The six robots at a glance

The order below is the ranking used in the answer, the cards and the head-to-head sections. Prices are the US store prices read on November 3, 2026. Runtime and coverage are the vendor's own figures, and the vendors measure them differently, so read them as claims.

The six robots, in ranking order

The ranking follows the rule in the methodology: surfaces covered, then stated coverage area, then price; equal areas are a tie, so the lower price goes first. Each card gives the figures that decided its place, then the price and the trade-offs.

1. Beatbot Sora 10: the lowest price, with the same 300 m² claim at $469

Dupple spec card for Beatbot Sora 10: $469 (list $699, Nov 3, 2026), up to 3,229 sq ft per charge, 6,800 GPH and 5 L basket, 2-year warranty.
Dupple spec card

$469.00 on Beatbot's US store, read November 3, 2026. The page labels that price a limited-time offer against a $699.00 list price. The store's product data prices the Deep Blue finish at $699.00, so the $469 price applies to the Mint Green finish.

The page's specs give up to 5 hours of floor cleaning, and its FAQ gives 4 hours with walls and waterline. It also gives a 7,800 mAh battery that it says covers up to 3,229 sq ft per charge, a 6,800 GPH suction rating and a 5 L debris basket. It cleans the floor, walls, waterline and shallow areas down to 12 inches, and it has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth app control.

  • The cheapest cordless robot in this set, with a 2-year warranty.
  • A 5 L basket, against 3.5 L on the Scuba V3 and, per the V3 page's comparison table, the Scuba S1.
  • Works with above-ground and in-ground pools, according to its page.

Cons: Its runtime depends on the job: 5 hours on the floor and 4 hours with walls and waterline. The 7,800 mAh battery figure is not a runtime. The robot weighs 18.74 lb, against 17 lb for the Aiper S1 per the V3 page's comparison table.

Best for: a budget buyer with a pool of a few thousand square feet who can plan around 4 to 5 hours of cleaning per charge.

2. Beatbot Sora 30: up to five hours on the floor, 300 m² (3,230 sq ft) for $999

Dupple spec card for Beatbot Sora 30: $999 (Nov 3, 2026), floor up to 5 hours, up to 3,230 sq ft, 2-year warranty.
Dupple spec card

$999.00 on Beatbot's US store, read November 3, 2026. The page shows no list price or sale, so there is no discount to report. The 10,000 mAh battery charges in about 4.5 hours with 65 W charging.

The page gives up to 5 hours of floor cleaning and a maximum coverage of 300 m² (3,230 sq ft). It cleans the floor, shallow areas, walls and waterline, works in water as shallow as 8 inches, and has a 5.2 L filter basket with a 150-micron filter. The robot weighs 19.6 lb and carries an IPX68 rating.

  • Up to five hours on the floor, the same as the Sora 10.
  • The same 300 m² (3,230 sq ft) maximum coverage as the Sora 10.
  • A 5.2 L basket, larger than the 5 L on the Sora 10 and the 3.5 L on the Scuba V3.

Cons: It costs $530 more than the Sora 10 and $99.01 more than the Scuba V3. At 19.6 lb it is the heaviest of the six weights in this table.

Best for: a large pool where the robot needs to run a full floor session on one charge.

3. Wybot C2: a stated runtime and coverage for under $500

$499.99 on Wybot's US store, against a list price of $699.99, read November 3, 2026. The product page gives up to 180 minutes of runtime in Eco mode and coverage of up to 2,152 sq ft for floors, walls and waterlines.

The C2 has a brushless motor and a 180-micron cartridge with a 10-micron ultra-fine filter. It offers seven cleaning modes, app scheduling of up to four cleanings a week, and self-parking.

  • A stated runtime and a stated coverage figure for under $500.
  • App scheduling and self-parking on the same robot.
  • A 2-year warranty, the same as four of the other five.

Cons: The 180 minutes applies to Eco mode only. Its 2,152 sq ft coverage claim is well below the 300 m² (3,229 sq ft) claimed for the Sora 10.

Best for: a buyer with a pool up to about 2,000 sq ft who wants 180 minutes of Eco runtime for under $500.

4. Aiper Scuba V3: AI navigation and waterline cleaning for $899.99

Dupple spec card for Aiper Scuba V3: $899.99 (list $1,099.99, Nov 3, 2026), 180 min and 210 min in ECO, 1,614 sq ft pool, 2-year warranty.
Dupple spec card

$899.99 on Aiper's US store, against a list price of $1,099.99, read November 3, 2026. The product page calls it an inground robot.

The V3 has a cognitive AI navigation mode and VisionPath path planning, plus JetAssist horizontal waterline cleaning and a MicroMesh ultra-fine filter. The page gives 180 minutes of runtime, 210 minutes in ECO mode, a 5-hour charge, 4,800 GPH suction, a 3.5 L basket, 18.2 lb weight and a 1,614 sq ft pool rating.

  • AI navigation, VisionPath planning and waterline cleaning on one page.
  • A $200 saving on the list price, and a 2-year warranty.
  • A stated 210-minute ECO runtime.

Cons: Its 1,614 sq ft pool rating is about half the Sora 30's 3,230 sq ft maximum, for $99 less. The 5-hour charge is longer than the 4.5 hours on the Sora 30 and the 3 to 4 hours on the S1 (per the V3 page's comparison table). The 3.5 L basket is smaller than the 5 L on the Sora 10 and the 5.2 L on the Sora 30.

Best for: an inground pool up to about 1,600 sq ft where AI path planning matters more than basket size.

Aiper Scuba V3 on Aiper's US store

5. Aiper Scuba S1 (2026): a 1,600 sq ft pool rating at $529.99

Dupple spec card for Aiper Scuba S1 (2026): $529.99 (list $699.99, Nov 3, 2026), 1,600 sq ft pool and 180 min standard (both per the V3 page's comparison table), 270 min per the S1 page.
Dupple spec card

$529.99 on Aiper's US store, against a list price of $699.99, read November 3, 2026. The S1 page's headline gives 270 minutes of runtime. Runtime: 180 min standard (V3 page's comparison table); 270 min per the S1 page.

The S1 is rated for a 1,600 sq ft pool (50 ft long), per the V3 page's comparison table. It has dual-path navigation, over-the-waterline scrubbing and two filter stages: a standard 180-micron basket and a replaceable 3-micron ultra-fine filter. The V3 page's comparison table lists the S1 at 17 lb, 4,200 GPH suction, a 3.5 L basket and a 3 to 4 hour charge. The S1 page lists a 2-year warranty.

  • A stated pool size and a stated runtime for about $530.
  • Over-the-waterline scrubbing and OTA app updates.
  • A 2-year warranty from the date of purchase.

Cons: The S1 page headline says 270 minutes of runtime, while the V3 page's comparison table gives 180 minutes standard and 240 in ECO for the S1. Its 1,600 sq ft rating is the lowest area figure of the five cards that give one. The page says the robot is for in-ground pools.

Best for: an in-ground pool up to 1,600 sq ft where app control and a stated runtime matter more than the biggest coverage claim.

6. Dolphin Liberty 400: a 3-year warranty from Maytronics

Dupple spec card for Dolphin Liberty 400: $1,549 (Nov 3, 2026), 2.5 h default cycle (not runtime), 33 ft max pool length, 3-year warranty.
Dupple spec card

$1,549.00, read November 3, 2026: the price is printed on Maytronics' US page, but that page routes buyers to local dealers ("Buy Local") and shows no add-to-cart button. The page prints no list price. The page's title calls it a cordless pool robot.

The page lists a 2.5-hour default cycle time (not a runtime), a maximum pool length of 33 ft, cleaning of the floor, walls and waterline, a 3-year warranty and 17.86 lb weight. It includes an ultra-fine filter kit in the box, a combined filter kit, and the MyDolphin Plus app.

  • The only robot in this set with a 3-year warranty.
  • Sold under the Dolphin name by Maytronics, which makes the line.
  • Waterline scrubbing, listed as a feature on the page.

Cons: The 2.5 hours is a default cycle, not a runtime, so it cannot be set against the other robots' runtimes. It costs $1,019.01 more than the Aiper S1, and its pool rating is a length (33 ft), not an area, so it cannot be set against the sq ft figures.

Best for: a buyer who wants the longest warranty and the Maytronics name, and accepts a higher price.

Aiper vs Beatbot

The Sora 10 beats the Scuba S1 on price, $60.99 less, and its coverage claim is 1,629 sq ft higher, though the two figures are measured differently.

The Sora 30 gives five hours of floor cleaning and a 300 m² (3,230 sq ft) maximum at $999. The Scuba V3 costs $99.01 less and adds AI path planning, with a 1,614 sq ft pool rating.

Aiper vs Beatbot: the matched pairs on the vendors' own figures (Nov 3, 2026)
Product Price Coverage claim Runtime
Beatbot Sora 10 $469.00 300 m² (3,229 sq ft per charge) Up to 5 hours (floor); 4 hours with walls and waterline
Beatbot Sora 30 $999.00 300 m² (3,230 sq ft) Up to 5 hours (floor)
Aiper Scuba V3 $899.99 1,614 sq ft pool 180 min; 210 min in ECO
Aiper Scuba S1 (2026) $529.99 1,600 sq ft pool (V3 page's comparison table) 180 min standard (V3 page's comparison table); 270 min per S1 page

Verdict: the Sora 10 for the lowest price at the same 300 m² claim, the Sora 30 for its 5.2 L basket and 10,000 mAh battery.

Aiper vs Dolphin

The Dolphin Liberty 400 costs $1,019.01 more than the Scuba S1. Its page gives a 3-year warranty, one year longer than the S1's 2 years. The S1 states a 1,600 sq ft pool rating (per the V3 page's comparison table) against a 33 ft pool length for the Liberty, which is a different measure. The Liberty's 2.5-hour figure is a default cycle, not a runtime.

On the printed specs, the Liberty 400 has the warranty edge and the Maytronics name. The S1 wins on price and on a stated area. Buy the Liberty if the third warranty year is worth more than $1,000 to you; otherwise the S1 fits a pool of up to 1,600 sq ft at a third of the price.

Verdict: the S1 on price and a stated area, the Liberty 400 for the warranty and the Maytronics name.

Beatbot vs Dolphin

The Sora 30 costs $550 less than the Liberty 400, runs up to five hours on the floor against the Liberty's 2.5-hour default cycle, and states a 300 m² (3,230 sq ft) maximum. The Liberty has the 3-year warranty and the lighter build, at 17.86 lb against 19.6 lb.

Verdict: the Sora 30 for coverage and floor time at a lower price, the Liberty 400 for the warranty.

What does it cost over 24 months?

None of the six product pages we read lists a recurring fee or a plan for the robot, so the cost over 24 months is the price on the day you buy. The one-time extras we read are spare filters: Aiper's filter set for the Scuba S1 and the Scuba V3 at $49.99 each, and Beatbot's dual filter basket for the Sora 30 at $59.99. Like the cameras in our no-subscription security camera guide, these robots carry no monthly fee on the pages we read.

Robot plus one spare part from the same store, read November 3, 2026
Setup Robot Spare part Total at purchase
Aiper Scuba S1 (2026) $529.99 $49.99 filter set $579.98
Aiper Scuba V3 $899.99 $49.99 filter set $949.98
Beatbot Sora 30 $999.00 $59.99 dual filter basket $1,058.99

The table adds one spare part to each robot and does not model replacement schedules. Dupple data: computed from vendor prices and coverage claims on November 3, 2026. Price per claimed sq ft: Sora 10 $0.15, Wybot C2 $0.23, Sora 30 $0.31, Scuba S1 $0.33, Scuba V3 $0.56. The vendors measure coverage differently (per charge, maximum area, pool rating), so treat it as a rough index, not a like-for-like test.

FAQ

What is the cheapest cordless pool robot in this comparison?

The Beatbot Sora 10 at $469.00 on Beatbot's US store, read November 3, 2026, against a list price of $699.00. The page labels that price a limited-time offer, and the $469 price applies to the Mint Green finish.

Does any of these robots need a subscription?

None of the product pages we read lists a plan or a monthly fee for the robot. The only extras are spare filters and accessories, bought once.

Which one covers the largest pool?

The Sora 10 and Sora 30 both state 300 m² (3,229 and 3,230 sq ft on their pages), the largest of the six. The Liberty 400 gives a maximum pool length of 33 ft instead of an area, so it cannot be ranked on this figure.

Which robot has the longest warranty?

The Dolphin Liberty 400, with 3 years. The other five robots list a 2-year warranty on their pages.

Which robot gives a stated runtime for less than $500?

The Beatbot Sora 10 ($469, up to 5 hours on the floor) and the Wybot C2 ($499.99, 180 min in Eco mode). See the Wybot C2 on Wybot's US store.

Which of these work in an above-ground pool?

The Sora 10, the Sora 30, the Wybot C2 and the Liberty 400 list both above-ground and in-ground pools on their pages. The Aiper Scuba S1 and V3 pages say they are for in-ground pools, so check that before buying an S1 or V3 for an above-ground pool.

Methodology

We compared six cordless pool robots: the Beatbot Sora 10 and Sora 30, the Wybot C2, the Aiper Scuba S1 and V3, and the Dolphin Liberty 400. Each price was read on the brand's US store, or on Maytronics' US store for the Liberty 400, on November 3, 2026, with USD as the currency. Where a store printed a sale price, the card shows the sale price and the list price. The Liberty 400's price is printed on Maytronics' US page, but that page routes buyers to local dealers ("Buy Local") and shows no add-to-cart button, so we report the printed price, not a purchase path. The Dolphin Escape is left out for the same reason: its US page sends the buyer to a certified dealer site.

The order follows one rule, applied to the figures on this page, in this sequence: 1. surfaces covered (floor, walls, waterline, surface skimming); 2. stated coverage area in sq ft; 3. price. Every robot here states floor, walls and waterline, and none states surface skimming, so the surface count is three for all six. The stated area then decides: the Sora 10 and Sora 30 both state 300 m² (3,229 and 3,230 sq ft on their pages, a conversion rounding), so they tie on area. Price breaks the tie: Sora 10 $469, then Sora 30 $999. Then Wybot C2 2,152, Scuba V3 1,614, Scuba S1 1,600. The Liberty 400 states no area (a 33 ft maximum pool length), so it ranks last. The vendors measure coverage differently, so the order is a rule applied to their claims, not a test result.

No robot here was tested hands-on. Every figure comes from the vendor's own store, product or specification page, not from marketplace listings, review sites or older prices. Where a figure comes from another page of the same vendor, such as the S1 figures from the V3 page's comparison table, the card says so.
