Updated November 4, 2026: prices re-checked on each vendor's US store or pricing page. Compared from vendor specs and pricing pages, not tested hands-on.
The three top portable projectors as of November 2026 are the JMGO PicoFlix at $349 (4.5-hour battery, native Netflix), the XGIMI MoGo 4 at $479 (2.5-hour battery) and the XGIMI MoGo 4 Laser at $669 (2.5-hour battery, 550 ISO lumens). The order uses the stores' current prices: the PicoFlix shows a struck-through $599 under a "BFCM Starts Early!" banner with no end date, and at $599 it would drop from first to second, behind the MoGo 4 at $479.

Portable here means a projector whose own page states a battery that runs it, so the ranking covers battery models only. Plug-in compact models are named after the list, outside the ranking, and the two home theater models get their own section.
Dupple data: computed from vendor prices on November 4, 2026. Among the four battery models that print ISO lumens, the PicoFlix costs about 83 cents per ISO lumen, the MoGo 4 about $1.06 and the MoGo 4 Laser about $1.22.
The eight portable projectors at a glance
The table lists all eight battery models in ranking order, with each vendor's own battery figure and the power mode it names.
| Product | Score (of 4) | US price, Nov 4 | Battery (video) | Brightness (as printed) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| JMGO PicoFlix | 4 | $349 | 4.5 h, Power Save | 420 ISO |
| XGIMI MoGo 4 | 4 | $479 | 2.5 h, Eco | 450 ISO |
| XGIMI MoGo 4 Laser | 4 | $669 | 2.5 h, Eco | 550 ISO |
| Anker Nebula Capsule 3 | 3 | $399.99 (sale) | 2.5 h, Eco | 200 ANSI |
| Anker Nebula Mars 3 Air | 3 | $519.99 (sale) | 2.5 h, Eco | 400 ANSI |
| Anker Nebula Capsule 3 Laser | 3 | $649.99 (sale) | 2.5 h, built-in 52 Wh | 300 ANSI |
| XGIMI Vibe One (Battery Powered) | 2 | $249 | 1.2 h, Eco | 250 ISO |
| Nebula Mars 3 | 2 | $899.99 (sale) | 5 h, Eco | 1000 ANSI |
The score comes from the four-point rule in the methodology. The PicoFlix, MoGo 4 and MoGo 4 Laser score four. The Capsule 3, Mars 3 Air and Capsule 3 Laser score three, in price order. The Vibe One and the Mars 3 score two, the Vibe One first on its lower price.

2. XGIMI MoGo 4: best for battery use with a stand that adds runtime

3. XGIMI MoGo 4 Laser: best for the highest ISO rating on battery
$669 on XGIMI's US store, read November 4, 2026. Of the four battery models that print ISO lumens, it has the highest rating.
The MoGo 4 Laser keeps the MoGo 4's 71.28 Wh battery and 2.5 hours in Eco mode, and adds triple laser light rated at 550 ISO lumens with a 1000:1 contrast ratio. Netflix, auto focus, auto keystone and the two 6 W speakers match the MoGo 4. It weighs 1.32 kg (2.9 lb).
Pros

- Built-in battery, licensed Netflix and auto focus with auto keystone.

4. Anker Nebula Capsule 3: best for a small room on battery at a sale price
$399.99 sale price on Anker's US collection page, read November 4, 2026. Anker's product page shows the same $399.99, with $529.99 struck through and a "$130 OFF" badge, and neither page gives an end date. Best for a bedroom or a desk.

Pros
- The lightest of the eight models at 0.85 kg, on the page's own weight figure.
- Auto focus and auto keystone correction are both stated.
Cons
- 200 ANSI lumens is a unit the ranking does not count as ISO, so it earns no brightness point.
- The 2.5 hours is the Eco-mode figure, and the page names no capacity.

5. Anker Nebula Mars 3 Air: best for built-in Netflix on a battery

The page names officially licensed Netflix on Android TV 11.0, with auto focus and auto keystone correction. Its weight is printed as 950 g in the specs and 900 g in the bullets, so this page uses 950 g.
Pros
- Built-in 52 Wh battery, with the 2.5-hour playtime stated next to it.
- Licensed Netflix, auto focus and auto keystone, all on the page.
Cons
- Its 300 ANSI lumens earns no brightness point under the ranking rule.

Cons
- 1.2 hours of video is the shortest runtime here, about a quarter of the PicoFlix figure.

XGIMI's Vibe One page is at us.xgimi.com/products/vibe-one-battery-powered.
8. Nebula Mars 3: best for outdoor movie nights with a long battery run
$899.99 sale price on Anker's US collection page, read November 4, 2026. The product page shows the same $899.99, with $1,049.99 struck through and a "$150 OFF" badge, and neither page gives an end date. Best for outdoor movie nights away from a socket.

Pros
- 5 hours rated in Eco mode, the longest runtime on this list.

Anker's Mars 3 page is at soundcore.com/products/d2333-mars-3.
Plug-in compact models, outside the ranking
These compact models name no battery on their pages, so they are not ranked. The XGIMI MoGo 2 Pro (New) is $359 on XGIMI's US store, with 430 ISO lumens and Google TV with Netflix access. The XGIMI Elfin Flip Plus is $399 with 500 ISO lumens and the Elfin Flip Laser is $749 with 1,600 ISO lumens, both with Netflix named. The JMGO N1S 4K is $799 with 1,700 ISO lumens, and the JMGO PicoPlay is $269 with 400 ISO lumens, and it runs from a power bank or tripod sold separately. The Anker Nebula P1 is $699 and the P1i is $299 on Anker's collection page (sale prices), rated at 650 and 380 ANSI lumens. Dupple data: on ISO figures the Elfin Flip Laser and the N1S 4K cost about $0.47 per ISO lumen each, but both need a socket.
Which is cheapest per ISO lumen?
Only the four battery models that print ISO lumens are in this table. The formula is the US price divided by the ISO lumens the vendor's page prints.
| Product | US price | ISO lumens (vendor) | Price per ISO lumen |
|---|---|---|---|
| JMGO PicoFlix | $349 | 420 | $0.83 |
| XGIMI Vibe One (Battery Powered) | $249 | 250 | $1.00 |
| XGIMI MoGo 4 | $479 | 450 | $1.06 |
| XGIMI MoGo 4 Laser | $669 | 550 | $1.22 |
Among these, the PicoFlix is cheapest per lumen at $0.83. It also gives the most rated hours per dollar of the eight, about $77.56 for each hour of video ($349 divided by 4.5).
Do these projectors cost more to run?
None of the eight battery pages names a projector subscription, and none needs a streaming stick on the vendor's own description. The PowerBase Stand is the one accessory priced here, as it changes the runtime figure.
| Setup | Projector US price | Extra needed | Total |
|---|---|---|---|
| JMGO PicoFlix, on its battery | $349 | None | $349 |
| XGIMI MoGo 4 with PowerBase Stand | $519 | None, the stand is in the bundle | $519 |
| Anker Nebula Capsule 3, on its battery (sale price) | $399.99 | None | $399.99 |
| Anker Nebula Mars 3 Air, on its battery (sale price) | $519.99 | None | $519.99 |
For outdoor movie nights, the battery runs the picture, and a longer session needs a separate power source. If you want a power station, our Anker SOLIX vs Jackery vs EcoFlow comparison ranks three brands by price per Wh.
For a home theater, not a portable: AWOL Vision LTV-3000 Pro and Valerion StreamMaster Plus 2
If you want a fixed home theater projector, these two are the models this page read on their US store pages. Neither is ranked above, because neither is built to carry from room to room.
The AWOL Vision LTV-3000 Pro is listed at $1,699 for the projector alone on awolvision.com, read November 4, 2026. The page describes a 4K 3D triple laser projector with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos. The product page is at awolvision.com/products/4k-3d-triple-laser-projector-ltv-3000pro.
The Valerion StreamMaster Plus 2 is listed at $1,199 USD on valerion.com, read November 4, 2026. This page uses the $1,199 figure, not the $1,999 struck through beside it. The page describes a 4K RGB triple laser projector. The product page is at valerion.com/product/valerion-streammaster-plus2-plus-4k-rgb-triple-laser-projector.

FAQ
Which portable projector runs longest on battery?
The Anker Nebula Mars 3 runs longest on this list, at 5 hours in Eco mode, as Anker states. The JMGO PicoFlix is next at up to 4.5 hours in Power Save Mode. These are the vendors' own figures, and Dupple measured none of them.
Do any of these need a separate streaming stick for Netflix?
No. Seven of the eight pages name Netflix as built in or licensed. The Mars 3 page explains how to install Netflix through the Nebula Play app. You still need your own Netflix subscription, paid to Netflix.
Are ISO lumens the same as ANSI lumens?
No. They are different measuring standards, so a figure in one should not be compared with a figure in the other. The four Anker models print ANSI lumens only, so they earn no brightness point and are left out of the per-lumen table.
Can a portable projector work outdoors in daylight?
Not well. The eight battery models are rated from 200 to 1000 lumens across both standards, and sunlight washes out most of that range. Use them after dark or in deep shade.
Is there a subscription to pay for any of these?
No projector subscription appears on the eight battery product pages. Netflix is a separate subscription, paid to Netflix.
Why is the XGIMI Halo+ not on this list?
On November 4, 2026 the XGIMI US store showed the Halo+ and the Halo+ (New) as out of stock, and the MoGo 3 Pro too. This page ranks only models a buyer can order that day.
Methodology
Sources and dates. Each price and stock status came from the vendor's own US store on November 4, 2026, read between about 00:00 and 00:40 CET. JMGO and XGIMI prices come from their Shopify product records with the US storefront setting, and their product pages give the specs. Anker prices come from its US collection page and product pages on soundcore.com, with the United States selected. All prices are in USD, and none is converted.
What was compared. The eight battery models in stock on those stores, and the plug-in models named above. Portable means the vendor's page states a battery that runs the projector.
The ranking rule. Each battery model scores one point for each of four facts its own US page states: (1) a battery rated at 2 hours or more of video; (2) Netflix named as built in or officially licensed; (3) auto focus and auto keystone both stated; (4) at least 400 ISO lumens. ANSI lumens never count as ISO, so an ANSI figure earns no point on (4), whatever its value. The highest score ranks first, and within a score the lower US price ranks first. The scores are PicoFlix 4, MoGo 4 4, MoGo 4 Laser 4, Capsule 3 3, Mars 3 Air 3, Capsule 3 Laser 3, Vibe One 2 and Mars 3 2. Brightness above 400 ISO lumens earns no extra point.
Sale prices. Anker's collection page shows $399.99, $519.99, $649.99 and $899.99 for four models, and its product pages show the same sale prices with $529.99, $599.99, $749.99 and $1,049.99 struck through. Neither page gives an end date, and Anker does not label either figure a list price. The order is the same at either set of prices.
No paid placement decides the order. The PicoFlix ranks first on its own score and price, and the Mars 3 ranks last on its own score and price. The XGIMI, Anker, AWOL Vision and Valerion links are plain official links.
Left out. The XGIMI Halo+ and MoGo 3 Pro were out of stock on the XGIMI US store on November 4, 2026. Epson's EpiqVision Mini EF12 is marked discontinued on epson.com, with no price shown. Valerion's US listings we read are all plug-in home theater models.
Brightness. ISO and ANSI figures are each vendor's own, and we did not check how each brand measures them. ANSI figures are not converted.
