Short answer: [Lindy](https://try.lindy.ai/xgu55xh248g4) AI starts free with **$50 in credits that last 7 days**, no card needed. After that, **every active user pays from $29.99 a month for 3,000 credits**, and all seats share one credit pool. Bigger seats run up to $299.99 for 45,000 credits, top-ups cost $10 per 1,000 credits, and Enterprise is custom. Verified on [Lindy's pricing page](https://www.lindy.ai/pricing), October 2026.

So a 5-person team on the entry seat pays $149.95 a month. That number is the honest starting point, because Lindy bills per person and per credit at the same time, and most write-ups only explain one of the two.

## Lindy AI plans at a glance

*Lindy AI plans at a glance: Lindy AI Pricing 2026: Plans, Credits and What a Team Really Pays. Last updated November 2026.*

| Tier | Monthly price per seat | Credits per seat | Cost per 1,000 credits | Who it fits |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Free | $0 | $50 in credits, 7 days | Not applicable | Trying Lindy on real work before paying |
| Team, 3,000 credits | $29.99 | 3,000 | $10.00 | Light users: daily briefs, inbox help, meeting notes |
| Team, 5,000 credits | $49.99 | 5,000 | $10.00 | Regular users who draft and research most days |
| Team, 15,000 credits | $99.99 | 15,000 | $6.67 | Power users and heavy scheduled routines |
| Team, 35,000 credits | $199.99 | 35,000 | $5.71 | The heaviest single seat, lowest rate on the ladder |
| Team, 45,000 credits | $299.99 | 45,000 | $6.67 | Rarely the best buy (see the ladder below) |
| Enterprise | Custom | Custom | Custom | Teams needing HIPAA with a BAA, SSO, SCIM and audit logs |

Prices read on [lindy.ai/pricing](https://www.lindy.ai/pricing) on October 28, 2026, billed monthly; the page shows no yearly option. The cost-per-1,000 column is our arithmetic. The full credit ladder has 15 rungs and appears further down.

## How much does Lindy AI cost in 2026?

Lindy charges one price per seat, and that price buys a bundle of monthly credits, so you are really choosing two numbers: how many people and how much work. The pricing card is labeled "Team" and lets you pick a monthly credit allowance, from the entry seat up to 1,750,000 credits. Every active user in the workspace is billed, and each seat adds its credits to a shared pool the whole team draws from.

That pool is the part people miss. **One heavy user can spend a light user's credits**, which is handy when work is uneven and painful when one runaway routine drains the month. Admins can cap any teammate's draw from the pool, according to [Lindy's usage docs](https://docs.lindy.ai/account-billing/usage.md), and Lindy pauses a task that starts using far more than usual until someone approves it.

Lindy's docs still name the paid plans Plus, Pro and Max. In September 2026 the pricing page tied those names to the 3,000, 15,000 and 35,000 credit seats ([archived copy, September 14, 2026](https://web.archive.org/web/20260914111246/https://www.lindy.ai/pricing)). Today's page shows one Team card with a credit selector instead, so treat the names as labels for those three rungs.

## What a 5-person team really pays

Here is the scenario most small teams face: five people, each on the entry seat, billed monthly.

*What a 5-person team really pays: Lindy AI Pricing 2026: Plans, Credits and What a Team Really Pays. Last updated November 2026.*

| Team setup | Monthly bill | Credits in the pool | Yearly cost |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| 1 person, 3,000-credit seat | $29.99 | 3,000 | $359.88 |
| 5 people, all on 3,000-credit seats | $149.95 | 15,000 | $1,799.40 |
| 5 people, one moved to a 15,000-credit seat | $219.95 | 27,000 | $2,639.40 |
| 5 people on 3,000 seats plus 12,000 top-up credits | $269.95 | 27,000 | Depends on how often you top up |
| 10 people, all on 3,000-credit seats | $299.90 | 30,000 | $3,598.80 |

Our arithmetic on prices read on Lindy's pricing page in October 2026. The yearly column is 12 monthly bills, since Lindy shows no annual price.

The comparison in rows three and four is the useful one. If the team needs about 27,000 credits a month, **moving one heavy user to the 15,000 seat is cheaper than buying the same credits as top-ups, saving about $50 a month**. Lindy's billing docs say each seat adds its own tier's allotment to the pool, so you can size one seat up without moving everyone.

Pick the pool size from real usage, not guesses. Lindy shows each person's credit draw in Settings, under Members, so after the first month you can see whether the team burned 6,000 credits or 16,000.

**Dupple data:** Toolradar, our software directory, tracks 1,022 AI agents as of October 28, 2026, and the median cheapest paid plan is $29/mo across the 319 that publish a price. Lindy's entry seat sits almost exactly on that median ([Toolradar AI agents data](https://toolradar.com/best/ai-agents)).

## How do Lindy credits work, and do they roll over?

A credit is Lindy's unit of work, and Lindy's docs price it at $0.01 per credit on base plans. That makes the free start worth about 5,000 credits (our arithmetic).

Lindy groups work into three bands on its pricing page:

- **Everyday asks, 2 to 250 credits:** answers, summaries, lookups, closing out a meeting, drafting a reply.
- **Deep work, 250 to 1,000 credits:** a competitor report, triaging a day's support queue, turning a week of calls into a proposal.
- **Big builds, 1,000 to 2,500 credits:** complex dashboards, decks built from CRM and analytics data, internal tools.

So an entry seat covers anything from 12 everyday asks a month at the top of that band to hundreds at the bottom, or about three deep-work jobs, or one big build (our arithmetic on the band edges). Lindy publishes no exact count per task, and the model you pick changes the cost: its docs advise cheaper models for summaries and drafts, and stronger ones for hard reasoning.

**Monthly credits do not roll over.** They refresh at the start of each billing cycle, and anything unused disappears. Top-up credits are the exception: they stay until you spend them. If your usage is lumpy, a smaller seat plus occasional top-ups wastes less than a big seat you only fill in busy months.

## The credit ladder: where the price per credit drops

*The credit ladder: where the price per credit drops: Lindy AI Pricing 2026: Plans, Credits and What a Team Really Pays. Last updated November 2026.*

| Credits per month | Monthly price | Cost per 1,000 credits |
| --- | --- | --- |
| 3,000 | $29.99 | $10.00 |
| 4,000 | $39.99 | $10.00 |
| 5,000 | $49.99 | $10.00 |
| 6,000 | $59.99 | $10.00 |
| 8,000 | $79.99 | $10.00 |
| 15,000 | $99.99 | $6.67 |
| 20,000 | $149.99 | $7.50 |
| 35,000 | $199.99 | $5.71 |
| 45,000 | $299.99 | $6.67 |
| 70,000 | $399.98 | $5.71 |
| 105,000 | $599.97 | $5.71 |
| 175,000 | $999.95 | $5.71 |
| 350,000 | $1,999.90 | $5.71 |
| 700,000 | $3,999.80 | $5.71 |
| 1,750,000 | $9,999.50 | $5.71 |

Ladder read on [lindy.ai/pricing](https://www.lindy.ai/pricing) in October 2026; the last six rungs are grouped there as "Small teams" and "Growing teams". The per-1,000 column is our arithmetic.

Three things stand out. First, every rung up to 8,000 credits costs the same per credit as a top-up, so the first volume discount arrives with the Pro-sized seat. Second, the 20,000 and 45,000 rungs cost more per credit than the rung below them: 20,000 credits for $149.99 is a worse deal than 15,000 plus a top-up when you only need a bit more. Third, every rung from 70,000 up is an exact multiple of the 35,000 price (2, 3, 5, 10, 20 and 50 times), so the big bundles carry no extra discount.

## Is Lindy AI free?

Not permanently. Lindy offers a free start, not a free plan: a one-time credit allowance, no credit card, and the credits expire after 7 days. After that week, paid usage starts at the entry seat.

The free week is one-time per person. Someone who leaves the workspace and comes back goes straight onto a billed seat. New teammates who join through Slack also get a 7-day free trial before their seat is billed, while people who sign up directly are billed right away.

## How much do Lindy phone calls cost?

Phone calls use credits **from 25 credits per minute**, according to Lindy's usage docs. At the $0.01 base rate that is about $0.25 a minute, so 200 minutes of calls is roughly 5,000 credits, more than a whole entry seat holds (our arithmetic).

The phone number itself is a separate monthly fee, billed with your plan. Lindy's [phone line docs](https://docs.lindy.ai/features/phone-line.md) say the app shows the current fee before you confirm the purchase, and pausing the line does not stop that fee. A paid plan is required.

## Hidden costs to budget for

- **Every user is a seat.** Anyone who signs up, joins the workspace or @mentions Lindy in Slack becomes billed, Slack joiners after a 7-day trial. One curious colleague tagging Lindy in a channel adds a seat.
- **No mid-cycle refunds.** Removing a seat or cancelling keeps access through the paid cycle, with no proration. Downgrades take effect at the end of the term, while upgrades apply immediately.
- **Unused credits vanish.** Plan credits reset each cycle; only top-ups carry over.
- **Phone numbers cost extra.** The monthly number fee sits on top of the per-minute credits.
- **Some features need bigger seats.** Lindy's billing docs reserve computer use for Pro and Max and live onboarding for Pro and up, and the number of connected inboxes (2 to 5) depends on the plan.
- **Busy channels burn faster.** Lindy's docs warn that long threads re-read everything above them and that team routines spend credits whether or not anyone reads the result.

## Has Lindy's price changed?

Yes, more than once this year. In March 2026 the pricing page listed Plus at $49.99 a month and Pro at $59.99 a month, with an annual option advertised as saving 17% ([archived copy, March 10, 2026](https://web.archive.org/web/20260310183010/https://www.lindy.ai/pricing)). By mid-September the lineup had become per-user seats: Plus at $29.99 for 3,000 credits, Pro at $99.99 for 15,000 and Max at $199.99 for 35,000.

The October page keeps those three prices but folds them into one Team card with a 15-rung credit ladder, a 7-day free start and no annual billing. That history explains why third-party pages still quote $49.99 as the starting price: they describe the spring lineup.

## Is Lindy AI worth it vs Zapier or n8n?

They bill for different things. Zapier and n8n charge for automation runs, so a fixed workflow that fires a thousand times has a predictable price. Lindy charges per person plus credits, because it is built as an assistant that reads context, drafts and decides, not only a pipe between apps.

Lindy is worth it when the work is judgment-heavy: inbox triage, meeting follow-ups, research summaries, client updates in Slack. For rule-based workflows that never need a model, a run-based tool is usually cheaper and easier to predict. Our [Zapier vs n8n comparison](https://dupple.com/learn/zapier-vs-n8n) and [n8n pricing breakdown](https://dupple.com/learn/n8n-pricing) show how run-based billing adds up, and the [guide to automating tasks with AI](https://dupple.com/learn/how-to-use-ai-to-automate-tasks) helps sort which jobs need an agent at all.

## What are cheaper Lindy alternatives?

At the entry level, Lindy is not expensive for its category: the Toolradar median above puts typical AI agent entry plans at the same level. The cost grows with headcount, not with features, so a 10-person team pays ten times a solo user even if half the team rarely uses it.

## How we checked these prices

Every price and policy on this page was read on [Lindy's pricing page](https://www.lindy.ai/pricing), the [Lindy pricing docs](https://docs.lindy.ai/pricing.md), the [billing docs](https://docs.lindy.ai/teammate/lindy-teammate-billing.md) and the [usage docs](https://docs.lindy.ai/account-billing/usage.md) on October 28, 2026. Earlier prices come from archived copies of Lindy's own pricing page, dated in the text. Team bills, per-credit rates and yearly totals are our arithmetic on those printed prices. We re-check this page every 60 days.

## FAQ

**How much does Lindy AI cost per month?**

Lindy costs from $29.99 per active user a month for 3,000 credits, billed monthly, after a free start with $50 in credits that lasts 7 days. Larger seats cost $99.99 for 15,000 credits and $199.99 for 35,000, and Enterprise pricing is custom.

**Does Lindy AI have a free plan?**

No permanent one. New users get free credits with no card, valid for 7 days, once per person. After that, every user who keeps working with Lindy needs a paid seat.

**Do Lindy credits roll over to the next month?**

No. Monthly plan credits reset at the start of each billing cycle and unused ones are lost. Top-up credits, bought at $10 per 1,000, never expire and stay in the pool until used.

**What happens when a Lindy workspace runs out of credits?**

Lindy pauses credit-using actions until the next cycle, with no overage bill. An admin can buy a top-up or move to a bigger credit tier to resume sooner.

**How much does Lindy cost for a team of 10?**

On the entry seat, 10 users cost $299.90 a month for a 30,000-credit shared pool, or $3,598.80 over a year of monthly billing (our arithmetic). Moving a few heavy users to bigger seats raises the pool more cheaply than top-ups do.

**Does Lindy offer annual billing?**

The October 2026 pricing page shows monthly prices only, with no yearly toggle. Earlier in 2026 Lindy advertised an annual option saving 17%, so check the page before you buy.

**Is Lindy HIPAA compliant?**

Only on Enterprise, which adds HIPAA compliance with a signed BAA, SSO and SCIM, audit logs and dedicated support. Every plan is SOC 2 Type II and GDPR compliant, according to Lindy's pricing docs.
