Best Baby Monitor in 2026: Nine Compared on 24-Month Cost

Disclosure: no link on this page is an affiliate link today. Brand links go to each brand's own US store or product page.
Updated November 4, 2026: prices re-checked on each vendor's US store or pricing page. Compared from vendor specs and pricing pages, not tested hands-on.
Nine baby monitors rank by 24-month cost as of November 2026. VTech's RM9751 Wi-Fi camera leads at $45.95, followed by VTech's RM9761 Pan-Tilt camera at $49.95 and Hubble AI Vision at $99.99. Among the nine, no vendor page names a paid plan as required for live video, so each 24-month total equals its set price.

Safety first: no monitor is shown to reduce SIDS risk. The American Academy of Pediatrics says there is "no evidence that these devices ... decrease SIDS risk" (its safe sleep guide, whose page metadata is dated September 11, 2026, read November 4, 2026). The AAP wrote that about consumer wellness devices such as pulse oximetry monitors. Treat every monitor below as an extra pair of eyes and ears, and read the AAP's safe sleep guide before you buy.

How the order is set
One rule orders the table. A model passes three checks: it has a camera that streams live video to an app or a parent unit, sold on the brand's own US store with a dollar price; the vendor says its live video and alerts work without a paid plan, or the plan it says is required is added; and the set is in stock on the day of the read. Owlet Dream Sock is a sock sensor with no camera, so it is outside the ranking.
For each passing model, the total is the lowest US store price of its set as sold plus any required plan at its standard rate over 24 months. The lowest total ranks first. Ties go to the brand in alphabetical order, then the model. At most two numbered picks per brand; a brand's other passing models sit in the box below the list with their total and price. Colours, editions and bundles of one product are one pick, and the other editions are named in its card. The next model on cost after the ninth is eufy's E21 at $259.99.
The eufy C10's sale banner ends on November 18, 2026, after November 7, so its $129.99 sets its sixth place.
1. VTech RM9751 Wi-Fi Camera: best for a camera on the phone with no monthly charge

$45.95 for the Yellow Daisy design of VTech's "1080p Smart Wi-Fi Remote Access Yellow Daisy Baby Camera with Night Light" on VTech's US store, read November 4, 2026, with Add to Cart shown. It is a different model from the RM9761 in the next card, not a colour of it.
Required plan: none. The product page says the free app works "with no monthly charges".
Pros: the lowest set price on the list, with no monthly charge in VTech's words.
Cons: there is no parent unit, so the view is on your phone or tablet and depends on your Wi-Fi. The 1080p figure is VTech's, and we did not test the picture.
Best for: a parent who wants the camera on the phone and nothing else.
2. VTech RM9761 Pan-Tilt Wi-Fi Camera: best for a pan and tilt view on the phone

$49.95 for the "Pan-Tilt 1080p Smart Wi-Fi Baby Camera", model RM9761, on VTech's US store, read November 4, 2026, with Add to Cart shown and "Current price" printed as $49.95. VTech's product page describes "360-degree Pan, tilt, and zoom" and "100-degree tilt up and down".
Required plan: none. VTech describes "Free live remote access" with "no monthly charges".
Pros: pan, tilt and zoom in the camera's own specification, with no monthly charge in VTech's words, at $4.00 more than the RM9751.
Cons: the same catch as the RM9751: no parent unit, so the view depends on your Wi-Fi and your phone.
Best for: a parent who wants to move the view from the phone and needs no plan.
3. Hubble AI Vision: best for a 2K Wi-Fi camera with core features free

$99.99 on Hubble's US store, read November 4, 2026, listed as available.
Required plan: none for core features. Hubble's FAQ says: "All Hubble Connected monitors work right out of the box with core monitoring features included." Its Smart Monitoring Membership unlocks "premium features".
Pros: a Wi-Fi set at $99.99 with no required plan.
Cons: Hubble's FAQ says Wi-Fi monitors connect to a smartphone, so the view depends on your home network.
Best for: a single nursery with a phone as the parent unit.

4. Hubble GoBaby AI Cam: best for the cry alerts Hubble lists

$99.99 on Hubble's US store, read November 4, 2026, listed as available. Its page lists "True Cry Detection", "Rollover & Covered Face Notifications" and "Advanced Sleep Analytics" among its features.
Required plan: none for core features, under the same Hubble FAQ quoted above.
Pros: the cry detection feature is stated on its page, with no required plan.
Cons: its features run through the HubbleClub app on Wi-Fi, and the premium tier is optional but priced separately.
Best for: a parent who wants the cry and sleep features Hubble lists on one camera.

5. Owlet Dream Sight (Gen 3): best for Owlet's app without the sock

$99.99 USD for the Dream Sight camera on Owlet's US store, read November 4, 2026, with Add to cart shown. Its page lists a "Wall Mounting Kit" among the contents.
Required plan: none for core features. Owlet's page says "No subscription is required to use Dream Sight." Owlet360 is optional, and in Owlet's words its annual plan "auto-renews".
Pros: 2K HD video, cry detection and two-way talk with no required plan.
Cons: Owlet's page says white noise streaming is "Available with Owlet360 subscription", so that feature costs extra.
Best for: a parent who wants Owlet's camera and app without the sock.
6. eufy Baby Monitor C10: best for a feed that works without the router

$129.99 on eufy's US store, read November 4, 2026, with Add to Cart shown and no struck list price beside it. The page shows an "Early Black Friday Sale. Up to 38% Off" banner, and the banner's end time in the page's own settings is 2026/11/18 23:59:59.
Required plan: none named on the product page.
Pros: eufy describes a "stable local feed without Wi-Fi" and "remote access when you're away" under its Hybrid Monitoring heading.
Cons: the page does not say the remote view works without Wi-Fi, and the sale ends on November 18.
Best for: a home with weak Wi-Fi that still wants a view from the phone.
7. CuboAi Smart Baby Monitor 3: best for the CuboAi app and its alerts

$199.00 for the Wall Mount Set on CuboAi's US store, read November 4, 2026, with Add to Cart shown. CuboAi shows $239.00 struck beside it with no end date printed (read November 4, 2026); at $239.00 it would rank after the DXR-8 PRO. The Floor Stand Set is an edition of the same camera at $299.00 on the same page. CuboAi's Plus page sells the same camera as a 3-Stand Set at $219.00, and its "CuboAi Monitor 3 Specs" block matches, so it is an edition too, not a second pick.
Required plan: none stated as required. The page says the monitor "includes a Free 1-Year Trial of CuboAi Care Premium". CuboAi's care page prints "Starting at $4.17/month" for Premium on an annual subscription, which is optional.
Pros: a one-year warranty is stated, and the trial of Care Premium comes with the set.
Cons: it needs Wi-Fi: "The CuboAi Smart Baby Monitor needs to be connected to your home Wi-Fi network in order to connect to our App and the cloud." The page also says "Smartphone is required".
Best for: a Wi-Fi home that wants the CuboAi app.

8. Infant Optics DXR-8 PRO: best for a 5-inch parent unit with a stated 1,000ft range and no internet

Its page says "No router, no cloud, no subscription" and gives "Up to 1,000ft Signal Range". The split-screen DXR-8 PRO SS is a separate model at $299.99 on the same store, listed in the box below.
Required plan: none.
Pros: a 5-inch screen, the stated 1,000ft range, and no Wi-Fi to set up.
Cons: there is no remote view: the page says "No apps or WiFi required", and the feed "can't be accessed from outside your home".
Best for: a larger home with a non-Wi-Fi need.
9. Nanit Smart Baby Monitor + Flex Stand: best for Nanit's camera with no plan

$249.00 for the Smart Baby Monitor + Flex Stand set on Nanit's US store, read November 4, 2026, with Add to cart shown.
Required plan: none for core use. Nanit's FAQ says: "A Nanit Insights plan is not required to use the Nanit Smart Baby Monitor." It lists "the high-quality live stream video, real-time sound and motion notifications" as core features, "all via your Nanit App and an Internet connection."
The trial: the product page says "Every Nanit Pro includes a free 3-month trial of our Sleep Plan" and that "The trial auto-renews, but you can cancel anytime." Nanit's memberships page (read November 4, 2026) says the Sleep Plan "Renews automatically for less than $10/month", and that "All Nanit Insights subscriptions are billed annually."
Over 12 and 24 months: $249.00 both times if you take no plan. If you start the trial and do not cancel, Nanit states the renewal in the quotes above, and no annual Sleep Plan price is printed, so the renewal is not costed in the table below.
Pros: live video and alerts without a plan, and the stand is in the set.
Cons: it is the most expensive of the nine, and the trial renews unless you cancel it.
Best for: a parent who wants Nanit's app and the stand, and does not want a plan.
Also worth a look: outside the nine
These sit outside the nine: past a brand's two-per-brand cap, or below the ninth place on cost. VTech sells more video monitors than the box lists; the rest of its range also sits past the cap. Each line shows the 24-month total: the set price, plus the required membership for Miku Pro.
- VTech VM3258, 2.8-inch video monitor: $49.95 total. Past VTech's cap of two numbered picks. Its page names no Wi-Fi and a "1000ft Range". VTech's VM3258 page

- Owlet Dream Duo: $379.99 total. A Dream Sight camera with the Dream Sock, Owlet's second model. Its page says "No subscription is required to use Dream Duo." Owlet's Dream Duo page
Not ranked. Owlet Dream Sock is a sock sensor with no camera, so it is outside the ranking. The Infant Optics DXR-8 Full Kit is marked "Out of Stock" on its page, read November 4, 2026, about 10:03 CET, and is not counted.
Nanit vs Owlet: which costs less
Owlet's Dream Sight is the lower entry point at $99.99, and Nanit's Smart Baby Monitor + Flex Stand at $249.00 is the higher one. Neither needs a paid plan for the core view, so the two-year difference is the set price. Nanit's Insights plans are optional: Memories is $10 a month or $120 a year, and Milestones is $25 a month or $300 a year, both billed annually.
What the subscriptions cost over 12 and 24 months
Monthly and annual prices are read separately. Where a vendor prints only one, the other is marked as not printed. Renewal prices that are not printed are not costed.
| Plan | Monthly, as printed | Annual, as printed | 12 months | 24 months | Needed for core features? |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Nanit Memories (Insights) | $10 | $120 a year | $120 | $240 | No, optional |
| Nanit Milestones (Insights) | $25 | $300 a year | $300 | $600 | No, optional |
| Nanit Sleep Plan (trial) | $9 (product page) | Billed annually, no annual price printed | 3 months free; renewal not costed | Renewal not costed | No, optional |
| Owlet360 | $9.99 (Dream Sight page) | $99.99 a year, auto-renews | $119.88 monthly; $99.99 annual | $239.76 monthly; annual: $99.99 first year, renewal price not printed, not costed | No, optional |
Dupple data: computed from vendor prices on November 4, 2026. None of the nine ranked sets needs a plan, so each 24-month total is its set price, from $45.95 to $249.00.
Health and breathing features, as each vendor states them
Owlet's Dream Duo page says the Dream Sock "is the first baby monitor with FDA clearance to provide live pulse rate and oxygen readings for babies at home." (read November 4, 2026) That is Owlet's own statement; we did not check the FDA database. Nanit's memberships page FAQ lists "Breathing Motion Monitoring" (read November 4, 2026) among the core features of its set, as Nanit states them.

Methodology
We compared the baby monitors a US buyer can order today from the brand's own US store or product page: VTech, Hubble, Owlet, eufy, Infant Optics, CuboAi and Nanit. Every number comes from a vendor page or a vendor's store data read on November 4, 2026. VTech's collection page blocks automated reads, so we read its video product pages one by one. We did not use Amazon, review sites or memory for a number. No paid placement decides the order.
Each model is priced at the lowest US store price of its set as sold, at the price the product page shows for the product alone, with no discount code. Stands and mounts count only as the set includes them. The two-per-brand cap applies to numbered picks only.
