Updated November 3, 2026: prices re-checked on each vendor's US store or pricing page. Compared from vendor specs and pricing pages, not tested hands-on.

As of November 2026 on US stores, the Bambu Lab P2S is $449, the Creality K2 without CFS $399 and the Prusa CORE One+ kit $999. The P2S has the lowest 24-month total with 1 kg of PLA a month: $880.76, against $903.00 for the K2 and $1,622.76 for the Prusa. Pick the P2S for the lowest two-year cost. The K2 without CFS is cheaper for the first 12 months, $651.00 against $664.88. The Prusa kit's price is more than twice the P2S's, and its page gives a bed 10 °C hotter but no top speed.

Comparison card with three enclosed printers in ranking order: Bambu Lab P2S at $449, Creality K2 without CFS at $399, Prusa CORE One+ kit at $999, with 24-month totals in the table.

The three enclosed printers, ranked by 24-month cost

The order follows the 24-month total: the printer's price plus 24 spools of the same brand's PLA at one 1 kg spool a month. The rule is explained in the methodology below.

The three enclosed printers in ranking order, read on the US stores on November 3, 2026
Rank and printer Price (Nov 3, 2026) 24-month total with 1 kg PLA a month Build volume Max speed Warranty on the page
1. Bambu Lab P2S $449 alone; $649 Combo with AMS 2 Pro $880.76 256 x 256 x 256 mm 600 mm/s 2 years
2. Creality K2 (without CFS) $399; K2 Combo with CFS $549 $903.00 260 x 260 x 260 mm Up to 600 mm/s 1 year (header); "up to 12 months" badge
3. Prusa CORE One+ (Gen 2) kit $999 kit; assembled from $1,299 $1,622.76 (kit) 250 x 220 x 270 mm Not printed on the page No length printed; Black Friday panel offers 1 year extended

Each row is one enclosed model per brand. The entry models below sit in a lower price band and are priced for comparison, not ranked.

Entry printers: the price band under $550

Bambu Lab sells the cheapest printer of the six in this comparison. The A1 mini is $199 on its own and $299 with the AMS lite, where Bambu prints typical prices of $219 and $329 beside them. Creality's Ender-3 V3 KE is $279. Prusa's entry model is the MINI+ semi-assembled, Enclosure Bundle at $549, which is $350 more than the A1 mini and $270 more than the Ender-3 V3 KE.

Entry printers, US prices read November 3, 2026, with 24-month totals at 1 kg PLA a month
Printer Price 24-month total Build volume Max speed Max nozzle / bed
Bambu Lab A1 mini $199 alone; $299 with AMS lite $630.76 180 x 180 x 180 mm 500 mm/s 300 °C / 80 °C
Creality Ender-3 V3 KE $279 $783.00 Not in the page text 500 mm/s 300 °C (copper nozzle, Creality Lab test) / not printed
Prusa MINI+ semi-assembled, Enclosure Bundle $549 (buy box) $1,172.76 180 x 180 x 180 mm Not printed 280 °C / 100 °C

The A1 mini is not built to be enclosed: Bambu's own FAQ says it does not recommend enclosing it, and its material table lists ABS, ASA and PC as not recommended. Its 180 mm cube ties with the MINI+ for the smallest build volume in these tables. Creality prints its KE spec sheet as an image, so this table leaves out values we could not read as text.

The three enclosed printers, in ranking order

1. Bambu Lab P2S: the lowest 24-month cost

Dupple spec card for Bambu Lab P2S: $449 printer alone, 256 x 256 x 256 mm build, 600 mm/s, fully enclosed, 2-year warranty.
Dupple spec card

$449 for the P2S on its own, read November 3, 2026 on Bambu Lab's US store. The page prints a typical price of $549 beside it, under a Black Friday banner with no end date shown, so the P2S's first place depends on this price: at $549 its 24-month total would be $980.76, above the K2's $903.00. The AMS 2 Pro Combo is $649 on the same page, with a typical price of $749 beside it. We use the bare-printer price, because the other two brands' main prices are also without a multi-material unit.

The page prints a 256 x 256 x 256 mm build volume, a 600 mm/s toolhead speed, a 300 °C maximum nozzle and a 110 °C maximum heatbed. It has a fully enclosed chamber and a 2-year warranty. The AMS 2 Pro is the multi-material unit, and the Combo adds $200 over the bare printer.

  • The lowest 24-month total of the three enclosed printers, at $880.76.
  • A 2-year warranty, the longest term printed on any of the three store pages.

Cons: The heatbed tops out at 110 °C, 10 °C below the Prusa. Multi-material costs $200 more, so a multi-material setup starts at $649. The page does not name the motion system, so a buyer cannot check the kinematics from it.

Best for: a first enclosed printer for PLA and PETG, bought with the two-year cost in mind.

2. Creality K2 (without CFS): cheaper for a year, then not

Dupple spec card for Creality K2 without CFS: $399, 260 x 260 x 260 mm build, up to 600 mm/s with enclosed frame, 1-year warranty.
Dupple spec card

$399 for the K2 without its CFS unit, and $549 for the K2 Combo with CFS, both on Creality's US store on November 3, 2026. The store prints "Save $150.00" beside both prices; we do not read that as a list price.

The store page prints a 260 x 260 x 260 mm build volume, a speed of up to 600 mm/s and an enclosed rigid frame. The CFS unit gives 16 colors through four bays. The page names a step-servo motion system and does not name CoreXY.

  • The lowest price of the three enclosed printers, at $399 without CFS.
  • The K2 Combo adds the 16-color CFS unit for $150 more than the K2 without it.

Cons: The store prints a 1-year warranty in its header and "up to 12 months" in a trust badge, so the term is unclear. Its 24-month total is $22.24 above the P2S. The page prints no maximum nozzle or bed temperature.

Best for: a single-color buyer who expects to upgrade within two years, or who wants a 16-color option later through CFS.

3. Prusa CORE One+ (Gen 2) kit: the most expensive, with a named CoreXY frame

Dupple spec card for Prusa CORE One+ Gen 2 kit: from $999, 250 x 220 x 270 mm build, fully enclosed CoreXY, nozzle 290 °C and bed 120 °C.
Dupple spec card

From $999 for the kit and from $1,299 assembled, on Prusa's US store, read November 3, 2026, with import duties included as Prusa's US page states. The table uses the kit price, so the 24-month total is $1,622.76.

The page prints a 250 x 220 x 270 mm build volume, a fully enclosed CoreXY frame, a 290 °C maximum nozzle and a 120 °C maximum bed. It gives no top speed in mm/s. Its multi-material options are MMU3 (5 filaments, available now) and INDX (8 filaments, coming soon), and the page gives no price for either.

  • The highest printed bed temperature of the three, at 120 °C.
  • The page names its kinematics (CoreXY) and prints the build volume, nozzle and bed limits.

Cons: The kit costs $550 more than the P2S, and $742.00 more over 24 months. The page prints no maximum speed, and the kit needs assembly. The standard warranty length is not printed; only a Black Friday panel offers a free 1-year extended warranty.

Best for: a buyer who wants a 120 °C bed, a named CoreXY frame and a maker-friendly kit, and who accepts the price.

Bambu Lab vs Prusa

Bambu Lab's P2S is the cheaper of the two printers, and Prusa's CORE One+ kit costs $999. Both are fully enclosed. The Bambu prints a speed of 600 mm/s, while the Prusa prints none, and the Prusa has the hotter bed, 120 °C against 110 °C. For most buyers, the $550 price gap decides it.

Bambu Lab P2S against Prusa CORE One+ kit, from vendor pages read November 3, 2026
Spec Bambu Lab P2S Prusa CORE One+ kit
Price $449 $999 kit
24-month total $880.76 $1,622.76
Build volume 256 x 256 x 256 mm 250 x 220 x 270 mm
Max nozzle / bed 300 °C / 110 °C 290 °C / 120 °C

Verdict: Bambu wins on cost and on the speed figure it prints. Prusa wins on bed temperature and on the CoreXY detail it prints.

Bambu Lab vs Creality

The Bambu P2S and the Creality K2 without CFS are the closest pair on price, with the K2 $50 lower. The K2 is cheaper for the first 12 months by $13.88. Over 24 months the P2S is cheaper by $22.24, because the K2's spool costs $3.01 more a kilo ($21.00 against $17.99) and that gap adds up.

Bambu Lab P2S against Creality K2 without CFS, from vendor pages read November 3, 2026
Spec Bambu Lab P2S Creality K2 (no CFS)
Price $449 $399
24-month total $880.76 $903.00
Multi-material AMS 2 Pro in the $649 Combo CFS, 16 colors, in the $549 K2 Combo
Warranty printed 2 years 1 year (header)

Verdict: The P2S wins for a two-year budget and for the warranty term. The K2 wins for a one-year budget, and it wins if the 16-color CFS system matters more than the $22.24.

Which printer costs least over 24 months?

Dupple data: computed from vendor prices on November 3, 2026. The cost is the printer's price plus one 1 kg spool of the brand's PLA a month. For the P2S, the printer's price plus 24 spools at $17.99 is $449 + $431.76 = $880.76.

One 1 kg spool a month for 12 and 24 months, with each brand's PLA, US prices November 3, 2026
Printer Printer price PLA per 1 kg spool 12-month total 24-month total
Bambu Lab P2S $449 $17.99 (PLA Basic, with spool) $664.88 $880.76
Creality K2 (no CFS) $399 $21.00 (Hyper PLA RFID, sale price, Nov 3) $651.00 $903.00
Prusa CORE One+ kit $999 $25.99 (sale price, Nov 3) $1,310.88 $1,622.76
Bambu Lab A1 mini $199 $17.99 $414.88 $630.76
Creality Ender-3 V3 KE $279 $21.00 (sale price, Nov 3) $531.00 $783.00
Prusa MINI+ semi-assembled, Enclosure Bundle $549 $25.99 $860.88 $1,172.76

Creality's Hyper PLA RFID 1 kg was $21.00 on November 3, with $31.90 struck and "Save $10.90" printed. At $31.90 the K2 24-month total is $399 + 24 x $31.90 = $1,164.60, still second, and the Ender-3 V3 KE total is $279 + 24 x $31.90 = $1,044.60, still second among the entry models.

Prusament PLA Jet Black 1 kg was $25.99 on November 3, with $32.99 struck and a -21% badge during Prusa's Black Friday sale. At $32.99 the Prusa 24-month total is $999 + 24 x $32.99 = $1,790.76, still last.

The Bambu PLA Basic is $14.99 as a refill without a spool, and $17.99 with one. We use the with-spool price so that all three brands are priced with a spool.

Who should buy which

  • A first printer under $250 for PLA: the Bambu Lab A1 mini at $199. Bambu does not recommend enclosing it, and its 180 mm cube limits print size.
  • A first enclosed printer with a two-year budget: the Bambu Lab P2S, with the lowest 24-month total of $880.76.
  • A single-color buyer who may upgrade within a year: the Creality K2 without CFS. It is cheaper for 12 months, $651.00 against $664.88.
  • A buyer who wants a 120 °C bed and a named CoreXY frame: the Prusa CORE One+ kit at $999, which is $1,622.76 over 24 months. Against the K2 without CFS at $399, it costs $600 more and prints no top speed, where the K2 prints up to 600 mm/s.

FAQ

Which of these printers costs least over two years?

The Bambu Lab P2S, at $880.76 over 24 months: its base price plus 24 spools of Bambu PLA at $17.99 a month. The Creality K2 without CFS is $903.00 and the Prusa CORE One+ kit is $1,622.76 on the same basis.

Is the Creality K2 cheaper than the P2S for the first year?

Yes, by $13.88. Over 12 months the K2 without CFS costs $651.00 and the P2S costs $664.88. The P2S pulls ahead in the second year because Bambu's PLA spool costs less per kilo than Creality's.

Does the Bambu Lab P2S include multi-material?

Not on its own. The P2S is $449 alone, and the Combo with AMS 2 Pro is $649. The page's FAQ says the P2S connects to AMS 2 Pro and AMS HT units.

Why does the Prusa cost so much more?

The page does not explain the gap. Prusa's CORE One+ kit is $999, more than twice the P2S. The spec sheets show a 120 °C bed against 110 °C and a 290 °C nozzle against 300 °C, so the extra money does not buy a hotter nozzle.

Is the A1 mini enough for a beginner?

For PLA and PETG, yes, and it is the cheapest printer in this comparison at $199. Bambu's page says the A1 mini is not recommended for enclosing, and it lists ABS, ASA and PC as not recommended for it. Its 180 mm cube limits the size of a print.

Which warranty is longest?

Bambu's A1 mini and P2S pages both print a 2-year warranty. The Creality K2 page prints 1 year in its header. The Prusa page prints no standard length, only a Black Friday panel with a free 1-year extended warranty.

Are these prices final?

No. Bambu's store shows a Black Friday sale banner, and Prusa runs a Black Friday sale that includes up to 40% off Prusament filament, so prices can move. The prices here are the ones read on November 3, 2026.

Methodology

Reader and rule. The reader is buying a first enclosed printer for PLA and PETG and wants the full two-year cost. Each enclosed printer is ranked by its base price plus 24 spools of the same brand's PLA at one 1 kg spool a month. The order is set by that total and nothing else: the warranty and the specs do not change it. The entry printers are priced for the tier table and are not ranked.

Which models. One enclosed model per brand, plus one entry model per brand, so that each price band holds three printers. We left out other models in each range, such as the Bambu P1S and H2D, the Creality K2 Plus and the Prusa CORE One L+.

Where the numbers come from. Prices and specs come from each brand's own US store or pricing page, read on November 3, 2026. The Bambu and Creality store pages carry the product data in USD. Prusa's pages show USD and a US ship-to setting. Creality prints its KE spec sheet as an image, so this page uses only values printed in the text. Nothing here is tested hands-on: the page is compared from vendor specs and pricing pages.

Which price. Each table uses the price in the store's own product data, read on November 3, 2026. Where a spool is on sale, the table cell says so.
