Best Free AI Logo Generators in 2026: Free Limits Compared
Short answer: Vistaprint AI Logomaker is the best free AI logo generator for a logo you can print, and it costs $0. Its free plan includes PNG, SVG and PDF files, and its page says the 4000x4000 pixel files carry no watermark, checked 10 October 2026. If a tool asks you to pay for a vector file, LogoMakr's one-time pack is the lowest vector price we could confirm.
Free design is common among these tools. A file you can print for nothing is rare. Among the eight tools below, only Vistaprint's own page lists a free SVG download. Toolradar data: of the 20 logo design tools we track, 13 (65%) are free, freemium or open source, as of 10 October 2026. That count covers access to the design. This page is about the file, so it ranks each tool by what its free plan lets you download.

How we ranked these tools
We read each tool's own pricing or logo-maker page on 10 October 2026, and we wrote down the free plan, the free download formats, any watermark rule and the cheapest paid step in US dollars. We did not test the tools ourselves, so this compares published terms, not output quality. Eight tools made the list. The ranking follows what the free plan lets you download, then the cheapest paid step. Where a page does not state a rule, the table says so and the ranking uses only the terms the page publishes. Canva and Looka are not ranked because we could not confirm their free-download terms from their own pricing pages on that date.
Vistaprint AI Logomaker: a free SVG with no watermark
Vistaprint's AI Logomaker is the only tool here whose own page lists a free SVG download. The page says logos are free to create, customize and download. It lists three colored and three transparent logo files in PNG, SVG and PDF, all free, at 4000x4000 pixels. The page also says those files come without watermarks, so the vector file can go to a printer without a paid upgrade.
Free plan: create, customize and download at no cost, plus a free Brand Kit for your other Vistaprint projects. Cheapest paid step: none listed on the page. Watch out: the page does not state how many logos you can generate, so check that before you build a whole brand on one tool.
LOGO.com: unlimited downloads promised, with a brand plan on top
LOGO.com lets you design for free, and its logo maker page promises unlimited high-quality downloads on the free creator. The page lists PNG, JPG, SVG vectors, PDF, AI and WEBP files. It does not say which of those come free, so confirm the vector format before you pay for anything. The paid option is the Brand plan, which the pricing page lists at $15 a month or $60 a year in US dollars. That plan bundles the logo maker with a design hub and a brand kit.
Cheapest paid step: the yearly Brand plan. Watch out: a buyer who wants one logo may not need the brand kit, and the monthly price adds up to $180 over twelve months.
LogoMakr: the cheapest vector pack, paid once
LogoMakr lets you generate and preview logos for free, and its page says PNG and JPG downloads are free too. Everything vector sits in one paid pack. The pack covers SVG, PDF, transparent backgrounds and high-resolution files, and the page says vector files start at $30, paid once, with no subscription. For a buyer who needs one vector logo and dislikes monthly plans, that is the lowest vector price we could confirm.
Watch out: the free files are raster images. A free PNG looks fine on a screen but will go soft if you enlarge it for a sign.
Adobe Express: free storage, no SVG on the logo page
Adobe Express has a free plan and a free logo maker. The free plan includes 2GB of storage, and the logo page lists PNG, JPG and PDF downloads. The page does not mention an SVG download. It also does not state a watermark rule or a download cap. For a logo you will place on a website, an email signature or a slide deck, the PNG works. For a print vendor who asks for vector files, the page gives you no answer.
Watch out: the page is silent on watermarks and limits, so open the download step and check the file before you commit to a design.
Wix Logo Maker: a free transparent PNG inside a credit allowance
Wix gives new accounts a set of free credits. The credits cover generating concepts from a text prompt, comparing options, customizing colors, fonts and icons, and downloading the finished logo as a transparent PNG. SVG appears as an export option on the page, but it is not in the list of things the free credits cover. The page gives no credit count and no price for the paid plan, so you cannot plan how many attempts you get before you sign up.
Watch out: once the credits run out, you need a paid plan to keep downloading. The page does not say what that plan costs.
Renderforest: free standard-resolution downloads
Renderforest says its logo maker is free to use. You can browse templates, customize the logo and download it in standard resolution at no cost. High-resolution files and commercial use are paid options, but the logo page gives no price for either. For a social avatar or a website header, the free file is often enough. For a print job, plan on the paid file and budget for it before you start, because the page gives no figure.
Watch out: the logo page does not say which file formats come free beyond the standard-resolution download.
Designhill: free design, downloads from $20
Designhill's logo creator is free to use. You can make and preview a logo without design skills. Downloads cost money. The page lists a Basic logo from $20, a Premium logo from $65 and an Enterprise logo from $125. It says the vector format comes with Premium or Enterprise, not with Basic. It does not say whether each package is a one-time charge.
Watch out: if you need vector files, the cheapest route is the Premium package, more than three times the Basic price.
Logomakerr.ai: pay once per package
Logomakerr.ai says it is free to design a logo, and you only pay to download the package. Packages run from $29 to $99 across three plans called BASIC, PRO and BRAND. BASIC downloads JPG, PNG and PDF. SVG and EPS vector files come with PRO or BRAND. The company also sells a designer fix at checkout for $40, if you want its team to finish the logo.
Watch out: the $40 fix is extra, so compare the total at checkout, not only the package price.
What a print-ready logo costs in US dollars
A founder who needs one logo as an SVG for a print run and a website can get it from these tools for these amounts, using the prices and download rules on each page as of 10 October 2026:
- Vistaprint: $0, because its SVG download is free on the page.
- LogoMakr: $30 one-time for the SVG and PDF pack.
- Designhill: $65 for the Premium package, which includes vector files.
- Logomakerr.ai: $29 to $99 per package, with SVG only from PRO or BRAND. The page does not say which price maps to which plan.
- LOGO.com: $60 a year for the Brand plan. The page does not say whether SVG needs that plan.
For the LOGO.com line, the arithmetic is simple. Twelve months at $15 comes to $180, while $60 billed yearly is one third of that. Paying yearly saves $120, which is two thirds of the monthly total.

How to choose
You need a file for print and have no budget: start with Vistaprint AI Logomaker. Its page lists the SVG and PDF files as free, with no watermark.
You need one vector logo and do not want a monthly bill: LogoMakr's one-time pack. Two months of LOGO.com's monthly Brand plan already cost $30, the same as the pack, and each later month adds $15.
You want a logo plus a brand kit: LOGO.com's Brand plan bundles the logo maker, a design hub and a brand kit at a yearly price.
You need images for the rest of a brand kit: see best free AI image generators for tools that produce the photos and illustrations around the mark.
You only need a web avatar or a header: Renderforest's standard-resolution download or Wix's free transparent PNG is enough.
You want a designer-grade vector file and will pay per package: Designhill's Premium package includes vector files, and so do Logomakerr.ai's PRO and BRAND packages.
Common mistakes
- Designing before you check the download. Most tools here make the design free and charge at download. Check the download step and its format list before you spend an hour on one concept.
- Buying the cheapest package for a print job. Logomakerr.ai's BASIC package gives JPG, PNG and PDF but no SVG, and its packages start at $29. A print vendor who asks for vector files will send the PNG back.
- Forgetting checkout add-ons. Logomakerr.ai's designer fix costs $40 on top of the package. Read the total before you pay.
- Staying on a monthly plan. LOGO.com's monthly Brand plan adds up to $180 over a year, against the yearly price.
- Using a free generator without checking privacy. Recraft's free plan publishes generated images to a community gallery, so a logo made on that plan is publicly visible. That matters before you use a mark for a business.
FAQ
What is the best free AI logo generator in 2026?
Vistaprint AI Logomaker is the strongest free option on this list. Its page says logos are free to create and download, that PNG, SVG and PDF files come free, and that the 4000x4000 pixel files have no watermark. We checked the page on 10 October 2026.
Is there a free AI logo generator with an SVG download?
Yes, Vistaprint's AI Logomaker lists SVG among its free files. The other tools here either leave SVG off their free list or sell it in a paid pack, such as LogoMakr's one-time vector pack or the PRO and BRAND packages from Logomakerr.ai.
Do free AI logo generators add a watermark?
Vistaprint says its files come without watermarks. Most other pages here do not state a watermark rule, so do not assume either way. Preview the full-size file in the download step before you pay for it or use the mark anywhere.
How much does a logo with vector files cost?
Vistaprint costs nothing if its free SVG is what you need. LogoMakr's vector pack is a one-time payment. Designhill's Premium package and Logomakerr.ai's PRO and BRAND packages include vector files at package prices. LOGO.com's Brand plan is billed monthly or yearly, and its page does not say which plan includes SVG.
Can a logo made with a free AI tool be seen by other people?
Sometimes. Recraft's free plan publishes generated images to a community gallery, so a design made on that plan is publicly visible. Check whether a tool keeps your designs private before you use a mark for a business.
Who owns a logo made with a free AI tool?
Ownership depends on the tool's terms and your plan. Logomakerr.ai's FAQ says buyers own the full copyright to their logo design. Copyright in a design does not protect a name as a trademark, so file a trademark separately if the name matters to your business.
Bottom line
For a free logo you can print, start with Vistaprint AI Logomaker, because its page lists free SVG, PDF and PNG files with no watermark. Pay only when a tool forces you to, and then choose the cheapest vector route. LogoMakr's one-time pack is the lowest vector price we could confirm. LOGO.com's Brand plan is worth it only if you want the brand kit. Check the download step before you design, because free design is common and free print files are not.
