The name says "consent," but Consentz has grown into a full clinic management platform for aesthetics practices, medspas, and plastic surgery clinics. Digital consent forms are still the foundation, but now there's scheduling, EHR, before/after photo management, invoicing, inventory, CRM, and marketing automations layered on top.

Based in Surrey, England, Consentz targets the aesthetics and cosmetic surgery market specifically. If you're a dermatologist doing Botox and fillers, or a medspa running multiple treatment rooms, this is built for your exact workflow.

Digital consent forms: This is still the strongest piece. Identity verification, audit trails, compliance records. When a patient disputes a treatment, you have a timestamped, verified consent record. That matters.

For solo practitioners doing a few treatments a week, the pricing may be hard to justify. A simpler booking tool plus basic consent forms might be enough.

How Consentz works

Consentz is clinic management software built for medical aesthetics practices: injectables, laser, skin and cosmetic clinics. Its own FAQ describes it as "clinic management software designed by an aesthetic doctor to record treatments, manage the day to day running of a clinical business and maintain and grow patient relationships." The company says it has been operating since 2012 and cites over 200+ clinics.

The product is delivered through two separate interfaces. The Consentz Medical App runs on Apple iPads and is what the practitioner uses chairside with the patient: photo capture, drawing and markup tools with colour and shading, dictated notes, treatment plans and consent signing. The Control Centre is browser-based and is where the business is run: calendar and practitioner, room and equipment scheduling, a prospect pipeline where you drag enquiries between stages and assign follow-ups to staff, a drag-and-drop email builder with scheduled multi-day or multi-week email and SMS automations, stock batch numbers, invoicing, and reports on appointments, treatments and billing.

Setup is mostly configuration inside the Control Centre. You upload a logo and background images, write clinic and clinician profiles, brand the patient app, build your own treatment list with default durations, upload price lists, medical record templates and consent forms, pre-set recurring consultation notes, and build questionnaires (multiple choice, 1-10 scale, yes/no). Signup is self-serve: you register, receive two emails with login details, then follow a guided account setup flow. Documentation lives in the "Consentz Academy" inside the Control Centre's Help tab, and support is a single email address, care@consentz.com. Billing can start on the iPad and be completed by an office staffer on desktop. Data is hosted on AWS, encrypted in transit (SSL) and at rest (AES-256), with Consentz and AWS both stating ISO 27001:2013 accreditation.

Where Consentz wins

• Consent and medico-legal record-keeping are the core, not an afterthought. There is a library of editable consent forms, highlight-and-initial signing, forms shared with the patient after signing, and an explicit tamper-evidence rule: once a medical record is archived it cannot be deleted, only edited indefinitely before archiving.
• The photography toolset is aesthetics-specific rather than generic file upload. A "ghosting" overlay lines up before and after shots precisely, drawing tools record quantities administered, a time and date-tagged carousel holds all of a patient's images, and a privacy toggle hides intimate photos.
• Documentation shortcuts are aimed at real clinic pace. Consultation notes are pre-populated per treatment, and you can keep editing one record across a whole day instead of creating several records for the same appointment.
• Front-of-house and growth tools sit in the same system: online booking from your site or Instagram, a waiting list that fills cancellations without phoning around, a "memory jog" for non-medical patient notes, plus email and SMS automation and a paid-ads module.
• Security posture is stated concretely (AWS, AES-256 at rest, SSL in transit, ISO 27001:2013 for both Consentz and AWS) rather than left vague.

Where it falls short

• No public pricing at all. The /pricing/ page resolves back to the homepage and no page lists a plan, tier, seat cost or per-clinician rate. You sign up for the trial or book a demo to learn what it costs.
• The practitioner-facing app is Apple iPad only. No Android or Windows tablet version is stated anywhere, so non-iPad clinics fall back to the browser Control Centre, which is built for business management rather than chairside use.
• No integrations are published. The site names no accounting, EHR, calendar, Zapier or API connection, and there is no developer documentation. Treat it as a closed all-in-one until sales confirms otherwise.
• Support is thin and asynchronous: a single care@ email address plus self-serve guides in the Academy. No live chat, ticket portal or stated response times.
• Strongly UK-centric. UK phone number first, accreditation directory built around CQC, HIS, HIW, JCCP, RQIA and Save Face. A US number exists, but there is no published HIPAA compliance statement or US-specific compliance tooling.
• Small installed base (over 200+ clinics), so ecosystem, third-party expertise and hiring for the tool are limited next to Zenoti, Pabau or Boulevard.

Who should use Consentz

Small to mid-size UK aesthetics and cosmetic clinics where consent documentation, clinical photography and medico-legal defensibility are the actual pain, and where practitioners already work on iPads. It suits an owner-operator or a few-chair clinic that wants booking, notes, consent, stock, billing and marketing in one place rather than stitched together from separate tools.

Skip it if you need Android or Windows chairside devices, if you require published pricing before a sales call, if you depend on integrations with an existing accounting or EHR stack, or if you are a US practice that needs an explicit HIPAA commitment. Non-aesthetic medical practices are outside its design entirely.
