Short answer: Jasper sells two plans. **Pro costs $69 per seat a month on monthly billing, or $59 a month billed yearly**, and Business is a custom quote. There is no free plan, only a 7-day free trial of Pro. One seat comes to $708 a year on annual billing or $828 on monthly (our arithmetic), verified on [Jasper's pricing page](https://www.jasper.ai/pricing) in October 2026. Solo writers who mostly draft text will usually pay less with a general chat assistant.

## Jasper plans at a glance

*Jasper plans at a glance: Jasper AI Pricing 2026: Pro, Business and What You Really Pay. Last updated November 2026.*

| Plan | Monthly billing | Annual billing | What's included | Limits | Source |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Pro | $69 per seat a month | $59 per seat a month, paid up front for 12 months | Canvas editor, agents for core marketing workflows, Jasper Chat, image generation and editing, browser extension, 30+ languages | 1 user, 2 brand voices, 5 knowledge assets, 3 audiences, no style guide or visual guidelines | [jasper.ai/pricing](https://www.jasper.ai/pricing) |
| Business | Custom quote | Custom quote, 12-month commitment to start | Everything in Pro plus GEO, translation and deep research agents, a no-code agent builder, Jasper Grid, API access, SSO, admin controls and a dedicated account manager | Unlimited brand voices, knowledge and audiences; some agents draw on usage credits | [jasper.ai/pricing](https://www.jasper.ai/pricing) |

Prices read on 28 October 2026. Jasper bills in US dollars and, for other currencies, applies Stripe's exchange rate at checkout.

## What changed in Jasper's pricing this year

Jasper's lineup is now down to two plans, and that matters more than the price tag. Older guides still describe a cheaper Creator plan for solo users. Jasper's own pricing page no longer sells it: the only self-serve option is Pro, and anything beyond one person goes through sales.

The bigger shift is what Pro is for. **Pro now includes exactly one seat.** Jasper's billing FAQ says that if you need more than one user, you contact sales for a Business plan with additional seats. In practice, Pro is a single-marketer plan with brand controls, and Business is the team product.

That reshapes the usual "how much for my team" question. You cannot add three colleagues to a shared Pro workspace and split the bill. Each person either holds their own Pro subscription, with no shared documents between them, or the team moves to a Business quote.

## How much does Jasper cost in 2026?

For one marketer, Jasper costs $708 a year on annual billing or $828 a year if you pay month to month. Those totals are 12 times each printed monthly rate. Annual billing saves $120 per seat a year.

The toggle on Jasper's pricing page says "Save ~20%". Our arithmetic gives a smaller figure: $10 off a $69 monthly price is a 14.5% saving. Jasper's 20% may be measured another way, but **a buyer comparing the two invoices will see about 14.5%**, so budget with that number.

Annual billing is also a commitment. Jasper's FAQ says the yearly plan is paid up front and runs for 12 months. Monthly billing can be cancelled anytime, and you keep access until the end of the cycle you already paid for. Monthly subscribers can also pause for 30 days instead of cancelling, which is useful between campaigns.

**Dupple data:** Toolradar, our software directory, tracks 142 AI writing tools as of 28 October 2026. Among the 49 that publish a price, the median cheapest paid plan is $19 a month ([Toolradar AI writing ranking](https://toolradar.com/best/ai-writing)). Jasper's annual Pro rate is a little over three times that median, which tells you what kind of product it is: a marketing platform priced for brand work, not a budget writer.

## How much does Jasper cost for a team?

Here is what Pro costs at three team sizes, assuming each person holds their own Pro subscription. All totals are our arithmetic on the per-seat prices Jasper printed on 28 October 2026.

*How much does Jasper cost for a team?: Jasper AI Pricing 2026: Pro, Business and What You Really Pay. Last updated November 2026.*

| People | Pro, annual billing, per year | Pro, monthly billing, per year | Extra paid for monthly billing |
| --- | --- | --- | --- |
| 1 | $708 | $828 | $120 |
| 3 | $2,124 | $2,484 | $360 |
| 10 | $7,080 | $8,280 | $1,200 |

Take a 3-person marketing team: a content lead, a demand-gen manager and a social media manager. On three annual Pro subscriptions, the team pays $2,124 a year. Paying monthly for the same three accounts costs $2,484, so **flexibility costs $360 a year** for this team.

That $2,124 buys three separate workspaces. Each person gets their own two brand voices and five knowledge assets, and Jasper's comparison table shows document collaboration, sharing, team analytics and user management as Business-only. If your team needs one shared set of brand voices and the ability to hand drafts to each other inside Jasper, the realistic comparison is three Pro accounts against a Business quote.

At 10 people, three independent Pro accounts turn into ten, and $7,080 a year for tools that cannot share a workspace is hard to defend. That is the point where you should ask Jasper for a Business quote and compare it with the totals in the table. Jasper does not publish a Business price, so we do not estimate one here.

## Does Jasper have a free plan or free trial?

Jasper has no free plan. It offers a 7-day free trial of the Pro plan, which its pricing page and FAQ both describe.

Seven days is short for a marketing tool whose value depends on setup. To judge Jasper fairly, use the trial week on one real piece of work: upload a brand voice from three or four of your best existing posts, add a product sheet as a knowledge asset, and draft one campaign end to end. If the output does not sound more like your brand than a general chat assistant would, the extra cost is hard to justify.

If you only need occasional drafting, our list of [free AI writing tools](https://dupple.com/learn/best-free-ai-writing-tools) covers tools with a free plan you can keep.

## Jasper Pro vs Business: what is the difference?

Pro is built for one marketer who wants on-brand drafts. You get the Canvas editor, agents for core marketing workflows, Jasper Chat, image generation and the browser extension. The caps are the part to read closely: **2 brand voices, 5 knowledge assets and 3 audiences**. An agency running more than two client voices, or a company with several product lines, will hit them quickly.

Business is the team plan. It removes those caps, adds agents for GEO, translation and deep research, a no-code builder for custom agents, Jasper Grid for content at volume, API access, SSO with SAML, and admin controls with groups. It also comes with a dedicated customer success manager and priority support, where Pro gets email support.

Here is a plain rule for choosing:

- **Pick Pro** if you are a solo marketer or freelancer with one or two brands to write for, and you do not need to share drafts inside Jasper.
- **Pick Business** if two or more people need the same brand voice, if your security team requires SSO, or if you want to call Jasper from your own systems through the API.
- **Skip both** if your work is mostly ad hoc drafting, emails and summaries with no brand rules to enforce.

For a walk-through of the features once you have chosen, see our [guide to using Jasper AI](https://dupple.com/learn/how-to-use-jasper-ai).

## Hidden costs to budget for

The seat price is only part of the bill. These items come from Jasper's pricing page and billing FAQ, read 28 October 2026.

- **One seat per Pro plan.** A second user means a second Pro subscription or a move to Business, and separate Pro accounts still share no brand settings or drafts.
- **The 12-month lock-in on annual billing.** The lower annual rate is paid up front for a year. If you cancel in month three, the rest of that year is already paid for.
- **Business starts with a 12-month commitment.** There is no monthly trial of Business, so you sign for a year on a quoted price.
- **Usage credits on Business.** Jasper's FAQ says some usage-based features, such as the GEO Hub and agents, run on credits that sit alongside seat pricing on Business. Standard content creation in Chat and Canvas does not drive credit use. Ask for the [credits rate card](https://www.jasper.ai/pricing) during the sales call so the quote covers the agents you plan to run.
- **Plagiarism checks.** Jasper's plagiarism checker runs through a Copyscape add-on, so ask how it is billed before you build a review process around it.
- **Card-only payment.** Jasper accepts credit and debit cards and does not take PayPal or prepaid cards, which can slow purchasing for teams that pay through other channels.

One saving is worth knowing: Jasper offers nonprofits a 20% discount. You start a trial, then email Jasper with documentation to have it applied.

## Is Jasper worth it compared with ChatGPT or Claude?

For most solo writers, no. A general chat assistant drafts blog posts, emails and social copy well, and it costs a fraction of a Jasper seat. Our [Claude Pro vs Max comparison](https://dupple.com/learn/claude-pro-vs-max) and our [ChatGPT alternatives guide](https://dupple.com/learn/best-chatgpt-alternatives) list what those plans cost; check the current price on each vendor's site before you decide. If you are choosing between those two, our [Claude vs ChatGPT comparison](https://dupple.com/learn/claude-vs-chatgpt) compares them for daily writing.

Jasper earns its price in a narrower case. **It is worth paying for when brand consistency is the bottleneck**, not drafting speed. Brand voices, knowledge assets and audience profiles mean every draft starts from your product facts and tone instead of a blank prompt. Jasper also builds its agents around marketing tasks, from campaign briefs to repurposing content for other channels.

The weakness is plain: Pro's caps are tight for the price, and a single seat cannot share that brand setup with colleagues. A team that wants shared brand controls pays Business prices, which Jasper does not publish. Our ranking of the [best AI tools for copywriting](https://dupple.com/learn/best-ai-for-copywriting) shows where Jasper sits against the field.

## Cheaper Jasper alternatives

If Jasper's per-seat price is the problem, two writing tools publish much lower prices. Both were read on their own pricing pages on 28 October 2026.

*Cheaper Jasper alternatives: Jasper AI Pricing 2026: Pro, Business and What You Really Pay. Last updated November 2026.*

| Tool and plan | Monthly billing | Annual billing | Seats included | Cost for a 3-person team, per year |
| --- | --- | --- | --- | --- |
| Jasper Pro | $69 per seat | $59 per seat | 1 | $2,124 (3 annual subscriptions) |
| Copy.ai Chat | $29 a month | $24 a month, billed $288 a year | 5 | $288 (annual) |
| Rytr Lite | $9 a month | 20% less on yearly billing | 1 | $324 (3 monthly subscriptions) |
| Rytr Free | $0 | $0 | 1 | $0, capped at 10,000 characters a month |

Sources: [Copy.ai pricing](https://www.copy.ai/prices) and [Rytr pricing](https://rytr.me/pricing). The 3-person totals are our arithmetic.

**Copy.ai Chat** is the closest swap for a small team. One plan covers 5 seats with unlimited words in chat and access to OpenAI, Anthropic and Gemini models. What it lacks is Jasper's brand voice and knowledge setup, and its larger plans jump straight to Growth at $1,000 a month billed yearly for 75 seats. See [Copy.ai on Toolradar](https://toolradar.com/tools/copy-ai).

**Rytr** is the budget option for one writer. Lite removes the character limit of the Free plan. Rytr has repositioned itself around follow-up and relationship work, so check that its writing tools still match your use before you commit. See [Rytr on Toolradar](https://toolradar.com/tools/rytr).

## Can you cancel Jasper anytime?

On monthly billing, yes. Jasper's FAQ says you can cancel at any time, stop being charged, and keep using your account until the end of the billing cycle.

Annual Pro and Business work differently. Both carry a 12-month commitment, so cancelling stops the renewal but does not refund the year you paid. Try the 7-day trial and, if you are unsure, run a month or two on monthly billing before you lock in the annual rate.

## How we checked these prices

We read Jasper's pricing page, including its comparison table, billing FAQ and structured data, on 28 October 2026, along with the Copy.ai and Rytr pricing pages the same day. Prices are in US dollars before tax. Annual, team and 3-person totals are our own arithmetic on printed prices. The Toolradar figures come from its live AI writing category page on the same date. We plan to recheck this page every 60 days. A version written for AI tool buyers is on [AIpresso's Jasper pricing page](https://aipresso.com/blog/jasper-pricing), and Jasper's directory entry is on [Toolradar](https://toolradar.com/tools/jasper-ai).

## FAQ

**How much does Jasper AI cost per month?**

Jasper Pro costs $69 per seat a month on monthly billing or $59 a month on annual billing, paid up front for 12 months. Business is priced by quote. Prices were read on Jasper's pricing page in October 2026.

**Is there a free version of Jasper?**

No. Jasper has no free plan, only a 7-day free trial of Pro. For a free option, Rytr's Free plan allows 10,000 characters a month.

**Can a team share one Jasper Pro plan?**

No. Each Pro plan includes one seat, and Jasper directs anyone needing more users to the Business plan through its sales team. Three people on separate annual Pro plans cost $2,124 a year by our arithmetic.

**How much does Jasper Business cost?**

Jasper does not publish a Business price. It is a custom quote with a 12-month starting commitment, and some agent and GEO features run on usage credits on top of seats.

**Does Jasper offer a discount?**

Annual billing lowers Pro by $10 a seat each month, which is $120 a year per seat. Nonprofits can get 20% off by emailing Jasper after starting a trial.

**What are Jasper Pro's limits?**

Pro allows one user, 2 brand voices, 5 knowledge assets and 3 audiences. Style guides, visual guidelines, document collaboration, API access and SSO are Business features.

**Is Jasper cheaper than Copy.ai?**

No. Copy.ai's Chat plan costs $288 a year on annual billing for up to 5 seats, while a single annual Jasper Pro seat costs $708 a year. Jasper's case rests on its brand voice and marketing agent features, not on price.

## Bottom line

Jasper Pro makes sense for one marketer who writes for one or two brands and wants every draft grounded in brand voice and product facts. Annual billing is the cheaper way in, as long as you are confident that marketer will use it for a full year. Teams should treat Pro as a trial of the product and get a Business quote, because shared brand settings and collaboration live there. If price matters more than brand control, Copy.ai Chat covers a small team for less than half of a single Jasper seat.
