What Heyy Actually Is

Heyy is a no-code platform for automating customer conversations across the channels people already use to message businesses: a website live chat widget, WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook Messenger. Instead of routing every inquiry to a human, you build what the product calls AI Employees, digital agents that answer questions, qualify leads, route tickets, and carry out defined actions on their own. Around those agents sit a shared inbox, a lightweight CRM, a campaign tool, and an automation builder, so the whole loop from first message to follow-up lives in one place.

It is built by Heyy Group LLC and aimed squarely at small and mid-sized teams that field a steady stream of sales and support messages but do not want to code an agent from scratch or staff a round-the-clock desk. The pitch is operational rather than experimental: connect your channels, describe what each agent should handle, give it the documents and actions it needs, and let it work the queue.

The AI Employee Model

The defining idea in Heyy is that automation is packaged as a staff member rather than a chatbot flow. Each AI Employee is a configurable entity you set up for a role: a sales rep that captures and scores leads, a support agent that answers FAQs and checks order status, or an intake assistant that handles enrollment and onboarding questions. You define its knowledge, its tone, and the specific actions it is allowed to take, and it then works across whichever channels you connect it to.

Two configuration limits shape how far an agent can go, and they are worth understanding before you commit. The first is actions, the concrete operations an employee can perform, such as looking up an order, creating a record, or handing a conversation to a person. Plans cap these at 3, 8, or 12 actions per employee depending on tier. The second is AI assets, the reference material and objects an employee can draw on, which scale from a modest allowance on the entry plan up to 500 per employee higher up. Storage per employee is metered separately, starting at 3 MB and rising to 50 MB. In practice this means a single agent is powerful but bounded, and complex operations usually mean either richer assets or a second, more specialized employee.

Because the agents are role-based, you can also split work cleanly. A common setup is one employee for pre-sales lead qualification and another for post-sale support, each with its own knowledge and its own permitted actions, both feeding the same inbox. That separation keeps a sales agent from improvising support answers and vice versa, which is a real weakness of single monolithic bots.

What Else It Does

Unified Inbox and Mini CRM

Every conversation from every connected channel lands in one shared inbox, so a WhatsApp thread and a website chat sit side by side for the whole team. Alongside it, Heyy keeps a mini CRM that stores the contacts and context an agent gathers, which means a qualified lead is captured as a record rather than lost in a chat log. It is deliberately light, not a replacement for a full sales CRM, but enough to track who a contact is and where a conversation left off. Higher plans add saved views for filtering that inbox as volume grows.

Campaigns and Journeys

Beyond reactive replies, Heyy can run outbound campaigns across its messaging channels, and on paid tiers those campaigns can be scheduled or set to recur. The Pro tier and above introduce journeys, multi-step sequences that move a contact through stages based on their behavior, so you can layer proactive outreach and nurture flows on top of the agents answering inbound messages.

Automations and Integrations

An automation builder handles the rules-based glue: trigger an action when a message arrives, when a lead is scored, or when a ticket needs routing. The entry plan includes 10 automations, while paid plans make them unlimited. Heyy also offers full API access on every tier and connects to external CRMs, e-commerce systems, and ticketing tools, so an agent can check a live order or write back to the system of record rather than answering from static text alone. Custom integrations are available as a paid add-on for teams with a system that is not covered out of the box.

Credits and How Usage Is Metered

Heyy runs on a monthly credit allowance that the AI work draws down: 1,000 credits on the entry plan, 6,000 on Pro, and 20,000 on Ultra. Credits are the real unit of capacity here, more so than user seats, because a busy agent handling high message volume will consume them regardless of how many people are logged in. If you run out, a credits add-on tops you up at $20 per additional 1,000, which makes it easy to plan for a spike without jumping a full tier.

Pricing

Heyy is a paid product with a 14-day free trial rather than a permanent free plan. There are three published tiers plus a custom Enterprise option, and paying annually knocks the effective monthly rate down by roughly two months of cost.

  • Hobby, $49/month (or $41/month billed annually): 1 user, 1,000 credits, 1 AI employee, 3 channels, 10 automations, campaigns, mini-CRM, shared inbox, full API access, and basic support.
  • Pro, $149/month (or $125/month billed annually), marked most popular: everything in Hobby plus 5 users, 6,000 credits, 2 AI employees, unlimited channels, unlimited automations, scheduled and recurring campaigns, journeys, saved views, and advanced support.
  • Ultra, $499/month (or $416/month billed annually): everything in Pro plus 10 users, 20,000 credits, 3 AI employees, 50 MB storage per employee, sensitive chats, removal of the "Powered By" branding, and priority support.
  • Enterprise, custom pricing: higher limits, SLAs, a success manager, and migration and onboarding support.

Several capabilities are sold as add-ons rather than bundled, which is worth budgeting for. Extra user logins run $30/month each, an additional WhatsApp number is $8/month, an extra AI employee is $50/month, an AI Copilot is $50/month, custom integrations are $50/month, additional automations are $10/month, and the credits top-up is $20/month for 1,000 credits. The upshot is that the sticker price of a tier is a starting point, and a team that needs more seats, agents, or a second WhatsApp line will land somewhere above it.

Who It Is For

Heyy fits a business that gets most of its customer contact through chat apps and wants an agent working the queue without hiring for coverage. The site calls out Finance and Insurance, Health and Wellness, E-commerce, Education, and Real Estate, and the common thread is repeatable, high-volume questions: order status, appointment or enrollment intake, policy details, listing inquiries. If your team lives in WhatsApp and Instagram DMs, the multi-channel inbox alone earns its place.

The Hobby plan suits a solo operator or a very small team testing one agent on a few channels, though its single-employee and single-user limits are tight the moment you grow. Most teams doing real volume will start on Pro, where journeys, unlimited channels, and a second employee unlock the actual workflow. Ultra and Enterprise make sense once you need more seats, more credits, white-labeled chat, or the compliance touches like sensitive chats and SLAs. It is a weaker fit if you want a deeply custom, code-first agent or a full-featured sales CRM, since Heyy trades that depth for speed of setup and a no-code operating model.

Does Heyy have a free plan?

There is no permanent free tier. Heyy offers a 14-day free trial so you can build an AI Employee and connect channels before paying, after which the lowest paid plan is Hobby at $49 per month, or $41 per month billed annually.

What channels does Heyy support?

Website live chat, WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook Messenger. The Hobby plan limits you to 3 channels, while Pro and above make channels unlimited. An additional WhatsApp number is available as an $8 per month add-on.

What are credits and how do they work?

Credits are the monthly usage allowance the AI consumes as it handles conversations: 1,000 on Hobby, 6,000 on Pro, and 20,000 on Ultra. If you use them up, a credits add-on tops you up at $20 for another 1,000, so usage is metered by AI activity rather than purely by user seats.

How many AI Employees can I run?

One on Hobby, two on Pro, and three on Ultra, with higher limits on Enterprise. If you need more than your plan allows, an additional AI employee can be added for $50 per month, and each employee has its own actions, assets, and storage limits set by your tier.

Can Heyy connect to my existing tools?

Yes. Every plan includes full API access, and Heyy integrates with external CRMs, e-commerce platforms, and ticketing systems so an agent can look up live data such as order status. For systems not covered out of the box, custom integrations are offered as a $50 per month add-on.
