OpenAI has introduced a five-level scale to measure advancements towards Artificial General Intelligence (AGI) and aims to soon reach the "reasoner" stage, which is the second level.
At an employee meeting, OpenAI revealed details about this new classification system and noted their proximity to achieving level 2, which involves AI capable of solving problems at a human level.
The five-level framework culminates in systems that can outperform humans in most economically valuable tasks, with level 5 AI being able to perform the work of an entire organization.

Tesla has delayed its robotaxi unveiling to October to give teams more time to build additional prototypes, according to unnamed sources.
The event postponement, initially set for August 8, has led to a significant drop in Tesla’s stock, while shares of competitors Uber and Lyft surged.
Elon Musk has emphasized the robotaxi project over cheaper electric vehicles, despite the Full Self-Driving feature still requiring constant supervision and not making Teslas fully autonomous.
🚨 ATT data breach affects 100M+ customersLINK
AT&T announced a cybersecurity breach that exposed call and text records from almost all of its wireless customers, including those using MVNOs like Cricket and Boost Mobile, between May and October 2022, and partly in January 2023.
According to an AT&T spokesperson, the attackers accessed this information via AT&T’s account on a third-party cloud platform, and the breach was not made public immediately due to potential risks to national security and public safety.
The compromised data includes the phone numbers customers interacted with, call durations, and counts of texts and calls, but does not contain the content of those communications or sensitive personal details like Social Security numbers.
🌐 EU accuses X of misleading usersLINK
The European Union has declared that X's blue checkmark verification system is misleading and violates the bloc’s Digital Services Act (DSA).
According to the EU's findings, X is not complying with advertising transparency and is restricting data access to researchers, which breaches key DSA transparency requirements.
X faces possible formal actions and significant fines if it fails to address these issues, marking the first formal DSA breach accusation under the EU’s preliminary findings.
📉 Apple Vision Pro sales may not even reach 500,000 units this yearLINK
Apple's Vision Pro mixed reality headset, launched in February for $3,500, is projected to sell fewer than 500,000 units this year, falling short of expectations.
IDC analysts report that Apple has not sold 100,000 units in any single quarter, and forecast a 75% drop in US sales this quarter, though international sales starting in June may help.
Apple plans to introduce a more affordable Vision Pro version by 2025, estimated to cost around $1,500, in response to lukewarm reception and market competition from companies like Google and Samsung.
