Image: Reolink

$179.99 sale price for one camera with Solar Panel 2 on Reolink's US store, $35 under its list price, read November 3, 2026. A microSD card is extra, and we did not read card prices.

The page lists 4K video, a 5,000 mAh battery and IP66 weatherproofing. Its battery claim, 30% more life than an IR 4K camera, comes from a Reolink lab test, not a runtime in hours.

Pros:

  • No monthly fee for local storage, as the product page states.
  • At its $179.99 sale price, $40 less than the eufy SoloCam S340's listed price ($5 less at Reolink's $214.99 list price).
  • 4K video from one camera across a 180 degree view.

Cons:

  • The microSD card is not in the box, and 512 GB is the largest card it accepts.
  • Reolink Cloud is available in selected countries only, and its US plan prices are not in our table.
  • No runtime in hours: the page says battery life "varies based on settings, usage & temperature".

Best for: one outdoor camera, a buyer who wants no monthly fee, and a card they already own.

  • The lowest listed doorbell price in the table (eufy's E340 matches it only with eufy's on-page code, until November 18, 2026), and no monthly fee for 24/7 recording to local storage.
  • Two packs are $4.99 less than two single packs bought separately.

Cons:

  • It is wired: the door needs an Ethernet cable run and a Power over Ethernet connection.
  • The card limit is 256 GB, half the 512 GB the Argus 4 Pro accepts.

Pros:

  • Battery or wired, so it suits a door with no wiring.

  • 5 hours to fully charge the battery, so a spare pack is worth having.

Best for: a battery doorbell with no fee, for a buyer who accepts 8 GB on the device.

eufy vs Ring: the plan decides

Most of this search comes down to whether recording costs extra. eufy keeps video on the device at no charge. Ring sells video history as a plan: Solo covers one device, and Multi covers every device at one location. Ring's camera is cheaper up front, so the gap favors Ring for the first two years on the yearly Solo plan ($199.97 vs $219.99 at 24 months).

eufy vs Ring: one outdoor camera and one doorbell each, from the cards above
Item eufy Ring
Outdoor camera SoloCam S340 Outdoor Cam Plus
Doorbell Video Doorbell E340 Battery Doorbell 2K Plus
Video history without a plan Yes, 8 GB on the device No, Ring Protect from $4.99 a month

Verdict: eufy if you want recording with no fee at all. Ring if you want the lowest camera price and already pay for a Ring plan.

Reolink's camera costs $80 more than Ring's at its $179.99 sale price (list $214.99, $115 more), but it records with no plan. Reolink's PoE doorbell is $60 cheaper than Ring's battery doorbell, with the catch that it is wired. For one camera over 24 months, Ring on the yearly Solo plan costs $199.97, which is more than Reolink's sale price before its card, but less than its list price. For four cameras, Ring on one Multi plan is cheaper than four Reolink units.

Reolink vs Ring: one outdoor camera and one doorbell each, from the cards above
Item Reolink Ring
Outdoor camera Argus 4 Pro with Solar Panel 2 Outdoor Cam Plus
Doorbell Video Doorbell PoE (wired) Battery Doorbell 2K Plus
Video history without a plan Yes, microSD or NVR No, Ring Protect from $4.99 a month

Verdict: Reolink for a home that will not pay a plan. Ring if the house already runs Ring, because one Multi plan covers every device there.

See the Reolink Argus 4 Pro on Amazon Opens Amazon; the price on Amazon may differ.

The Argus 4 Pro is $40 under the SoloCam S340 at its sale price, and both record with no fee. The difference is storage: eufy keeps 8 GB on the camera, while Reolink takes a microSD card up to 512 GB. On the doorbell, eufy's E340 is a battery model with 8 GB on the device. Reolink's PoE doorbell is cheaper, but it needs an Ethernet connection at the door.

eufy vs Reolink: one outdoor camera and one doorbell each, from the cards above
Item eufy Reolink
Outdoor camera SoloCam S340 Argus 4 Pro with Solar Panel 2
Doorbell Video Doorbell E340 (battery) Video Doorbell PoE (wired)
Storage with no fee 8 GB built in, HomeBase S380 for more microSD up to 512 GB (camera), 256 GB (doorbell)

Verdict: eufy for a battery doorbell. Reolink for more card storage and a cheaper outdoor camera.

Which costs least after 12 and 24 months?

Dupple data: computed from vendor prices on Nov 3, 2026. Each row uses the listed price read on Nov 3, 2026 (Reolink at its sale price, see card 1). Multi-packs, bundles and sales change the hardware line, and microSD cards are not priced. Reolink Cloud is not in the tables, for the reason in the methodology. eufy's cloud row is optional, as Reolink Cloud would be; Reolink's own pages give conflicting US prices for Reolink Cloud and its US store has no plan page, so none is modelled (read Nov 3, 2026).

Arithmetic, shown once: four Ring cameras on Multi for 24 months is 4 x $99.99 = $399.96 in hardware, plus 2 x $99.99 = $199.98 for the plan, a total of $599.94.

eufy SoloCam S340 with Cloud Basic, yearly $219.99 $39.99 a year $259.98 $299.97
Ring Outdoor Cam Plus with Solo, yearly $99.99 $49.99 a year $149.98 $199.97
Four cameras of the same model per brand, Dupple data from vendor prices read November 3, 2026
Setup Hardware Plan 12 months 24 months
Reolink Argus 4 Pro x4 at its sale price, microSD (cards extra) $719.96 None $719.96 $719.96
eufy SoloCam S340 x4, 8 GB only $879.96 None $879.96 $879.96
eufy SoloCam S340 x4 with Cloud Plus, yearly $879.96 $139.99 a year $1,019.95 $1,159.94
Ring Outdoor Cam Plus x4 with Multi, yearly $399.96 $99.99 a year $499.95 $599.94

Billed monthly instead, Ring Solo costs $219.75 over 24 months for one camera, and Multi costs $639.72 for four. eufy's Cloud Basic is $3.99 a month per device and Cloud Plus is $13.99 a month for all devices. eufy's Plus Member bundles cloud backup too, but it is a membership, so we did not model it.

Verdict: for one camera, Reolink is cheapest over 24 months at its sale price before its card, Ring on the yearly Solo plan comes second, and eufy costs $219.99 with no plan. At its $214.99 list price it would cost $15.02 more than Ring on the yearly Solo plan over 24 months. For four cameras, Ring is cheapest because one Multi plan covers all four. Ring is also the only one of the three where video history needs a plan.

Local storage: what each brand locks behind a plan

  • Reolink: nothing is locked. microSD (512 GB on the camera, 256 GB on the doorbell) or an NVR records with no monthly fee. Reolink Cloud is available in selected countries only.
  • eufy: 8 GB on the device is free. A HomeBase S380 adds storage at extra cost. Cloud backup is the paid option.
  • Ring: Ring Protect is the storage. Neither product page lists a microSD slot. The plan page's microSD line applies to Ring Alarm Pro only.

Who should buy which

  • One outdoor camera, no plan: the Reolink Argus 4 Pro, plus a microSD card you already own.
  • A battery doorbell with no fee: the eufy Video Doorbell E340, with 8 GB on the device.
  • Four cameras on one plan: Ring Outdoor Cam Plus with Multi is the lowest 24-month total, $599.94, against $719.96 for four Reolink cameras at their sale price, before cards.
  • Already on Ring: stay on Ring, because Multi covers every device at one location.
  • No Ethernet run at the door: skip the Reolink PoE doorbell.

FAQ

Which outdoor camera costs least over 24 months?

For one camera, the Reolink Argus 4 Pro is cheapest over 24 months at its sale price, before its microSD card. Ring's Outdoor Cam Plus costs $199.97 over 24 months on the yearly Solo plan, and the eufy SoloCam S340 costs $219.99 with no plan. At its $214.99 list price it would cost $15.02 more than Ring on the yearly Solo plan over 24 months.

Does Ring record without a Ring Protect plan?

Not video history. Ring's plan page sells up to 180 days of event history on Solo and Multi. Ring says some features work without a plan, but recordings need one.

Does the eufy SoloCam S340 need a subscription?

No, for local storage. The product page says "Local Storage, No Monthly Fee" on 8 GB built in. Cloud backup is optional.

Can a Reolink camera record without a monthly fee?

Yes. The Argus 4 Pro takes a microSD card, and Reolink's pages say "No Monthly Fees For Local Storage". The card is not in the price.

Does one Ring plan cover the doorbell and the cameras?

Multi and Pro cover all devices at one location. Solo covers one device.

Why does the Reolink price differ on Amazon?

The price on this page is read on Reolink's US store. Amazon sets its own price. Opens Amazon; the price on Amazon may differ.

Is the Reolink doorbell battery powered?

No. The Video Doorbell PoE is wired, with one Ethernet cable for power and data.

Methodology

  • One battery or solar outdoor camera and one video doorbell per brand, the models each brand sells on its own US store today. Other models were not compared.
  • Ranking: Reolink is first because its camera and doorbell both record with no monthly fee. eufy is second, with no fee but 8 GB on the device. Ring is third, because video history needs a plan from $4.99 a month. Ring is cheapest for four cameras over 24 months, and the order favors recording without a fee.
  • The Reolink PoE doorbell is second as the cheapest doorbell with no fee; it needs an Ethernet run, so for a door with no wiring the eufy E340 (card 4) is the better fit.
  • Not included: Reolink Cloud, because Reolink's own pages give different US plan prices and we could not confirm one current list; microSD cards; and multi-pack prices.
  • One vendor conflict: Ring's plan FAQ calls Solo its plan for all home devices, while its plan cards say Solo covers one device. We used the plan cards.
