What Whacka Actually Is
Whacka is an AI app builder that turns a plain-language description into a fully working, hosted application. You type a sentence describing what you want to exist, and it generates and deploys a real app that includes a database, working logins, and its own web address, with no coding required at any step.
The product compresses its promise into three words on the homepage: say it, ship it, use it. What sets it apart from the wave of prototype generators is that the result is a live product rather than a clickable mockup. The app runs on infrastructure that Whacka operates for you, which is why the tagline reads "you own it, we run it."
Try Whacka Get started →One Sentence In, A Working App Out
The single most distinctive thing about Whacka is that you build entirely from chat. You describe the app you have in mind, in ordinary language, and the platform assembles a functioning version of it that goes live in minutes. There is no canvas to drag components onto, no schema to define by hand, and no deployment step to configure yourself.
The important detail is what "working" means here. The generated app ships with a real database rather than fake sample data, real authentication so people can create accounts and sign in, and live syncing so changes appear across sessions and devices. Each app is published at its own address, so you can share a link the moment it exists and start using it for real.
That distinction matters because many AI builders stop at a screenshot or a static front end that looks convincing but cannot store anything or handle a second user. Whacka treats the full stack as the deliverable, which means the sentence you type behaves more like a specification for a product than a prompt for a picture. You refine the app by continuing the conversation, describing what should change, rather than opening a code editor.
What Else It Does
A Real Backend, Included
Every app comes with the plumbing that usually takes the longest to wire up. A database stores your records, user accounts and logins work out of the box, file uploads are supported, and data syncs live between users. Because Whacka hosts the result, you do not touch servers, connection strings, or environment configuration to get any of this running.
AI Built Into What You Ship
Beyond using AI to build the app, Whacka can place AI features inside the app you create. That means the products you generate can carry their own intelligent behavior rather than being static data-entry screens, which is useful when the thing you are building is meant to summarize, classify, or respond to what users type in.
Money, Members, And Bookings
The feature set leans toward apps people actually transact with. Payments are ready to accept, membership and team accounts let you gate access and organize users, and booking flows are supported for anything schedule-driven. Together these cover a large share of the small business and community apps that most people want to spin up quickly.
Notifications And Installable Apps
Apps can send push notifications and scheduled reminders, so they reach users after the tab is closed. Each one installs to the home screen and runs on both desktop and mobile, and on higher tiers Whacka produces native Android and iOS builds that can be shipped to the app stores under your own name.
Pricing
Whacka runs on a credit model layered on top of a genuinely free tier, so the cost tracks how much you build rather than a flat seat fee. Credits are consumed as you generate and change apps, and the plans differ in how many credits you get, how long your apps stay live, and how much data they can hold. Every paid tier below is priced at its annual rate.
The Free plan costs nothing and needs no card. It grants 8 credits per day, hosts your app on a Whacka subdomain, and includes the database, storage, push, and authentication features, with a ceiling of 10,000 records and 500MB of storage. The one catch is that apps built on the free tier stay online for 14 days after you publish them, so it is best read as a place to experiment rather than to run something permanently.
Paid plans remove the expiry and raise every limit:
- Weekly, $3 per week: 50 credits per week, no daily cap, and credits that do not reset each day. Cancel any week.
- Starter, $8 per month billed annually: 200 credits per month that pool, a custom subdomain, apps that stay live while you subscribe, 100,000 records, and 5GB of storage.
- Pro, $32 per month billed annually: 800 credits per month, native Android and iOS apps, app store shipping, no Whacka branding, a custom domain, private apps, code export, 500,000 records, and 20GB of storage. This is the tier Whacka marks as recommended.
- Ultra, $96 per month billed annually: 2,500 credits per month, a custom SLA, a signed DPA, security monitoring, dedicated infrastructure, email support, 2 million records, and 100GB of storage.
If you run out between renewals, credit top-ups are sold separately at 100 credits for $12 and 500 credits for $55, and they stay valid for 12 months. You can also earn credits without paying: referring a friend who signs up adds 10 credits, and traffic to your published apps can return up to 100 credits. That structure keeps the entry point at zero cost while letting heavy builders scale spending in line with usage.
Who It Is For
Whacka is aimed at people who have a clear idea and no interest in learning to code it. Founders testing a concept, operators who need an internal tool by the end of the day, community organizers, and side-project builders all fit the profile, because the payoff is a shareable, working app rather than a design file to hand to a developer.
It is a weaker fit if you already have an engineering team and a codebase, or if your app depends on deep third-party integrations and custom logic that a description cannot fully capture. The code export on Pro and above softens that concern, since you are not permanently locked into the platform, but the sweet spot remains speed for non-technical builders. If getting a real, hosted app in front of users this afternoon matters more than owning every layer of the stack, Whacka is built for exactly that, and the free tier makes it cheap to find out whether the fit is right.
Do I need to know how to code to use Whacka?
No. You describe the app in plain language and Whacka builds and deploys it for you, including the database, logins, and hosting. Coding knowledge is not required at any point, though the Pro and Ultra plans let you export the code if you want it.
Is there a free plan?
Yes. The Free plan costs nothing, needs no card, and gives you 8 credits per day with up to 10,000 records and 500MB of storage. The main limitation is that apps built on it stay online for 14 days after publishing.
What are credits and how do they work?
Credits are the unit Whacka spends when you generate or change an app. Each plan includes a weekly or monthly allotment (50 per week on Weekly, 200 per month on Starter, 800 on Pro, 2,500 on Ultra), and you can buy top-ups at 100 credits for $12 or 500 for $55, valid for 12 months.
Can Whacka apps accept payments and send notifications?
Yes. Payments, memberships, and team accounts are built in, as are push notifications and scheduled reminders, so the apps you create can charge users and reach them after they close the tab.
Can I publish to the App Store and use my own domain?
On the Pro plan and above, Whacka produces native Android and iOS builds you can ship to the app stores, removes Whacka branding, and supports a custom domain and private apps. The Free and Weekly tiers host apps on a Whacka subdomain instead.
