# Advertising to Fintech Builders

To reach people building financial products, describe the technical or product task your offer supports: integrating a payment service, reviewing a data pipeline or helping a finance team operate a workflow. Compare the publisher's audience evidence with that task. A finance-industry engineer is not automatically a fintech founder or a buyer.

*Published and updated 6 November 2026.*

Dupple publishes Techpresso, AIpresso, Devshot, Cyberpresso, Finpresso and MarketingShot and sells sponsorships in them. Its own publications appear in this comparison, so Dupple benefits commercially when an advertiser books a placement. Assess each proposal against the workflow and geography you need to reach.

## What the finance and technical-role cut actually says

**Our data, extracted November 2026:** 1,206 people who selected Finance & Banking as their industry and Engineering & Software Development, Data & Analytics or Product Management as their role completed Dupple's self-reported post-signup quiz between 5 August and 3 November 2026. Of that combined group, 26.2% chose Founder, C-Suite or Director/VP as their level and 58.8% selected a company size of at least 51 employees. The intersection is 190 people, or 15.8% of this group. This cut is relevant to technical and product work in finance, but it does not verify that respondents build fintech products or hold a particular title.

The [segment CSV](https://dupple.com/data/dupple-post-signup-audience-segments-2026-11-03.csv) labels this combination “fintech builders”; the [audience data page](https://dupple.com/advertise/data) explains the definitions. It is a selected, self-reported set of quiz respondents, not an independently audited count of a newsletter issue, all finance engineers or potential buyers. It does not establish that Dupple sells a targeted fintech-builder newsletter segment. The role categories are combined and the data does not reveal who develops payments, banking, accounting or investment software.

## Compare the publication context

The examples below are not ranked. They describe different editorial contexts using each provider's own page, checked on 6 November 2026. Ask about current inventory, region, issue and reporting; we have not independently audited the publisher's audience description.

*Two contexts for a financial-product workflow, checked 6 November 2026*

| Provider | What its source describes | What to confirm |
| --- | --- | --- |
| Dupple | Finpresso and technology newsletters offer sponsorship placements; its quiz includes a combined Finance & Banking plus technical or product role cut. [Dupple audience data](https://dupple.com/advertise/data); [Finpresso formats](https://dupple.com/advertise/finpresso). | The actual publication, available issue and what evidence applies to its readers. |
| Fintech Business Weekly | The publisher describes a weekly newsletter analyzing technology, regulatory and business-model trends in financial services, and offers newsletter sponsorship. [Publisher's about page](https://fintechbusinessweekly.substack.com/about). | Current sponsorship inventory, geographic fit, creative requirements and reporting. |

One provider offers a range of technology and finance publications; the other describes a specialized fintech and banking analysis newsletter. A specialized context may fit a particular infrastructure offer, while a broader technology context may help introduce a tool used across engineering and finance teams. Neither description proves an individual reader builds a financial product, holds a budget or will buy. The quiz does not measure the overlap between the publications.

## Show the integration boundary

A developer considering an API needs to understand the request, response, authentication and error handling. A product manager evaluating an operations tool may instead need to see the handoff between an exception queue and the person who can approve it. Explain the behavior your product actually supports and the prerequisite accounts, permissions and regions. Link to current technical documentation rather than assuming the reader can infer the integration from a brand name.

For example, imagine a fictional payments-software vendor showing how a developer tests a declined transaction in a sandbox. Its sample uses fabricated account data, shows the response and documents which person or system takes the next step. The demo does not move real money and makes no claim about a customer's outcome. If your product lacks a sandbox, describe its actual evaluation path instead.

Another fictional workflow could show a product team reviewing an exception in a finance-data pipeline. Show the source of the sample, the stage at which a person reviews a proposed action and what is recorded. A screenshot of a successful example does not establish the tool's performance across every institution, geography or workload. Publish a named customer or real transaction only after establishing the customer and exact permission scope.

## Support the claims a financial buyer will check

Specify the entity and service behind a claim about authorization, insurance, security or a financial outcome. Verify its scope, jurisdiction, date and conditions with the people responsible for the product. Do not imply a bank partnership, regulated status or certification simply because a product integrates with another service. A publisher's approval does not replace the advertiser's own review.

The [fintech sponsorship review checklist](https://dupple.com/learn/fintech-newsletter-sponsorship-review-checklist) covers the ad, destination and evidence together. Applicable requirements depend on the product, activity, audience and market; obtain qualified legal or compliance review for the actual campaign where appropriate. If a creative says an API reduces failures or a process saves time, use evidence from comparable conditions and state the limits.

For technical evaluation, explain the handling of test keys, sensitive information, logging and retention where relevant. State whether a sample is public, whether an account is required and what a production integration would require. Avoid publishing a secret credential or suggesting that fabricated test output demonstrates a regulated financial result.

## Make the first click useful

A sponsorship can invite a developer to inspect a runnable sample, or a product lead to see a documented exception workflow. The destination should match the promise and make the next step clear. If access requires an application, sales discussion or a signed agreement, say so. A demo using invented records can let a team assess the shape of the integration before deciding whether to connect real data.

Ask each publisher where the ad will appear, how the sponsorship is labeled and whether the format can carry necessary qualifications. Confirm current publication and dates, what the buyer can review before the send, and which report fields are included. Dupple's [Primary Ad](https://dupple.com/advertise/primary-ad) and [Dedicated Send](https://dupple.com/advertise/dedicated-send) pages describe distinct formats, but the actual proposal determines what is booked.

For the fictional payment API, a buyer could compare interest in a sandbox walkthrough across two different contexts while holding the destination and tracking convention steady. Different readership, issue timing and creative mean that even a controlled test has limits. A handful of visits cannot establish which audience is universally better, nor can it prove the profession or purchasing authority of the people who clicked.

## Define the measurement before booking

Choose a meaningful event such as opening a test guide, completing an authorized sample request or asking for an implementation review. Define the observation period and note what your own analytics can measure. Creating a key, visiting a page and completing a production integration are different events; none alone proves a financial outcome for a customer.

Record placement, creative, support and sales costs using a consistent window. Confirm whether the publisher's report is aggregate and how its data may be used; do not assume it contains individual subscriber identities. Compare with your own baseline and treat small samples, overlapping campaigns and changes to the product as limitations. The [newsletter ROI guide](https://dupple.com/learn/measure-newsletter-sponsorship-roi) provides a way to structure the analysis.

Opt-in feedback can reveal whether an engineer could run the sample or whether a product lead needed additional jurisdiction or procurement information. Such feedback may not represent every reader. Decide in advance what evidence would justify another test based on your product's economics, not on an assumed universal conversion rate or payback period.

## What we could not verify

The quiz does not identify fintech founders, banking licenses, product type, employer names, individual buying authority or the readers of a specific issue. The Finance & Banking industry plus technical or product roles includes work that may not involve building fintech products. We did not independently audit the quiz or the other publisher's audience statement, measure audience overlap, or determine the applicable legal requirements for a specific ad or jurisdiction.

## FAQ

### How many respondents are in the finance and technical-role cut?

The stated post-signup quiz window contains 1,206 respondents who selected Finance & Banking plus Engineering & Software Development, Data & Analytics or Product Management. It is a selected, self-reported group rather than an issue audience.

### Does that mean all 1,206 respondents build fintech products?

No. The quiz records an industry and a broad role, not the product a person builds or their specific job title.

### Can I book a fintech-builder-only Dupple newsletter segment?

The quiz does not establish that such a placement is sold. Ask about the available publication, format and actual proposal.

### What should a financial API sponsorship demonstrate?

Show a supported use case, how to evaluate it safely and any important account or geographic conditions. A fabricated test example does not establish a real customer's outcome.

### Does a finance publication guarantee a qualified buyer?

No. Audience descriptions provide context but do not prove an individual reader's role, authority, need or future purchase.
