• Sources: each vendor's pricing page and free-plan page where it has one, plus Try it on AI's terms of service, all read on 10 October 2026 in US dollars. Four vendors had a headshot product with a price we could confirm: Try it on AI, HeadshotPro, Aragon and BetterPic.
• Left out: Fotor has a Basic plan that is free forever, but its headshot packs have no price we could confirm, so it is not ranked. Photoroom, Pixelcut and Picsart sell general photo and design apps, and their pricing pages list no headshot plan, so none is ranked.
• Scenario: one professional who needs one usable LinkedIn headshot within a week. Each pack covers one person, so the cost for one person is the pack price.
• Not tested: we did not test any tool. Every count, resolution and wait below is the vendor's published claim, and we say so where a vendor gives no number.
• Refresh: we re-read every price every 60 days.

What one person pays when the first set misses

Plan for a miss. Generators sometimes return a set you cannot use, so the scenario needs a redo price as well as an entry price. BetterPic's redo costs $10, so its Basic pack becomes $45 with one redo. Aragon says it will regenerate your photos at no additional cost if you contact support, so its Basic pack keeps the same price with a redo. HeadshotPro's Basic pack lists no redo, while its Professional pack includes one free redo within 14 days.

Once a redo is part of the price, the order changes. Aragon at $35 is the lowest paid route after Try it on AI, ahead of HeadshotPro's Professional pack and BetterPic at $45. Try it on AI says it will regenerate results you are not happy with, and its copy gives no price for that. If the regeneration is free, its Express pack still comes out cheapest. We rank it on the first pack alone, because the copy does not say what a regeneration costs.

BetterPic: the only stated free count

BetterPic's free tier gives 10 headshots in 4K, with up to five outfits and backgrounds, five AI Studio credits to restyle the ones you keep, and a full commercial license. The license covers LinkedIn, a CV and paid work. The offer has two catches.

First, free generations wait in a shared queue behind paid orders, and the page says that takes 60 to 90 days. Second, free photos may be used for marketing and AI training, while paid photos are used only for your headshots and deleted on request. The free page does not mention a watermark either way, so check the first file before you rely on it.

If you can wait out the queue and accept those terms, this is the only zero-dollar route here with a stated count. If you cannot wait, its Basic pack gives 20 headshots at 4K in about two hours. Its refund covers purchases from the last 7 days, and only before training starts, so act within the week.

Aragon: free, with no delivery date

Aragon's free generator needs an account but no card. The page says free generations are limited per day and may join a waitlist when demand is high. It describes free headshots as offered on a limited basis, which may be paused or delayed. It promises about 30 minutes when a generation runs, but it does not say how many headshots you receive or at what resolution.

The paid Basic pack gives 40 headshots in about 45 minutes, with a 20 percent discount that Aragon labels a limited-time offer. Basic and Standard output is 896 x 1,088 pixels. Only the $75 Executive pack reaches 1,792 x 2,176, which matters for a print or a conference banner and rarely shows on a LinkedIn thumbnail. If you have not downloaded the photos, Aragon offers a full refund.

Try it on AI and HeadshotPro: no free headshots

Try it on AI has no free headshot allowance. Its Express pack starts at $17 for one person, with one selfie to upload, 200-plus headshots and delivery in under two hours. Its copy says there is no subscription and that you pay once. The free AI image editor on the same site is a separate tool, described as editing images with text prompts. Read the terms before you pay: section 7 of its terms of service says the company does not offer refunds once a payment is made.

HeadshotPro starts at $29 for 30 headshots in about two hours, with six photo credits for edits. The $39 Professional pack gives 50 headshots in about 30 minutes, 26 photo credits and a free redo within 14 days. The $59 Executive pack gives 70 headshots in about 15 minutes. Each is a one-time payment with no subscription, and the page offers money back if the headshots do not look like you. HeadshotPro has no free tier. Its team credits fall to $25.35 a credit at the 100-credit level, which comes to $2,535 in total.

Where the ranking flips

The ranking holds for one person. For ten people, BetterPic's Basic packs come to $350. At five to 14 credits, its company credits cost $39 each, which makes $390 for ten, so single packs stay cheaper at that size.

The picture changes at 100 people. BetterPic's enterprise pack is $23 a credit at 100 credits, or $2,300, while HeadshotPro's team tier is $2,535 for the same 100.
