TP-Link Deco vs eero (2026): Three Matched Tiers With Prices and Subscription Costs

Disclosure: Dupple has no affiliate program with TP-Link or eero, so no link on this page earns a commission. Rankings follow the criteria in the methodology.

Updated November 3, 2026: prices re-checked on each vendor's US store or pricing page. Compared from vendor specs and pricing pages, not tested hands-on.

As of November 2026, the TP-Link Deco is cheaper than eero in each of three matched tiers. A Deco XE75 3-pack is $229.99 against $299.99 for an eero 6+ 3-pack, a Deco BE63 is $396.99 against $399.99 for an eero 7, and a Deco BE67 is $499.99 against $1,699.99 for an eero Max 7. eero's Wi-Fi 7 models carry a 3-year warranty against 2 years for Deco, and eero claims a Thread smart-home hub that the Deco pages do not mention.

Comparison card for TP-Link Deco vs eero in three tiers: entry Deco XE75 at $229.99 against eero 6+ at $299.99, mid Deco BE63 at $396.99 against eero 7 at $399.99, flagship Deco BE67 at $499.99 against eero Max 7 at $1,699.99.
Our own card: the three matched pairs, 3-pack US prices read November 3, 2026.

How the six are ranked

Each tier pairs one Deco with one eero. The entry tier is the Wi-Fi 6 or 6E 3-pack each brand sells on its own US store. The mid tier is the Wi-Fi 7 3-pack priced nearest $400 on each store. The flagship tier is the highest-priced Wi-Fi 7 3-pack each brand sells on its own US store.

The order is tier first, then 3-pack device price, cheaper first. Subscriptions do not change the order, because neither system needs one for basic use. They are costed separately below.

The six mesh systems, in ranking order

1. TP-Link Deco XE75: the lowest 3-pack price of the six, on Wi-Fi 6E

Dupple spec card for TP-Link Deco XE75 3-pack: $229.99, Wi-Fi 6E tri-band, up to 7,200 sq ft, 3 Gigabit ports per unit.
Dupple spec card

$229.99 for the 3-pack on TP-Link's US store, read November 3, 2026. The store shows a regular $349.99 beside it. It is the only Wi-Fi 6E system of the six.

Cons: each unit has three Gigabit ports and no multi-gig port. The product page makes no Thread or Matter claim. The warranty is 2 years.

Best for: a 4 to 5 bedroom home on a plan of 1 Gbps or less that wants the lowest device price of the six.

2. eero 6+: the Wi-Fi 6 entry from eero

Dupple spec card for eero 6+ 3-pack: $299.99, Wi-Fi 6 dual-band, 1,500 sq ft per eero, two 1 GbE ports per eero.
Dupple spec card

$299.99 for the 3-pack on eero's US store, read November 3, 2026, with the 2-pack at $239.99. It is dual-band Wi-Fi 6 with wireless speeds up to 940 Mbps. eero's page says it works as a smart home hub for Thread, Zigbee and Matter-enabled devices.

Cons: it costs $70.00 more than the XE75 for an older Wi-Fi generation with no 6 GHz band. Each unit has two 1 GbE ports. The product copy promises one year of warranty, though the page also shows a 3-year badge, so check the term at checkout.

Best for: a home on a plan of 1 Gbps or less that wants eero's app and hub claim and does not need 6 GHz.

See the eero 6+ on eero's US store.

3. TP-Link Deco BE63: tri-band Wi-Fi 7 for about $400

Dupple spec card for TP-Link Deco BE63 3-pack: $396.99, Wi-Fi 7 tri-band with 6 GHz, 4 x 2.5 GbE ports per unit, 5,800 sq ft (2-pack figure).
Dupple spec card

$396.99 for the 3-pack on TP-Link's US store, read November 3, 2026, with a regular $599.99 shown beside it. It is the cheapest Wi-Fi 7 3-pack of the six, by $3.00 against the eero 7.

Cons: the 5,800 sq ft figure is for the 2-pack, and the page gives no 3-pack figure. The warranty is 2 years. Total Security, if you take it, renews at $129.99 after the first year.

Best for: a home on a plan above 1 Gbps that wants 6 GHz and four 2.5 GbE ports per unit at the lowest Wi-Fi 7 price of the six.

4. eero 7: dual-band Wi-Fi 7 with a 3-year warranty

Dupple spec card for eero 7 3-pack: $399.99, Wi-Fi 7 dual-band, 2,000 sq ft per eero, two 2.5 GbE ports per eero.
Dupple spec card

$399.99 for the 3-pack on eero's US store, read November 3, 2026. eero calls it its most affordable Wi-Fi 7 router. Its page says it works as a Thread hub and as a Matter controller only.

Cons: it is dual-band, so it has no 6 GHz band, and its top wireless speed is 1.8 Gbps against 4.3 Gbps on the Max 7. It costs $3.00 more than the BE63 for the same 3-pack.

Best for: a Wi-Fi 7 home that values the 3-year warranty and the Thread hub claim over the 6 GHz band.

See the eero 7 on eero's US store.

5. TP-Link Deco BE67: the top Deco 3-pack on the US store

Dupple spec card for TP-Link Deco BE67 3-pack: $499.99, Wi-Fi 7 tri-band with 6 GHz, 10 GbE, 2.5 GbE and 1 GbE ports, up to 8,100 sq ft whole home.
Dupple spec card

$499.99 for the 3-pack on TP-Link's US store, read November 3, 2026, with a regular $699.99 shown beside it. Each unit has one 10 GbE port, one 2.5 GbE and one 1 GbE. The BE85 and BE95 sit higher on tp-link.com, but no US store price for them was found, so they are not costed.

Cons: one 10 GbE port per unit, against two on the Max 7. The warranty is 2 years. TP-Link's HomeShield page lists a free year for a "Deco BE68" with the same BE14000 spec, not for the BE67, so this page assumes no free year.

Best for: a fibre or cable plan above 1 Gbps that wants a Deco with a 10 GbE port and the highest whole-home figure of the three Deco systems costed here.

6. eero Max 7: the flagship, at the highest price

Dupple spec card for eero Max 7 3-pack: $1,699.99, Wi-Fi 7 tri-band, two 10 GbE and two 2.5 GbE ports, 2,500 sq ft per eero.
Dupple spec card

$1,699.99 for the 3-pack on eero's US store, read November 3, 2026. eero calls the Max 7 its most advanced Wi-Fi. It is tri-band, with wireless speeds up to 4.3 Gbps and two 10 GbE ports on each unit.

Cons: the 3-pack costs $1,200.00 more than the BE67, which is 3.4 times the price. eero Plus is extra on top of the device. The Pro 7 at $799.99 sits between the eero 7 and the Max 7 and is not part of this matchup.

Best for: a multi-gig home that needs 10 GbE at each node and where price is not the constraint.

See the eero Max 7 on eero's US store.

Each matchup compares one Deco and one eero with a 3-pack in both cases. Deco is cheaper in all three before any subscription. The entry gap is $70.00, but the eero 6+ is also the older Wi-Fi generation, so the two are not the same system. The mid-tier gap is small enough that features decide it. TP-Link's US store also sells the dual-band Wi-Fi 7 Deco BE25 3-pack at $249.99 (2 x 2.5 GbE per unit, the closest spec match to the eero 7) and the Deco BE23 3-pack at $204.99. They sit outside the three tiers, so the matchups above do not use them.

Device price gap, 3-pack, November 3, 2026, cheaper first within each tier
Tier TP-Link Deco eero Deco against eero, device only
Entry XE75, $229.99 6+, $299.99 $70.00 less
Mid BE63, $396.99 eero 7, $399.99 $3.00 less
Flagship BE67, $499.99 Max 7, $1,699.99 $1,200.00 less

Verdict: Deco wins on price in every tier, and on port count in the entry and mid tiers. At the top, eero has four ports per unit against three on the BE67, and two 10 GbE ports. eero also has the warranty edge on Wi-Fi 7 and the Thread hub claim. In the mid tier the choice comes down to 6 GHz and 2.5 GbE ports against the warranty and the hub.

eero vs Deco: subscription costs

Neither brand needs a subscription for basic use, and both sell paid plans that renew automatically. eero Plus costs $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year. Its page lists identity protection, antivirus for up to 20 devices and a VPN as Plus features, and says Plus works only with Wi-Fi 6 or later eero devices.

TP-Link's HomeShield has a free Basic plan and three paid plans: Advanced Parental Controls at $2.99 a month or $17.99 a year, Security+ at $4.99 a month or $35.99 a year, and Total Security Package at $69.99 for the first year and $129.99 at renewal, with no free trial. HomeShield subscriptions renew until canceled.

The table prices each device alone, then with the paid plan that matches each brand's wider security bundle: eero Plus on the eero side, Total Security on the Deco side.

Dupple data: computed from vendor prices on November 3, 2026. The arithmetic is shown once. The eero Plus annual plan over 24 months is 2 x $99.99, or $199.98. Total Security over 24 months is $69.99 plus $129.99, also $199.98. eero's trials are one month free on the monthly plan and two months free on the annual plan. The annual trial only delays the first charge, so the 12- and 24-month annual totals in the table still count one and two payments. The monthly trial removes one payment: 11 monthly payments cover 12 months ($109.89) and 23 cover 24 months ($229.77), against $119.88 and $239.76 without it.

Dupple data: computed from vendor prices on November 3, 2026. 3-pack device, with the paid plan modelled, 12 and 24 months
Product Paid plan modelled Device only, 12 / 24 months With the plan, 12 / 24 months
TP-Link Deco XE75 Total Security $229.99 / $229.99 $299.98 / $429.97
eero 6+ eero Plus, annual $299.99 / $299.99 $399.98 / $499.97
TP-Link Deco BE63 Total Security $396.99 / $396.99 $466.98 / $596.97
eero 7 eero Plus, annual $399.99 / $399.99 $499.98 / $599.97
TP-Link Deco BE67 Total Security $499.99 / $499.99 $569.98 / $699.97
eero Max 7 eero Plus, annual $1,699.99 / $1,699.99 $1,799.98 / $1,899.97

Verdict: with the plans modelled, Deco stays cheaper in each tier by the same margin as the device: $70.00, $3.00 and $1,200.00 over 24 months. Both plan sets cost $199.98 over 24 months, so the subscription does not change the order. Security+ from $35.99 a year would widen the Deco lead, and monthly eero Plus would cost $29.79 more than the annual plan over 24 months on the eero 7 once the free first month is counted ($39.78 without it).

Smart home and warranty: what the pages do not say

eero's pages describe a smart home hub for Thread devices, with Zigbee and Matter support, and call Matter a controller role on the eero 7 and Max 7. The Deco pages for the XE75, BE63 and BE67 make no Thread or Matter claim in their text, so eero is the only one of the two whose vendor documents that support. On warranty, TP-Link's US table gives Deco systems bought from September 1, 2023 a 2-year term, while eero's Wi-Fi 7 pages show 3 years.

Who should buy which

  • The lowest device price of the six for a 4 to 5 bedroom home: TP-Link Deco XE75 at $229.99, on a plan of 1 Gbps or less.
  • Wi-Fi 6 with eero's app and hub claim: eero 6+ at $299.99, if 6 GHz does not matter.
  • Tri-band Wi-Fi 7 with 2.5 GbE ports: TP-Link Deco BE63 at $396.99, against $399.99 for the eero 7.
  • A 3-year warranty and a Thread hub on Wi-Fi 7: eero 7 at $399.99.
  • A 10 GbE port on a Deco: TP-Link Deco BE67 at $499.99. For two 10 GbE ports per unit, only the eero Max 7 at $1,699.99 fits.

FAQ

Is TP-Link Deco or eero cheaper in 2026?

Deco is cheaper in each matched tier as of November 3, 2026: $229.99 for the XE75 against $299.99 for the eero 6+, $396.99 for the BE63 against $399.99 for the eero 7, and $499.99 for the BE67 against $1,699.99 for the eero Max 7.

Do I need a subscription for eero or Deco?

No. Both systems run their core features without one. eero Plus is $9.99 a month or $99.99 a year, and TP-Link's Total Security Package is $69.99 for the first year and $129.99 after that.

Which one supports Thread and Matter?

eero's pages describe its routers as a smart home hub for Thread devices, with Matter as a controller on the eero 7 and Max 7. The Deco pages for the XE75, BE63 and BE67 make no Thread or Matter claim, so check the Deco app before you buy for either.

Which has the better warranty?

eero's Wi-Fi 7 pages list 3 years. TP-Link's US table gives Deco systems bought from September 1, 2023 a 2-year term. The eero 6+ product copy promises one year, although its page also shows a 3-year badge.

Is eero Plus worth $99.99 a year?

Plus includes identity protection, antivirus on up to 20 devices and a VPN, per eero's plan page. Total Security costs $129.99 a year after the first, so over 24 months the two plans cost the same, $199.98.

Which mesh should I buy for a 3-bedroom house?

TP-Link's XE75 page matches a 3-bedroom house to its 2-pack, which covers 3 to 5 bedroom homes. The XE75 2-pack is $146.99 on TP-Link's US store, read November 3, 2026, against $239.99 for the eero 6+ 2-pack on eero's store, a gap of $93.00.

Can I mix Deco and eero in one network?

Neither vendor's page covers a mixed network, so plan on one brand for the whole home.

Methodology

Six systems are compared: one Deco and one eero in each of three tiers. The Deco BE23 and BE25 are not part of the six. Entry is Wi-Fi 6 or 6E, mid is Wi-Fi 7 near $400, and flagship is the highest-priced Wi-Fi 7 3-pack each brand sells on its US store. The ranking uses device price only, cheaper first within a tier, because both subscriptions are optional and costed separately.

Prices are US prices read November 3, 2026: TP-Link's US store, which reports the country as US and the currency as USD, and eero's US store. TP-Link's store labels the struck figure 'Regular price'; no total on this page uses it. No Amazon, retailer, review-site or forum figure is used. Coverage figures are each vendor's own wording and are not added together. Nobody tested either system for this page. Dupple has no affiliate program with either brand, and no Toolradar listing was found for eero or TP-Link Deco under the usual slugs.

Sources

Pick the Deco XE75 for the lowest device price of the six, the eero 7 for the 3-year warranty and the Thread hub claim, and the Deco BE63 for 6 GHz and 2.5 GbE ports at almost the same price as the eero 7. Check each store on the day you buy, because prices change.
