Employment law changes constantly. A new state passes a pay transparency requirement, another updates its harassment training mandate, and your company has employees in 15 states with different rules for each. Most HR teams track this with spreadsheets and Google Alerts. WorkWise Compliance tries to replace that patchwork with actual compliance software.
The platform tracks regulatory changes, manages required documentation, and helps ensure your practices align with current employment law across multiple jurisdictions. It's the kind of tool that pays for itself the first time it prevents a compliance violation that would have cost you $50,000 in fines.

Regulatory tracking: Monitors changes in employment law across jurisdictions. When a state updates its minimum wage, paid leave policy, or training requirement, you know about it before the deadline.
Policy management: Maintain compliant employee handbooks and policies. WorkWise flags when your policies need updating based on regulatory changes.
Documentation and audit support: Track required forms, training completions, and compliance records. When an auditor or attorney asks for documentation, it's organized and accessible.
Multi-jurisdiction support: The real value for companies with employees in multiple states or countries. Each jurisdiction has different requirements, and WorkWise tracks them all.
Pricing
Standard: $399/year ($39/month). Includes automatic poster updates, digital resource library, harassment prevention training, OSHA safety posters.
Elite: $799/year ($79/month). Adds full laminated poster replacements, LMS access for 25 employees, course tracking and reporting. Most popular tier.
They've been around 35+ years and serve 1.5M+ US organizations. In December 2025, they acquired Bizhaven to expand their HR and workplace safety compliance capabilities.

- Multi-state employers: The more jurisdictions you operate in, the more value compliance tracking provides
- Growing companies: Every new state you hire in adds compliance complexity
- HR teams without dedicated compliance staff: Automates monitoring that would otherwise fall through the cracks
Not Ideal For
- Single-state small businesses: If all your employees are in one state, a basic compliance checklist may be enough
- Companies with large legal/compliance teams: They may already have established processes that don't need a software layer
- Niche tool: Small vendor in a space where alternatives are limited but so is the market
The Bottom Line
Employment compliance is one of those areas where nothing happens until something goes wrong, and then it's very expensive. WorkWise Compliance is insurance in software form. If you're managing employees across multiple jurisdictions and don't have a dedicated compliance attorney on staff, it fills a real gap.
Start With WorkWise Compliance Get started →How WorkWise Compliance works
WorkWise Compliance (workwisecompliance.com) is the rebranded Personnel Concepts, a 30-year-old labor law poster company that now sells a membership around that core. The paid product is a subscription that keeps your federal, state, city, county and industry-specific labor law postings current. The vendor monitors the agencies, has each change legally reviewed, reprints laminated posters and ships replacements automatically to every one of your locations. Bolted onto that are an Online Training Hub (an LMS), an Employee Management System (EMS) for HR records, and, on the top tier, a human HR and Safety consultant. Understand it as a compliance service with software attached, not a software platform.
You subscribe by location and by state, county or city, and the vendor configures which postings each site legally needs. New posters then arrive automatically when a rule changes, with digital versions for remote staff. The corporate track, pitched at operators with 20 or more locations, adds a self-service portal, a dedicated account manager, branded posters, consolidated billing, and a Poster Verification workflow: site managers check in online to confirm posters were received and displayed, and that status rolls up to a compliance dashboard.
The EMS is set up separately. You build an org chart with manager and admin permissions, load employee documents for e-signature onboarding, upload your own training videos to the LMS, and track certifications and time-off requests. The Partner tier is a service engagement rather than a product: a named HR and Safety Business Partner writes handbooks, safety manuals and SOPs, and takes unlimited consultation calls, virtual or on-site.
Where WorkWise Compliance wins
- Poster compliance is handled end to end. Continuous monitoring of federal, state, city and county agencies, legal review of each change, and automatic reprint-and-ship to every subscribed location, including the city, county and industry-specific notices most vendors skip.
- Poster Verification produces auditable proof. Managers confirm receipt online and status rolls up to a central dashboard, which is the part that actually survives an inspection at a multi-site operator.
- Pricing is published, which is unusual here. Standard runs $39/mo or $399/yr, Elite $79/mo (25 users included, $2/mo per extra user), Partner from $375/mo, and standalone posters from $19.95 per state or location. Monthly plans carry no long-term commitment.
- The Partner tier is real fractional HR. Custom handbooks, safety manuals, SOPs, leadership training and on-site support options, delivered by a named person rather than a chatbot.
- EMS covers the compliance-adjacent HR basics inside an existing subscription: e-sign onboarding, org chart with permissions, a training tracker with certification storage, time off, performance, surveys and audit-ready reports, without adding a second vendor.
Where it falls short
- US-only by construction. The whole value proposition is US federal, state, city and county postings, so there is no use for it outside the United States.
- No integrations are disclosed anywhere on the site. The EMS pages list no payroll, HRIS, SSO or API connections, and the corporate page offers no technical specs, so employee data gets re-keyed and sits in a silo next to your real HR system.
- No free tier and no self-serve trial advertised. The corporate and multi-location path is quote-only, with a promised response in roughly two business hours, so larger buyers cannot price it without talking to sales.
- EMS pricing is stacked confusingly. The EMS page quotes a base of 10 users plus $6/mo per additional user, while the membership page quotes Elite at 25 users plus $2/mo each. That is an add-on billed differently from the membership it sits inside, and the EMS base price is not published.
- No mobile app is mentioned, and the training library's depth is never quantified. You are largely expected to upload your own videos to the LMS.
Who should use WorkWise Compliance
This fits US employers with physical worksites, particularly multi-location retail, restaurant, franchise and light-industrial operators who need defensible proof that required postings are current at every site, and who want the option of a human HR consultant on retainer. The Poster Verification dashboard and the automatic reprint-and-ship cycle are what you are actually paying for, and the Partner tier makes sense if you have no in-house HR function.
Skip it if you are a fully remote or non-US company, since the postings are the product. Skip it too if you already run a real HRIS such as BambooHR, Rippling or Gusto, because with no integration path the EMS only duplicates records you already maintain. And skip it if you want a modern self-serve product you can trial before speaking to a salesperson, because that option is not offered for the multi-location path.
