What Is CloudTask?

CloudTask is the B2B sales-as-a-service company providing outsourced sales development representatives (SDRs), account executives (AEs), and customer success managers (CSMs) for SaaS companies. Founded in 2014, CloudTask serves over 500 SaaS clients with dedicated outsourced sales talent.

The pitch is outsourced sales execution without the operational overhead. Hiring SDRs in-house requires recruiting, training, management, tooling, and retention work. CloudTask handles all of this; clients get vetted sales talent who plug into their existing CRM and sales playbook.

The product targets SaaS companies between Series A and growth stage that need to scale outbound without building internal sales infrastructure first. Typical engagements run 6-24 months with 2-10 dedicated SDRs per client.

How CloudTask Works

Define your ideal customer profile (ICP), sales motion, and target outcomes (meetings booked per month, qualified opportunities, revenue). CloudTask sources matching sales talent from their pre-vetted pool of bilingual professionals primarily in Latin America.

Selected SDRs interview with you. You approve hires before they start working on your account. The team learns your product, ICP, and playbook through a 2-4 week onboarding period.

SDRs work as dedicated extensions of your team. They log into your Salesforce or HubSpot, send outreach from your domain (with proper SPF/DKIM setup), and run sequences in your Outreach or Salesloft. To prospects, they appear as your employees.

Weekly reporting tracks activity, meetings booked, and conversion metrics. Monthly business reviews assess performance against goals and adjust strategy or staffing as needed.

Account managers handle the day-to-day operational layer: performance management, coaching, tooling setup, and replacements if specific SDRs do not work out.

CloudTask Pricing in 2026

Custom pricing per role and engagement. Typical ranges:

  • SDR (BDR): $3,000-$5,000/month per dedicated resource
  • Account Executive: $5,000-$8,000/month per dedicated resource
  • Customer Success Manager: $4,000-$6,000/month per dedicated resource

Minimum engagements typically 3-6 months. Most clients run 12-month contracts. Pricing scales with seniority, language requirements, and any specialized industry expertise.

Compared to fully-loaded in-house SDR cost ($90K-$120K base + $30K overhead in US markets), CloudTask costs roughly half. The cost arbitrage works because CloudTask sources from talent markets with lower wage bases.

Where CloudTask Wins

  • Skip hiring overhead: trained sales talent ready in weeks rather than months.
  • Flexible scaling: add or reduce headcount without firing employees.
  • Built-in management: account managers handle performance and coaching.
  • Cost efficiency: 40-50% cheaper than in-house US-based SDRs.
  • Bilingual capability: English plus Spanish for US Hispanic and LatAm markets.

Where It Falls Short

  • Less control than in-house: SDRs work for CloudTask first, your account second.
  • Quality varies by individual: as with any staffing engagement, specific people drive a lot of the outcome.
  • Onboarding takes time: 2-4 weeks before SDRs are fully productive.
  • Cultural fit can be a hurdle: external SDRs need to internalize your product and customer empathy.
  • Time zone considerations: LatAm-based SDRs work US business hours but cultural touchpoints differ.

CloudTask vs MarketerHire vs Belkins vs In-House Hiring

MarketerHire targets marketing roles, not sales specifically.

Belkins is a lead-gen agency that books meetings rather than staffing dedicated SDRs.

Boberdoo and Operatix are alternative sales outsourcing firms.

In-house hiring takes longer (3-6 months to fully ramped SDR) but gives more control. Math favors CloudTask for fast scaling; in-house works once you have stable revenue and proven sales motion.

Who Should Use CloudTask

SaaS startups scaling outbound: faster than hiring SDRs internally.

Companies testing new markets: low commitment to test fit before committing to in-house hires.

Revenue teams hitting capacity walls: existing SDRs maxed out; need to scale fast.

Skip it if: you have strong internal recruiting (build your own team), need very specialized industry expertise (CloudTask SDRs are generalists), or have very low budgets (in-house cheaper at high scale).

How CloudTask works

CloudTask is not a software product. It is a managed marketplace for hiring remote go-to-market staff based in Latin America, and the company stays involved after the hire rather than just handing you a CV. It sources and screens SDRs and BDRs, account executives, customer success managers, RevOps people and marketing and operations staff, then presents you a shortlist. When you hire through the membership, CloudTask remains the intermediary and handles compliance, contracts, payroll and onboarding on your behalf. The site claims a pool of 10,500+ vetted professionals across 12 LATAM countries and 10,249+ placements made to date. Candidates are also curated by tool skill (HubSpot, Salesforce, Apollo, Clay, Outreach, Gong, Zapier) and by AI-adjacent roles such as AI SDR operators and prompt engineers.

The starting point is a short form rather than a job description: you state the role type, team size, tools and budget. Within a stated 48 hours CloudTask hand-picks a shortlist of up to three candidates matched to role, budget and timezone. You review profiles and intro videos, interview whoever you want, and if none of the three fit, a second shortlist follows. Time to hire on the membership is stated as 5 to 15 days.

There are three commercial models. The Hiring Membership costs $299 per month and allows unlimited hires; each hire is billed as one all-in monthly rate that covers salary, payroll, compliance and Vendor of Record duties, delivered as a single invoice, with a 24-month replacement guarantee. Direct Hire is a one-time fee of 30% of first-year salary, where you run payroll yourself and the guarantee drops to 6 months. Graduation is a $7,500 flat fee to move an existing CloudTask-managed hire onto your own payroll. After a hire starts, a CX team checks in at day 7, 30 and 60. Vetting covers software proficiency, AI capability, English fluency and hardware standards.

Where CloudTask wins

  • Unusually specific published terms for a staffing-style service. The $299 per month membership, the 30% of year-one salary direct hire fee and the $7,500 graduation fee are all stated on the pricing page rather than hidden behind a call.
  • A 24-month replacement guarantee on membership hires (6 months on direct hires), which is far longer than the typical 90-day staffing guarantee.
  • Compliance is bundled, not your problem. Vendor of Record, payroll, contracts and compliance are folded into the all-in monthly rate, so you receive one invoice instead of running LATAM contractor compliance yourself.
  • A 48-hour matching commitment with a shortlist of up to three candidates, plus a second shortlist if the first round misses.
  • Talent indexed by the actual GTM stack (Apollo, Clay, Gong, Outreach, HubSpot, Salesforce), which is more useful than filtering on a generic "sales rep" label.

Where it falls short

  • Latin America only. There are no US, EMEA or APAC candidates, so timezone fit works well for the Americas and badly for European or Asian teams.
  • The number that matters is not published. The all-in monthly rate per hire is never shown: you pay $299 per month just to see candidates and only learn the real cost after matching.
  • The membership bills whether or not you hire, so intermittent hiring is poorly served. Direct hire avoids the subscription but costs 30% of year-one salary and cuts the guarantee to 6 months.
  • Bringing a managed hire in-house is a paid event at $7,500, so the low monthly membership is partly offset by lock-in on the managed billing rate.
  • Nothing is self-serve. Every path runs through a matching team and a call, and the marketing site is heavily bot-gated (non-JS clients get a 404 page), which makes quiet evaluation difficult.

Who should use CloudTask

CloudTask fits US and Canadian B2B SaaS and agency teams that want overlapping-timezone, English-fluent GTM hires quickly and do not want to set up LATAM payroll and compliance themselves. It makes the most sense if you hire at least one role a year, since the $299 monthly membership runs continuously and the value comes from repeat use plus the 24-month replacement guarantee.

Skip it if you need talent outside Latin America, if you want to compare real per-hire costs before committing any money, or if you hire only once every few years and would rather pay a one-off recruiter fee and be done. It is also the wrong choice if you dislike sales-led processes, because there is no way to evaluate the marketplace without going through matching and a conversation.
