Who Reads Finpresso? Roles in a Selected Sample
Who reads Finpresso? A selected recent-clicker sample contains 279 resolved Finpresso addresses matched to a Dupple quiz answer. Among those matches, 34 selected leadership and 34 selected marketing. Extracted on 5 November 2026, this small, non-representative group cannot describe the role mix of the entire newsletter.

Dupple publishes Finpresso and sells sponsorships. Our data comes from its subscriber-segment cache and quiz system. Roles are self-reported choices, not independently verified employment records, and the results have not been independently audited.
The Finpresso role extract
In the Finpresso CSV, the starting group is made of resolved addresses last seen in a configured Finpresso engagement segment from 29 October through 4 November 2026 UTC. The extract found 317 distinct resolved addresses; 279 matched a quiz response and 38 did not. The percentages use the 279 matches. Segment records without a resolved address are outside the starting count.
| Quiz role stored | Matched records | Share of 279 matches |
|---|---|---|
| Other, chosen in quiz | 56 | 20.1% |
| Leadership | 34 | 12.2% |
| Marketing | 34 | 12.2% |
| Remaining roles and missing role | 155 | 55.6% |
The final row pools role groups with fewer than 30 matched records, including missing answers. It is separate from the quiz option named other. Displayed shares are rounded to one decimal place. A grouped category does not reveal the counts of its components. The file contains aggregated records and no individual email addresses or advertiser identities.
The selection behind the table
The engagement segment is configured for active Finpresso subscribers who signed up within the previous 30 days and had at least one verified click within that period. Dupple's email-sequence system caches observed segment memberships and attempts to resolve subscription identifiers to addresses. This file retains addresses whose membership was last seen in the stated seven-day window, then deduplicates normalized addresses within Finpresso.
The cache is an operational snapshot, not a complete current membership register. A subscriber last observed during the window could leave the segment later. If a sync is partial or fails, some memberships may not be observed. The 317 includes only records with resolved email addresses, so it does not establish the total number of people who met the segment definition. The population is selected for recent signup and clicking rather than randomly sampled.
The method file matches each selected address to the most recently created available Dupple quiz record. A stable record identifier resolves equal creation timestamps. Quiz answers may predate the window and may have been submitted through another Dupple flow. An email match is useful for this aggregate, but it does not prove which publication caused a quiz response or whether an answer is still current.
Interpreting a small finance-newsletter sample
The 34 leadership selections represent 12.2% of the 279 matches, as do the 34 marketing selections. That equality is a property of this extract, not evidence that those roles are equally common in the whole Finpresso audience. The combined remainder accounts for 55.6% of matched answers, so its individual role counts cannot be inferred from this table.
A leadership choice does not establish a chief financial officer title, a purchasing budget or responsibility for financial decisions. Marketing is similarly broad. The dataset does not list credentials, industries, employer sizes or regulatory qualifications. Some finance practitioners may have chosen another role, while a person in a non-finance role may read a finance newsletter for professional or personal reasons.
The 38 resolved addresses without quiz matches are not assigned a role, and the characteristics of unresolved members are unknown. Non-clickers, longer-standing subscribers and people absent from the cache are also outside this selection. Applying these sample shares to the newsletter's total subscriber figure would create unsupported estimates. A percentage alone does not remove those exclusions.
Using the information for an advertising proposal
A finance or fintech advertiser should first identify its offer and the action it wants readers to take. A product serving finance teams might need a destination that explains the workflow and who can use it. A consumer-facing offer may need a different explanation. These are examples of proposal questions; the selected roles above do not establish a reader's financial needs or suitability for a particular product.
The Finpresso advertising page describes the publication. A Primary Ad is an in-issue placement, whereas a Dedicated Send is a separate sponsored email. Confirm the available product, date, disclosure, copy and destination before agreeing a placement. This file does not count campaign deliveries, impressions, leads or sales.
For a buying checklist, the newsletter advertising guide explains questions to ask about a proposal. The sponsorship ROI guide discusses the difference between an interaction and a downstream business outcome. Dupple's lead generation page describes a different post-signup surface and its own targeting; the Finpresso cohort is not an inventory estimate for that product.
If an advertiser needs a country or company-size constraint, ask for evidence tied to that constraint and how missing values are handled. If an outcome depends on qualification or a purchase, agree on the definition and who measures it. A recent verified click in the segment configuration is not necessarily a sponsor click, and the extract does not independently recheck or attribute each click.
Other data is not the same population
The audience and lead data hub includes a finance-industry quiz group across Dupple's network. That group is selected by a quiz industry answer, while this page starts with a Finpresso engagement segment. They have different entry rules and cannot be equated. Similarly, the country mix is a network quiz snapshot, not a location breakdown for these 279 matched records.
The AIpresso cohort, Devshot cohort and Techpresso cohort use separately selected publication records. One address can appear in more than one newsletter. Their counts should not be added as unique people, and their role shares do not establish the breakdown of Finpresso.
A seller's audience claim needs its own source and definition. daily.dev's audience page, checked 5 November 2026, describes a separate developer audience. It is not evidence for the Finpresso numbers. When comparing providers, ask whether a figure describes quiz respondents, subscribers, verified clickers or ad exposure, as well as its date and missing-data treatment.
Limits of reuse
More than half of matched records fall in the pooled remainder. The file does not publish an individual count for each of those roles and cannot identify the size of a particular finance specialty. Nor does it report whether the 279 people received a specific issue. Answers can be stale, addresses can be reused and people may have several addresses. Those limits remain even though the output contains no personal identifiers.
A later extraction could differ because the segment refreshed, an email was resolved, a quiz record changed or the definition of a segment was updated. Record the window, counts and method alongside any comparison. A single selected sample is not a time series or a guarantee of future campaign results. The current extract does not include uncertainty intervals or independent verification of the stored attributes.
For a repeatable comparison, check whether the same segment is still configured with the same signup and verified-click conditions. A change in the segment may alter who can enter before any change in quiz answers occurs. Also retain the address-resolution coverage: the file counts only resolved addresses, not every subscription identifier in the source segment.
When discussing this dataset with a buyer, place the matched sample count next to any percentage and name the excluded groups. The result is most useful as a dated description of a selected set of records. It does not substitute for a current media kit, a contract specifying the placement or a report from the actual campaign.
FAQ
How many selected Finpresso addresses matched a quiz?
Of 317 resolved addresses last seen in the selected seven-day window, 279 matched a Dupple quiz response and 38 did not. Unresolved segment records are excluded before that count.
How many matched records selected leadership?
Thirty-four of 279 matched records selected leadership, or 12.2%. This is not the leadership share of the full Finpresso list.
Does the table count finance executives?
No. The labels are self-reported quiz roles, and the grouped remainder hides individual small categories. A leadership choice does not prove a finance title or purchasing authority.
Why are other roles pooled?
Individual groups with fewer than 30 matched records, including missing answers, are combined. The quiz's own other option has a separate row.
Does a segment click show sponsor performance?
No. The segment is configured around verified clicks, but this export does not attribute them to an advertiser or measure campaign outcomes.
