A customer visits your store, finds the product they want, sees "out of stock," and leaves. Most of them never come back. Notify Me turns that dead end into a recovery opportunity. Customers sign up for notifications on out-of-stock products, and when inventory returns, they get an email, SMS, or push notification within minutes. Back-in-stock emails typically see 30-50% open rates because the recipient already told you they want the product.
Start Recovering Lost Sales Get started →How It Works
Install Notify Me on your Shopify, WooCommerce, or other e-commerce platform. Out-of-stock product pages automatically show a "Notify me when available" button. Customers enter their email (or phone number for SMS). When you restock, notifications fire automatically. The customer clicks through and buys.
It works at the variant level. A customer who wants a size Medium in Blue gets notified when that specific variant restocks, not when an unrelated size comes back.
Beyond back-in-stock, Notify Me also handles price drop alerts (notify when a product they viewed goes on sale) and pre-launch waitlists for new products or limited releases. The demand analytics dashboard shows which out-of-stock items have the most waiting customers, which directly informs your purchasing decisions.

Starter: From $32/month (~€29). Up to 1,000 notifications per month.
Growth: From $87/month (~€79). Higher volumes, additional features.
Scale: From $219/month (~€199). High-volume stores with advanced needs.
Enterprise: Custom pricing.
SMS notifications cost extra per message on top of the subscription. At $32/month, you need the recovered revenue from a handful of sales to justify the cost. For stores with popular items that regularly sell out, the math works easily.
Strengths and Limitations
Strengths:
- Recovers sales you'd otherwise lose completely
- Multi-channel (email, SMS, web push, app push) increases the chance customers see the notification in time
- Demand data helps you make better restocking decisions
- Variant-level tracking means customers get relevant notifications, not noise
Limitations:
- Only valuable if you actually have stockouts. If your inventory is always available, there's nothing to notify about.
- SMS costs add up at scale. Per-message fees on top of the subscription can get pricey.
- Conversion isn't guaranteed. By the time you restock, some customers have bought from a competitor.
- Small stores with low traffic may not generate enough signups to justify the monthly cost.
Notify Me vs. Klaviyo vs. Shopify Back in Stock
Shopify Back in Stock apps (free or cheap): Basic email notifications when items restock. Fine for simple use cases, but no SMS, no push, no demand analytics, no price drop alerts.
Klaviyo: Includes back-in-stock flows as part of its broader email platform. If you're already on Klaviyo, you may not need Notify Me for basic restock emails. But Notify Me goes deeper: SMS, push, waitlists, demand analytics, and price drop features that Klaviyo doesn't focus on.
How Notify Me works
Notify Me (notify-me.rs) is a website change monitoring service. You give it the URL of a page you care about, it re-fetches that page on a schedule, and it emails you a diff when the text changes. Detection is text-level: added, removed and modified content, shown inline with the surrounding unchanged text so you can see what actually moved without opening the page. The vendor promotes it for restock and in-stock alerts, competitor price tracking, apartment and campsite availability, job boards, and news or regulatory monitoring. It is a small independent product run by a two-person team based in Belgrade and Novi Sad, Serbia, with a free-forever tier.
Setup is a single form. You paste the URL, name the tracker, pick which change types to watch (added, removed, modified), and choose a check interval: 15 minutes, 2 hours, 3 hours, 8 hours, 1 day, 1 week or 2 weeks. The 15-minute option is paid-only, and free accounts bottom out at 8 hours. Two noise filters sit on top. A keyword filter takes comma-separated words and only alerts you when a change contains one of them, so you can wait for "out of stock" to flip to "available" instead of hearing about every banner tweak. An AI filter handles the noise you cannot express as keywords, and the vendor says it removes about 95% of spammy changes.
Each tracker carries a status of Active, Pending or Down, and you get an email when that status flips, so a dead URL or a typo surfaces on its own rather than silently going quiet. Alerts go to email on every plan, with Discord and Telegram unlocked by plan. Paid plans add Zapier and n8n integrations plus residential proxies for sites that block datacentre traffic. There are Chrome and Firefox extensions. There is no public API today: the FAQ says to contact the founders if you need one.
Where Notify Me wins
- A real free-forever tier: 3 trackers, 8-hour checks, email alerts, no credit card.
- Two layers of noise control that most cheap trackers lack. Comma-separated keyword filters plus an AI filter on changes are what make price and stock monitoring survivable rather than an inbox flood.
- 15-minute checks on paid plans, matching an interval that much more expensive competitors charge for.
- Cheap for the category: $5.59 to $7.99 per month on Standard (12 URLs), or a one-time lifetime licence at $87.99 to $127.99 for 15 URLs.
- Diff emails include the unchanged surrounding content, so you can judge whether a change matters straight from the notification.
- Zapier and n8n integrations plus residential proxies on paid tiers, and browser extensions for Chrome and Firefox.
Where it falls short
- No API. The FAQ states one is not offered today and points you to the founders for a custom arrangement.
- Nothing behind a login. The vendor refuses to store credentials for password-protected pages, and content that only appears after you click something on the page is explicitly unsupported.
- CAPTCHA-protected pages are not guaranteed, since the vendor says it cannot consistently pass them.
- Tracker counts are low: 3 URLs free, 12 on Standard, 15 on Lifetime. Unlimited URLs requires the quote-only Enterprise plan.
- One exact URL per monitor. Whole-site crawling is not included and is pushed to a separate product (Competition Tracker) or a custom build.
- Alert channels stop at email, Discord and Telegram. No Slack, SMS or webhook is listed on the pricing page.
Who should use Notify Me
This is for individuals and small teams who need to be told when one specific page changes: restock hunters, price and competitor watchers, apartment or campsite seekers, job seekers, and compliance people tracking a handful of regulatory pages. If you want to spend under $10 a month and be running in two minutes, it lands well, and the free tier is generous enough to prove the idea before you pay.
It is the wrong tool if you need programmatic access, since there is no API. Skip it if the pages you care about sit behind a login or only reveal content after a click, if you need visual or pixel-level comparison rather than text diffs, or if you want dozens to hundreds of monitors without going through a sales conversation on the Enterprise plan.
FAQ
How fast do notifications send after restock?
Within minutes of inventory becoming available. Speed matters because popular items may sell out again quickly.
Does it work for specific sizes/colors?
Yes. Customers sign up for specific variants (size Medium, color Blue), and only get notified when that exact variant restocks.
Notify Me is a focused tool for a specific problem: turning stockouts from lost sales into recovered revenue. If your store regularly sells out of popular items and you're not capturing that demand, you're leaving money on the table. The multi-channel notifications, variant-level tracking, and demand analytics make it more than a basic "email when back in stock" widget. Whether it's worth $32-219/month depends on how often you run out and how much a recovered sale is worth to you.
