plan show no introductory price on Adobe's page. Their list price is what you pay from the first month. The page does not state what either plan will cost after the first year, so keep the list price in your budget and check your account before each renewal.
Monthly or yearly commitment
Every plan on Adobe's Photoshop page carries the label "Annual, billed monthly". That label describes a yearly plan paid in monthly installments, and the page lists no month-to-month option. The yearly term means you should check Adobe's cancellation terms in your account before you subscribe, not after the first charge.
If you want the lowest bill for Photoshop alone and you are sure you will keep it, prepaying is the cheaper route. For everyone else, the monthly figure is the one to budget against.
Free trial and free alternatives
Adobe's plans page lists a 7-day free trial, and the trial converts to a paid membership after seven days unless you cancel first. That is the only no-cost route the page describes. Our guide to getting Photoshop for free covers the trial, the other routes and what each one costs you. If the price is the real obstacle, GIMP vs Photoshop explains what the free alternative does and does not do, and best free photo editors lists more options.
Which plan to buy
- Desktop Photoshop and Lightroom: the Photography plan. It is the cheapest option that includes the desktop app, and it adds 1TB of storage.
- Photoshop only: Photoshop alone, at its list price. Pick it only if you will never open Lightroom, since the Photography plan costs $36 a year less on the same monthly billing.
- Photoshop plus other Creative Cloud apps: Creative Cloud Pro. Expect $839.88 a year at the regular price, or $734.88 in year one with the offer.
- Web and phone editing with generative credits: Firefly Pro, at the Photography price. It has no desktop app, so it cannot replace the full program. For what generative tools deliver in practice, see our best AI image generators guide.
- A team of five: Photoshop for teams comes to $2,279.40 a year, and Creative Cloud Pro for teams to $5,999.40. Pick the team plan only if the business features matter to you. Mistakes that cost money
Buying Firefly Pro for desktop work is the easiest mistake on this list. It costs the same as the Photography plan, but it has no desktop app. A desktop job then needs a second subscription, and you end up paying for two plans to do one job.
Missing the end of the Creative Cloud Pro offer is the second mistake. The bill jumps by $35 a month at month four. Set a reminder for the end of month three, so you can decide before the higher rate applies.
Buying Lightroom on its own while you already pay for the Photography plan is the third. The Photography plan includes Lightroom, so the second purchase duplicates the app.
How to check the price yourself
Open Adobe's Photoshop plans page and find the price with the label "Annual, billed monthly" beside it. Check the storage row, since 100GB and 1TB are the two sizes on the individual plans. For the offer, read the terms link beside the promotion, because "New subscribers only" limits who gets the lower first-three-months rate. Prices can change, so the figures on this page are a dated snapshot, not a promise.
